What's up fam!
In today's Day in the Life with the MacBook pro M4 Pro chip I'll be sharing what a real day in my life looks like, discussing the nano-texture display, apple intelligence, video editing and performance.

I upgraded my MacBook a few weeks ago so
this is my day in the life with the M4
Pro chip 48 GB of memory and 2 terab of
storage so I posted an IG story asking
you all what you wanted to see for this
video and I love that you guys went all
in on the questions they're so helpful
for making these videos the goal for
this video is answer the more popular
kind of trending questions in the IG
story there's so many I could easily
make one or two more videos I'll also
include some of the features that have
made the most difference with the M4
MacBook Pro and of course show someday
in a life stuff as a ex offer
engineer so per usual I started my day
around 8:30 a.m.

I ate kind of crazy last night wing stop
and Chinese food yes very big back but
yesterday I had a very long shoot for a
commercial we're shooting with a brand
so I decided to reward myself for the
successful shoot with the biggest big
back meal one could think of all right
I'm exaggerating it wasn't that crazy
but I had wings scallion pancakes and
wanton soup but anyways I got to lock
back into my fitness goals so it'll just
be black coffee this morning you guys
know how I love my creamer but today I'm
going to fast to about 2:00
p.m. so after making a cup of coffee for
me and Lee I decided to work from the
dining room table for some reason I have
a hard time being productive when going
straight to the office after just waking
up I think working from a more cozy area
like the dining room has improved My
overall productivity I'm still using
reclaim AI to structure my days I saw
the feedback from the last video and I
truly appreciate your honest responses
about not enjoying it as much now being
full-time I was experimenting with
something different and while I
genuinely do like using this tool and
wanted to share it with you all I
understand why some of you were
frustrated that I dedicated an entire
video to it instead of sticking to my
usual video style so don't worry I'll
make a for with some bangers starting
with this one the first task is my
morning email catchup that I have time
blocked I have two email sessions time
blocked throughout the day it's just
because I noticed that email takes way
longer than it should and I want to make
sure that I respond to everyone within
24 hours and you'd be surprised how
difficult that can be when you don't
have time blacked out for email one
thing I've Loved about the M4 MacBook
Pro is the nanotexture display all right
so I just want to show you all how much
of a difference it is between the sander
glass versus the nanotexture glass I
first want to show you what the displays
look like you probably won't notice a
difference maybe the Nano texture will
look a bit more like smooth or like
softer I'm not sure if the camera will
pick up those details but they both have
up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness you
will notice a difference however with
the M4 chip
MacBook display because it has SDR
brightness up to 1,000 nits for when
you're Outdoors before I tell you which
one is which can you tell which one is
the M3 Pro versus the M4
Pro left or right all right so this is
the M4 Pro with the nanotexture display
and maybe towards the edge of the frame
where the colors are a bit more dark and
there's more Shadows you can kind of
tell that it's a nanotexture display in
that it looks more matte versus this
display looks a lot more shiny I can
even tell myself from the viewfinder
while shooting this video so I'm going
to open up the blind to show you how
dramatic of a difference it
is now you all should be able to see how
much glare and reflection the M3 MacBook
Pro has versus the M4 with the
nanotexture display and as you can see
I'm moving across the screen and my
reflection has got gotten bigger
obviously cuz now I'm standing in the
middle of the laptop and it's reflecting
the entire top half of my body but as I
move across to the nanotexture display
M4 MacBook Pro you can't see me at
all look at the difference this
difference is key and from my initial
experiences of using the M4 MacBook Pro
I imagine that most of you all will be
upgrading from MacBook Pros or even PCS
that are maybe more than 2 or 3 years
old and I just feel like if you're going
to wait that long to upgrade your laptop
why not get the best version it really
is the one with the nanotexture display
it's honestly one of the main reasons
why it took me so long to get a MacBook
Pro because I didn't have access to the
nanotexture display they didn't have any
nanotexture displays at the Apple store
so I couldn't just go in store and get
them which is one of the reasons why I'm
so late with this video the Nano texture
makes the display looks so silky and
smooth you really have to see it in
person and it does a good job of
reducing glare and reflection and also
smudging and getting fingerprint marks
on the display we have very large
Windows even though they're not Florida
ceiling they're much larger than they
look and even with them partially closed
there's a ton of light that comes into
the space and I've had no issues with
this display even at 50% brightness so
in terms of some of the apps I'm using
started recently using Weatherly a very
clean and useful app that you can access
from the menu bar to quickly see the
weather for the next 24 hours I'm loving
the osmo pocket mobile 3 because it's
such a discrete camera and then just
face tracking is next level so it just
takes some of the most mundane shots and
make them look so much more kind of
dynamic and a better POV but we're going
to run 2 to 3 miles we'll see I might
only run like 15 minutes because of the
workout I have later on and and I'm
getting pretty pressed for time but it's
a really beautiful day the snow's still
on the ground which is kind of crazy
because I can tell you the last time I
seen New York City snow this much yeah
it's going to be a 15-minute run because
I forgot my phone upstairs which I've
never done before but I'm not running
more than 15 minutes without music and
I've got this workout in like 2 hours so
let's just make it a quick recovery run
[Music]
so after doing a quick recovery run I
took a shower and did my skincare
routine some of you all ask about why I
chose a 14in and the main reason is
portability I do quite a bit of work
outside the office and I think the 14in
is is the perfect size genius move by
Apple for creating a 14in giving us just
enough screen real estate to have
multiple windows open and compact enough
to fit inside a medium-sized bag and
since I'm not compromising any power or
features by using the 14-in instead of
the 16in as someone who is always on the
go this was a no-brainer for
[Music]
me now that my fast is up I went over to
the Food Hall to grab a quick bite for
lunch before I did my second workout of
the
[Music]
day of Y get of Y
[Music]
after grabbing lunch and lifting I
needed to create a concept Doc in notion
upload some clips and photos for both my
video editor and thumbnail editor before
heading to one of my favorite coffee
shops in dumbo it's about 300 p.m. and
the MacBook Pro still had 84% battery
remaining the M4 MacBook Pro offers
exceptional battery life can last up to
22 hours on a single charge for web
browsing and more basic tasks keep in
mind my laptop is really off the charger
since it typically is connected to the
studio display which has one Upstream
Thunderbolt 3 USBC port with 96 WS of
charging power although Mac OS 15
Sequoia allows you to drag windows to
the edges of the screen screen to
automatically position them I still use
magnet because I find that it's easier
to just select the position in the
magnet drop down menu opposed to
manually doing
[Music]
so in terms of using Apple intelligence
I really only use it for hands-free
actions and every once in a while for
writing tools on the MacBook the main
reason is because I find that Chad gbt
is still a much more efficient tool for
getting information quickly and I use
notion for about 90% of my AI writing
tools don't get me wrong I think the
combination of the Apple ecosystem with
apple intelligence has improved my
experience with the M4 MacBook Pro being
able to quickly access my notes in
iCloud and translate them into summaries
or more concise
[Music]
notes also being able to quickly change
my pH Focus mode and respond to text
messages using my phone laptop and watch
will always keep me in the ecosystem
also I noticed that the MacBook Pro with
the M4 chip has frozen up a few times
when using Chrome and apparently I'm not
the only one that's experienced this
when looking on Reddit but it may be
time to switch my preferred web browser
from chrome to Safari or potentially
looking at ARC browser or even op

with such a
small after finishing up some work I
headed over to Hudson Wilder and Dumbo
for their signature pourover coffee
despite the frigid January temperatures
that had me bundled up in layers the
late afternoon treated us to an
absolutely stunning Sunset Sky
transformed into a mesmerizing display
of cotton candy pinks and purples
creating the perfect backdrop against
Manhattan skyline and making the code
Trek completely worth it nothing better
than escaping the code with a cup of
coffee at one of the most aesthetic
cafes in New York City Hudson Wilder a
concept showroom Studio Cafe offering po
style coffee
which I think is really unique being
able to see your coffee brewed in real
time they also had pastries today from
one of my favorite French restaurants
Bazar and if you notice coffee table
books Ceramics and artwork for sale it's
because they offer a collection of
curated Art and Design pieces from both
local and Global creators creating a
multisensory type of experience really
unlike any other Cafe I've ever been to
[Music]
[Music]
speaking more on the Apple ecosystem I
love how seamlessly the universal
clipboard feature is I'm Blown Away by
the face tracking and camera quality of
the osmo pocket 3 and wanted to share my
experience and was able to instantly
copy and paste an Amazon affiliate link
from my MacBook Pro to my iPhone to
quickly share it on my Ig story making
content creation feels so
[Music]
effortless since I was in the area I
decided to drop by a homegood store next
door to Hudson Wilder called viso they
sell high quality throws pillows
Ceramics oh yeah and there was also this
adorable miniature golden doodle that
also pooped on the floor which I've also
never seen seeing dog poop in a high-end
HomeGoods store was actually something I
did not expect this afternoon after
realizing B was way over my budget I
decided to pop over to General front
store easily one of the best curated
vintage stores in New York City I tried
on a few vintage YY Miyaki pieces I was
really feeling this sweater it's just
the material was a bit too itchy the
cool thing about General front store is
that they have both a showroom and an
outpost store

and experience This Ginger honey tea was
the best I've had in a long time really

night photo and video editing on the M4
MacBook Pro with 48 GB of RAM has been
an absolute GameChanger from my workflow
after upgrading from having 16 GB of RAM
with the M3 Pro chip the system handles
4K footage like it's nothing I can scrub
through timelines at Full Resolution
without often dropping frames or having
preview lag even when running other apps
in the background like Lightroom
importing footage is lightning fast and
the real-time playback remains buttery
smooth even after applying effects and
color grading what's particularly
impressive is how the MacBook Pro with
the M4 chip maintains this level of
performance whether I'm connected to
power or running on battery allowing me
to edit efficiently anywhere even when
in normal power mode and finally I
wrapped up the night with more photo and
video editing thank you all for watching
this video if you want a more
comprehensive review be sure to give
this video a thumbs up and as always I
hope you all enjoy the rest of your week
stay blessed peace
