What's up guys my name is Ryan Shirley and last summer I spent several weeks exploring
the Italian Dolomites and I want to show you guys my favorite places.
The Italian Dolomites are probably the coolest place in the world and I'd highly recommend
you guys go there.
So for my first destination it is the mountains of Seseda.
Now to get to the Dolomites I flew into Milan and it's about a 4 hour drive to Seseda.
And once you get to Seseda it's this absolutely just beautiful green town.
When I first saw it I literally was just in shock it is absolutely gorgeous.
Now to get to the mountain range you're going to take a gondola up to the top I think it
was like 20 bucks and it's going to take you to this lodge and once you get to the lodge
you'll be at the base of the mountain and you can hike all over the place around this
awesome just incredible mountain range it is probably the coolest mountain range I've
ever seen.
It's what originally brought me to the Dolomites after I saw a video of the place.
But anyways yeah you can run on the green grass you can just hike around the area get
close to the mountain range but it's awesome I loved it so much I came back two times the
first time I went it was very sunny with very few clouds and the second time I went the
clouds were literally up against the mountain range and it looked like the mountain was
breathing air it was insane.
So I would highly recommend going there it is probably one of my favorite places in the
world.
But after Seseda you can go to the mountain range called Sassolungo or Lungo Que Fel it
is about 1 hour from Seseda.
This mountain range is just absolutely incredible I remember seeing a video of it there's like
a little lodge on top of the mountain thing over there and that really blew me away so
I was like dang I really need to go.
So how you get there is you're going to take like this one person ski lift thing up to
the top of the mountain I can't remember how much it was I think it was like around 10
dollars.
But anyways you get to the top the rock is just absolutely incredible I had like time
of my life flying my drone there.
Just absolutely beautiful and then you can also just drive around the area and you get
some amazing amazing shots of the mountain range and of the surrounding area it's absolutely
beautiful so I highly recommend you go there.
Next place after Sassolungo is Lago de Bre and it's about a 2 hour car ride.
The drive to Lago de Bre is absolutely beautiful just you're going to be mind blown and once
you get to Lago de Bre you're going to be blown away.
Not only by like this crazy color of the water but also the backdrop of the lake they're
also famous for having their rowing boats which you can rent and take out the water.
When I got there I hadn't showered in like 4 days and so me and my buddy George we thought
it would be fun to jump in the water.
Freezing cold but you know it felt so good refreshing it was an awesome time.
So yeah I love Lago de Bre I'd suggest going in the morning when there's not a lot of people
because it is very touristy but make sure you add that to your list.
So after Lago de Bre we headed to Tre Cime de Labaredo and this is probably one of my
favorite places to spend my time when I was in the Dolomites.
I literally spent 4 or 5 days there because there's so much to do.
Tre Cime de Labaredo is probably one of the most famous mountain ranges in the Dolomites
it's those 3 peaks.
Tre Cime it means the 3 chimneys of Labaredo so pretty awesome place.
So to get in the park it's a little expensive I think it was $35 but you're going to drive
up the road and you're going to get to a parking lot and there's a refuge or like a lodge and
from the lodge you can hike about 1 or 2 miles and it's going to get you to the base of Tre
Cime de Labaredo and you're going to be blown away when you see these mountains they're
absolutely incredible.
When I was there I wanted to get to a high vantage point so I could get a better shot
so I followed some rock climber guys and we climbed to the top of this cross it was pretty
dangerous I wouldn't recommend doing it without climbing gear and if you want to learn more
about that hike I did a vlog about it.
But yeah so you could just walk around the 3 peaks there there's so much to do like literally
you could just spend days there it's just absolutely incredible.
So for the last part of this video we're going to go to the back side of Tre Cime de Labaredo
it's on the south end.
If you don't know the name of the hike you're just going to have to look for these mountains
if you go there you'll be able to see them from the lodge but anyways you hike south
and you're going to get to this ridge line and you'll be able to see these mountains
and they're just absolutely incredible there's so much to do when you get there you could
literally hike down to the bottom of them you can just enjoy the scenery take a lot
of pictures you have the awesome mortar like mountains and you also have the back side
of Tre Cime there's literally just mountains everywhere it is absolutely beautiful.
So anyways that is my top 5 favorite places to visit in the Dolomites if you guys have
a chance to go I would highly recommend it it is just one of my favorite places in Europe
and it's not that expensive compared to like other places such as Switzerland.
So make sure you guys put that on your bucket list it is Ryan Shirley and we will see you
later.
