Hello, today we are going to learn the character 右.
右, the character, comes from the image of the right hand, opposite to 左, which comes from the image of the left hand.
So 右 means right.
And as the writing changes, 右 adds one part, that is 口, which means mouth, indicating to assist with words.
So 右 also has the meaning of assisting in ancient Chinese characters.
And then people created another character, 右, with one more radical, that is 人, to indicate bless, assist.
So nowadays, 右 still has the radical 口, but the meaning is mainly right.
