So it's not often you finish riding one brand new bike and you get to talk about another.
This is the all new, just released today and very exclusive, BMW M1000RR.
A homologation special, so it's been released to give the mid-season demands that the team
have made on BMW, rather than them second guessing what they think they need for the
start of the season.
So we've got a slightly longer swing arm, the centre of mass has been moved back slightly,
the power is at 209 horsepower, full titanium exhaust, curb weight is down at 193 kilograms.
I'm just spitting numbers at you because all I've been able to do is read the press pack
information.
They've added wings.
Due rigour for any of the big, big sports bikes for 2020, there's about 16.5 kilos of
downforce at race pace, that's what they're saying, they haven't given an exact speed
where you get all of that downforce.
It's such a trick looking thing and it's packed full of the good stuff basically.
100% road legal, ridiculously, I'm looking at heated grips and you're looking at a world
superbike, it's just what BMW do at the minute, they're absolutely smashing it.
I think the stretched swing arm and moving the weight back is something to do with trying
to counteract the rear wheel lift that the guys have been having racing it.
I don't care and at £30,995, if it's this or a Panigale R, based on this last 50 seconds
that I've seen it, and these are the first 50 seconds that I've seen it, I'd go for this
every single time.
Check it out.
