First Impressions of the DOLOMITES! (most beautiful place we have ever seen)

For the next two days, we will be hiking and riding through the most beautiful place we
have ever been, hands down, the Dolomites.
What the frick?
I cannot believe these mountains are real.
We'll be exploring three of the most iconic destinations, including Sechera.
It just feels magical here.
Lago de Brayes.
I feel like we've peaked.
And Cadena de Miserena.
You could literally just slide.
Oh god, that doesn't look good.
As mountain lovers, this is a dream destination for us and we get to do it
with four of our best friends.
We're Jill and Hanna, and after traveling Southeast Asia for seven months, we've now
made our way to Europe, where we're spending two weeks in Italy with our friends.
After an amazing two days in Venice, we rented a car and took the most beautiful
drive of our entire lives to our Airbnb in this gorgeous mountain valley.
Good morning!
I swear, this has to be the most beautiful place I've ever been in my entire life.
Waking up to these views is insane.
It is so gorgeous.
We got up super early because we were supposed to have plans, and unfortunately our friend
Brady is pretty sick, so we didn't end up going anywhere just yet.
But we got to be awake for just this beautiful sunrise over this mountain valley.
Whenever we got up this morning, everything was covered in mist and haze, and it's just
like...
I don't care that I woke up at 5.45am.
I don't care at all because it's so gorgeous outside.
I could literally just hang out at our Airbnb like the entire time here.
And be completely content.
But no, I gotta get out there.
For now, we're just gonna let him get some rest, and we're gonna chill here for a while.
We'll check back in in a couple hours.
Alrighty, Brady is feeling better, and we are about to leave for basically one of the
most iconic viewpoints in all of the Dolomites.
It's called Seceda, and there's like a 30-minute cable car ride to get to the top of it.
It's gonna be so beautiful.
I'm so excited.
Let's do it.
We just arrived in the town of Ortisei, where the gondola station is to take us up to Seceda.
I'm so excited for this gondola.
It's gonna be so pretty.
Yay!
It's gonna land here!
Hang on.
Put your hands up!
At least we're not going down.
Look at this dork.
We have to go down, Brady!
Wow, we're flying!
I'm gonna vomit.
I'm flying, Jack.
Flying?
No!
They both died!
One down, one more to go.
Listen, this is what happened.
How do you feel?
Good.
The views just from this gondola look incredible already.
We're supposed to have 360 views up here, and I am so excited.
That is crazy.
Look at that.
That was insane.
That second ride was so fast.
It was only like five minutes to go all the way up to the top of this mountain up here.
What is this place?
Brady's dead.
He's been sent by the mountains.
This is crazy.
Oh my god, there it is.
There it is.
That's all the pictures I've seen.
I cannot believe these mountains are real.
Like, these literally look fake.
I feel like I'm looking at a painting.
How is the earth so beautiful?
Look at, like, the plaque.
Like, it just drops.
Like, it goes up like sloping hills, and then it just disappears.
I've never seen a landscape like this before.
Now we're taking a quick 10-minute path to give us the famous view of this mountain peak right here.
I said this was a quick 10-minute little path up here.
It might be 10 minutes, but it is so steep, and I'm feeling the elevation,
and my heart rate's like 125.
I think this will be worth it, though.
Based on the pictures I've seen, I'll get to finally see where the drop-off is, like the cliffside.
And that's just so cool.
When you stand right up here where this Jesus is, it's like 360 degrees all the way around.
It's so cool.
Absolutely insane.
But it's like, each way you look, there's like a different kind of scenery.
It's all different.
Jagged mountains behind us.
In front of us, it's like a big sloping incline of a hill, and then it just drops off.
We haven't got to the spot.
We're not even to the thing yet.
I have heard people, in some blog posts, people were saying like,
all the pictures of this place are like that one view.
Yeah.
But there's so much more here that some people like even better.
The views all the way around are incredible.
This is amazing.
Okay, we got a little sidetracked from the main event because we found this cool little ledge
you can like walk out to and go down on the other side a little bit.
So we're going to check this out first.
This view of the backside of the cliff looks so crazy.
My God, it's just a cliff.
We've been looking at these mountains for like at least an hour now,
and I still can't believe that they're real.
I just want to sit up here for like the entire rest of the day.
I could easily do that.
It's so quiet and so peaceful.
All you hear is the wind and birds squawking,
and you can hear cowbells from all the cows that are like down in the valley there.
It's, it just feels magical here.
Now we are finally heading over to like the famous spot
where all the pictures you see online of the Cacheta are taken from.
And this is the last stop.
I think we're going to make up here before we head back.
This just looks absolutely beautiful.
The way that the green slopes just end so abruptly in a cliff
that goes basically straight down is so cool.
I can't believe that the earth looks like this.
Okay, fun little update.
We just started walking down this path,
and we looked up what time the last gondola ride
goes back down the mountain the way we came,
and the internet says 5.30.
It is now 5.29, and we're nowhere near the cable car station,
but we're not sure if that's like the last gondola that comes up the mountain
or if it's the last one that leaves.
If it's the last one that leaves, then we can't go back the way we came,
and we have to hike three hours down the other side of the mountain,
taking us down to this little town down there,
which is not where we parked our car,
and it's about to rain,
so we might get stuck out here and have to hike for three hours
and then find a way to get back to our car on the other side of these mountains,
so we're really hoping that the last one does not leave at 5.30.
We will find out.
Also, our friends Hendrik and Casey went like way down this path ahead of us,
so there's no way we can run back to the station in time.
A few moments later.
Welp, we didn't make it all the way to the end,
and it is very much my personality to go all the way to the end.
Yeah, to walk all the way to the end of the path,
but we have to turn back.
We were almost there.
Yeah.
This is pretty freaking cool.
This is so amazing.
We'll see if we make it back.
It'll either be in half an hour,
or it'll be in three plus hours.
Who knows?
And it's raining.
It's starting to rain.
All good things.
Yeah.
But you know, I had a Reese's take five,
so I'm feeling pretty good.
They're so good.
They are better than Reese's cups.
I swear.
It's like, what'd you say?
A Reese's cup mixed with the Snickers with pretzels.
Perfect.
It's perfect.
Sponsor us, Reese's take five.
It's 5.39, and we're almost back to the cable car station.
Moment of truth.
We just barely made it to the last one down the mountain.
12 minutes late.
Yeah.
Thank goodness it was 12 minutes late.
And we're back on the ground.
We are so lucky that the last ride up was like 12 minutes late.
Thank goodness.
Time for dinner.
Yes, that's dinner.
Thank you.
Gracias.
Good morning, friends.
It is day two.
We crashed very fast and hard last night,
and I kind of just forgot the camera existed.
So now we're heading out to Lago de something.
Grace.
For a beautiful lake.
We just parked at one of the nearby lots,
and now we've got about a 15 minute walk to the lake,
and it is freezing out.
I can see my breath.
But it feels so good and crispy this morning.
There's this giant hotel here that's like right on the front of the lake.
That's crazy.
It's probably hella expensive though.
This coffee is amazing and warm, and it is right next to the lake.
Oh, there's a whole bunch of boats out on the lake.
Wow.
That looks cool.
This whole trip is like the Rocky Mountains on steroids.
It is.
That's like the only big mountain range we've been to before is the Rockies and this.
This outdoes them.
Yeah.
In my personal opinion.
I agree too.
I don't know.
Something about it.
Maybe it's all the Italian-ness around us also.
It just feels extra special.
I'm doing three seconds this time.
That's cute.
This lake is so gorgeous.
The sun hasn't even popped up over the mountain yet,
and I bet when it does, the water's going to look even more blue.
It smells so good out here too.
It smells like mud and rock and tree.
It just smells so natural.
Mud, rock, and tree.
Hey, I like it.
It just smells like nature.
Now we're going to walk around the lake.
We got here at about 8.45 this morning,
and there's definitely quite a few people here,
but it still feels super peaceful and pretty quiet, surprisingly.
I can still hear little birds chirping,
so I feel like morning is a really good time to come here.
I just love these giant, tall, skinny pine.
Are they pine trees?
Fir trees?
I think they're fir trees.
Hanna, that's not how you said it before.
I want to hear how you said it before.
I like big trees and I cannot lie.
You other birds can't do now.
Okay, that's enough.
Okay, that's people.
The rest of the lyrics are embarrassing.
Hey!
Oh, wow.
The water of the lake is such a pretty deep, deep shade of turquoise in the shadow right now,
but once the sun hits it, it's supposed to get like bright blue.
Everything is so pretty.
It's gorgeous here.
There's a bunch of fishies in here.
Fishies?
Yeah, those are the little ones, but there's big ones too.
It's actually not that cold.
I feel like the waterfalls in Laos were colder than this.
Yeah.
Which is really sweet for it.
I mean, it is cold, but it's a lot warmer than I expected.
But it's not freezing.
Ah, it feels great.
Hey, careful.
Watch the camera.
No, the karma.
Watch the karma.
Watch your karma.
How many times can I say this is the most beautiful place I've ever been
before people stopped believing me?
That's a good question.
I don't know.
I don't think, I feel like we've peaked.
Like, where does our channel come from here?
Not that our channel's peaked, but I feel like our travels have peaked.
But there's a lot more coming.
But this just feels like the peak, you know?
The peak.
Wow, that was the worst fake laugh I've ever heard.
Hey, it's a pity dad joke laugh, okay?
I don't want your pity, woman.
No, I was gonna, whoa.
Somebody's playing like a tuba or something across the way.
That's not a tuba, that's like a big horn.
Like a big, there it is.
I think it's one of those big wooden horns.
Oh, that sounds amazing.
Oh, that was good.
We finally found the sun and it feels so good and warm.
We're on the other side of the lake now and with the sun hitting the water,
it is just the brightest turquoise I've ever seen.
And there's boats floating on it.
It's so beautiful.
Everything you see is green, blue, or just like rock.
It's gorgeous.
We're almost done here.
But we have another hike after this, don't worry.
Yeah, we do.
I don't want to leave nature, I love it.
I mean, cities have definitely grown on me since we've been traveling.
We've got more nature ahead.
But nature is still like, is in my heart.
Guys, we found a bear at the lake.
Well, that was amazing.
We're headed back to the cabin now for lunch and then we are off to Cadini di Misurina.
We just drove to the top of the world.
This is just the view from the parking lot of the refugio.
That's like the base point for doing this hike.
And this looks incredible.
I don't think I've ever had the start of a hike look this cool before.
We're literally like climbing up and over the ridges here,
like right along the cliffs.
It looks a little scary, but the views are like amazing.
There's insane views in every direction.
Yeah.
Just like yesterday.
I know.
Man, the Dolomites are serving it up.
Our friends have discovered what looks like these two caves right off the path.
One might be a tunnel.
We got a little rock scramble to get down there.
But I guess we're gonna check that out first.
One of us gets stuck.
It's a lot better than all six of us getting stuck.
Wait, so the other side doesn't connect to the path?
You know what?
I'm pretty sure it does.
Okay.
This is fine.
We don't know where this tunnel goes.
We're gonna find out together.
Let's go.
Oh, hi camera.
This is crazy.
All righty.
Indiana Jones back at it again.
Tunnel-y.
This is so cool.
We're inside of the rock that everybody else is like hiking over right now.
It's a pretty roomy little tunnel.
Indeed.
I can't see the ground in front of my feet.
The ceiling looks so smooth.
It looks like it's man-made, you know?
Yeah, it is.
Well, the rest of it was more ragged.
This is not natural.
Well, they did a great job.
A shocking discovery by Han.
Hey.
This tunnel is man-made.
It could have started not man-made.
And we out.
Two thumbs up.
A hot adventure.
Oh yeah.
Crikey, what a great one.
Go Bills.
Well, you are revving Bills today.
We've come up to a fork where there's apparently an easy way or an adrenaline junkie way.
We're going the adrenaline junkie way.
This should be fun.
Basically looks like a narrow path that kind of goes along the edge of the cliff here,
but it's not too bad.
Bike.
There it is.
Oh.
It doesn't look too bad to me.
Just like stay right.
So if you fall, you fall right.
Yeah.
I thought it was all that wider part back there, but it's a little narrower up here.
Me and Han aren't really the ones I'm worried about though.
One of my friends, and I won't say who, is a little on the clumsy side.
Wow, just looking at these views behind me.
Holy cow.
Then some pointy ones.
That's what she said.
Oh, here's a scary part.
This looks like another world.
This part, like you could literally.
Oh God.
Just slide.
That doesn't look good.
And fall into the crevice.
I don't like that at all.
Here, let me take one of the things so you don't like have two things to.
No, you're going to film.
No, I won't.
I was thinking you're way down.
You're like, you're off balance from a backpack.
And I don't want to give you any.
So you'd rather fall?
Yeah.
No.
No, give me one.
Give me either the backpack or the camera.
I mean, it's just, if you lose your balance, you're kind of donezo.
Bunzo.
Be careful.
I will.
You did it.
My turn.
Made it through the bad part.
Holy crap.
This looks so cool.
This is like the main view here.
Oh, you do not want to fall down that.
Holy crap.
All right, I'm going to get a move on before this rain picks up more.
My dad is going to love watching this.
Hi, dad.
It's so windy up here.
Freezing.
All right, we are almost at the very end of this.
The big kahuna viewpoint that you see all over the interwebs.
It looks so cool.
Here we go.
This looks so cool.
Holy cow.
Don't look at me while you walk.
You nerd.
You got two plus.
I should run it for it now.
Holy.
Crap, that is the coolest picture I've ever seen.
I feel like I'm on top of the world again.
It's so cool.
What the heck, dude?
This is awesome.
I've never been surrounded by so many like impressive giant pointy rocks.
Never.
I think they call them mountains.
They're big rocks.
Oh, okay, my bad.
Let's go.
We did it.
Home sweet home.
What a view.
Wow.
No big deal.
I just live here.
We just live here with beautiful Delaware mountains.
I'm just like used to this view.
It's not impressive at all.
Oh my gosh, how sad.
I don't ever want to leave.
I don't either.
The last two days, we have seen so much beautiful nature.
And I never knew Italy had mountains like this.
I honestly think this might be the most beautiful place on the earth.
Like I feel like my life is baked.
Just being here with our friends.
I'm sure there's tons of more beautiful places we will go.
But like this just feels extra special because we have always wanted to go to Italy.
Yeah.
Well, we are off to Italy round three tomorrow.
We are going to the beautiful Lake Como next.
Heck yeah.
Thanks so much for watching.
Please don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe.
We really appreciate it.
And stay wiggity.
Punks.
Showing the view.
Is there a problem?
Yes, there's a problem.
My friends videoing each other.
Do you not control it from your watch?
Uh, I don't know.
I've never done it.
I am technologically not.
That's why I was a tech and now a YouTuber.
Aw, you guys are so cute.
Casey's always recording me while I'm recording myself.
Great job, Casey.
Did we have to pay extra for the cave experience?
Here's where you go if you fall.
Into the abyss.
Water droplet ruining my shot.
But I don't have time to fix it because it's raining.
Oh, there's a bathroom.
Oh, is that real?
It's full of poop.
Oh.
And like Italy plus mountains, beautiful mountains and lakes like is perfect.
Plus friends.
Plus Italian food and friends.
She's like everything but friends, right?
No, no, I didn't put the friends.
I was just adding the food on.
Stay wiggity.
