We're going to push the button at the same time and see which one starts up.
Here we go.
So if the 2025 Nissan Murano being fully redesigned, a lot of you've been asking
us to do a comparison between the 2024 Nissan Murano and the 2025 Nissan Murano.
So we're going to compare the ins and outs of each model, show you what's new to
help you determine which one should you buy.
Let's look at the changes between the front ends here.
You can see this one comes in the gorgeous Aurora blue is what they're calling it.
Well, we do have the platinum white.
So this is a new color for 2025.
Sorry about the snow, little dirty today, but nothing we can do about that.
There's a lot of salt on the roads.
You can see they kind of changed the front end here between the two models.
This one has the plastic V motion grill while here they kind of went with this
slotted out front grill.
So a little different styling.
You can also see this new Murano, they upped the ground clearance.
So you got a little bit higher ground clearance.
Perfect on a day like today, you can kind of see it sitting on a little higher
stance than the previous one.
And just as very modern looking, almost electric car looking here.
You have the full LED headlights.
This one comes with the LED headlights, but they are that boomerang kind of style
that Nissan was doing in the past handful of years.
So comment what you guys think of the front ends, little different, but you have
more tech in this one and a little bit more modern styling on the side profile.
You can also see some big changes here.
This is the 2025 and I want to start with the rims.
These are 21 inch machine finished rims.
Now they kind of look like hubcaps with these little centers.
See, if you hear me knocking, this is the aluminum alloy, and this is kind of a
plastic piece that they've added, but let's compare it to the other side.
You see this, this is a true aluminum alloy rim.
None of this plastic stuff is in between.
This 2024 style has the 21 inch aluminum alloy rims.
Both cars are going to come with front and rear disc brakes.
So I kind of think they added those plastic caps in the other one to hide
showing the brakes, all of them are going to come with all season tires and Nissan's
intelligent all wheel drive, no matter which one you buy.
A little more chrome on the older style.
This one being the 2024, you can see we have the chrome on the side sill and all
around the windows, silver roof rails on this one.
So you can get the Nissan cross rails and mount things to the roof.
And then, like I said, my other videos, they blacked out the back to kind of give
it that floating roof look, but between the two, there's just a bit more chrome
and kind of classic look compared to our 2025.
It's a bit more black, which contrasts well with this Aurora color here.
You can choose two tone roofs in these Platinum models, but
this one is the straight roof.
You can see there's just one chrome piece throughout, it's
body colored matching handles.
And then you have to add the roof rails.
If you want the roof rails, it doesn't come with roof rails, which is a surprise
to me, but the black contrasts great with those rims on this one.

If you guys are new to the channel, we did post our full review of the Nissan
Moreno, so be sure to check that out if you want to see the full review.
To compare apples to apples, we have both Platinum models here,
the 2024 and the 2025.
Now there is some significant changes to the power plan and let's start
with the 2025, what's new on it.
So this one comes with a two liter four cylinder.
It does have Nissan's VC turbo, variable compression turbo, and it has about
241 horsepower and 261 pounds feet of torque.
There's no CVT in this one.
This one comes with a nine speed automatic transmission.
So all you CVT haters, you guys can rejoice.
Now our 2024, this one is going to come with a 3.5 V6.
So they got this tri-trusted V6 engine and they went down to the turbo for
the 2025 model, 3.5 V6 CVT transmission, 260 horsepower and 241 pound feet of torque.
So more horsepower on this.
That one has a turbo.
We got to get these things on the road and compare.
So the roads are a little slick today, but this is a great day to compare the two cars.
Now, right now we're in the 2024 Moreno.
And like I mentioned before, it's got a 3.5 V6 engine and a CVT.
So it does drive a little different than the 2025.
One thing I can tell you about this engine is this one is trusted and reliable.
These engines will last a long time and they won't really die.
I've seen a lot of Morenos with 300, 350, a hundred thousand kilometers on them.
The thing that's going to kill this vehicle is like the salt and everything on the road
and the vehicle will probably rust out before maybe your CVT.
You guys can comment below right away.
When I jump into this, I can just tell it's so much more quieter.
Now, this one gives you 23 MPG or 10.2 liters per every hundred kilometers combined
between the city and the highway.
So relatively the same.
What I noticed right away is this one accelerates a lot quicker out of the gate.
When you step on it, there's a slight turbo lag with this.
But it does pick up quicker than the 2024.
And the reason for that is because the torque and horsepower ratio are flipped.
The other one has more horsepower, but less torque.
This one has less horsepower, but more torque.
You can really see when I put my foot down.
However, the zero to 60 is longer on this as a zero to 60 is 7.7 is what they're showing on paper.
This one has 24 MPG combined between the city and the highway.
That's about 10.4 liters for every hundred kilometers.
Zero to 60 in 7.1 seconds.
So on paper, the mileage is very similar between the two.
Now, let's talk about the interior of the cars, because this is where they really set each other apart here.
This is the 2025 Murano, and it's been fully redesigned here.
So you can see it has kind of a two-tone interior with the brown and the black stitching.
You have different kind of lighting, ambient lighting that you can change.
A lot more modern looking.
Now, this one has the button shifter knob in the center.
So it's an electric shifter and it frees up a lot of space.
You can see how much space is in the center stack here.
Overall, just a bit more modern looking, nice soft surfaces.
Let's look at the 2024.
Now, Nissan has kept this interior relatively the same since 2014.
So it's a little maybe outdated.
I don't want to use that word because it still does hold up to this day.
This one has the diamond stitching throughout.
Now, this comes with a tanned interior here on this specific Platinum model.
You can choose the black or you can choose this tan for the 2024 models.
I do like this tan.
It's very attractive.
Biggest difference here, you can see this is just a traditional shifter knob.
So there isn't as much storage space in the center stack.
You don't have that big gap like I just showed you.
But overall, this is still very sleek looking, but it just isn't as modern.
The buttons and stuff isn't as modern looking as the 2025.
This Murano shows how a little bit outdated it is.
This one is an eight inch touch screen.
It's Nissan's Connect.
You have the built in GPS.
You still need to do your wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
It's not wireless yet, but you do have the maps here.
Bluetooth for your phone, Sirius satellite radio.
You have 10 Bose audio speakers in this.
So the audio actually sounds phenomenal in this.
Let's look at the 2025 because you're going to see the difference here.
Now let's start up the 2025.
You can see overall, it's just a huge difference here in terms of the fit and finish.
This one is a lot more sleeker.
Even just looking at the wheel, you can see the difference between the two wheels.
And then you have these two massive 12.3 inch touch screens here.
So talking about the infotainment, this one is kind of brought into the new age here.
You have the Google built in here.
So the GPS is all done just like you would do a Google search here.
You can see we got the satellite view on here.
You can do an easy Google search.
It also has Amazon Alexa.
You can do wireless Apple CarPlay and you can do wireless Android Auto.
So overall, the tech is much better.
And this this one has the 3D view for the camera.
So much better camera in this one.
You can do all different angles while the other one just has a few basic angles from last year's models.
Backseat test for both cars.
This is the 2024.
We put this seat all the way back just so you can compare and you can see how much legroom I have.
And here you can see this seat is all the way back.
So you can kind of see the difference in how much legroom I have.
This one just feels just a little stiffer.
Now let's compare the trunks of each model here.
Our 2024 will come with the foot activated liftgate.
So you just kick underneath the bumper there and it's going to open it up.
It does have a power liftgate as well.
And here you can see the trunk, 32 cubic feet of cargo capacity.
When you're using this, when you have the middle row folded up, there is a little bit of hidden storage underneath.
There is a spare tire in this.
Let's look at the 2025.
Now the 2025 also is going to come with the foot activated liftgate.
Now this one has 33.8 cubic feet is what it is on paper here.
So apparently there is one foot and eight inches more of cargo capacity in this one.
You don't get a spare tire in the new ones here.
Unfortunately, that's been taken away from a lot of the new Nissans that we've been seeing.
Both of them, the seats fold down the same 60 40 split for the seats, and they both have this same lever system.
Now, there you have it, folks.
I could talk about these cars all day.
I want to hear from you.
Comment, which one would you choose?
Are you a fan of the 2024?
Are you a fan of the 2025?
This is really make it or break it for Nissan right now.
So comment, did they do a good job with the redesign?
If it was me purchasing, you know, for the 2000 extra dollars, I would choose the 2025.
I liked all the technology in it.
I like the pro pilot assist, and I do like just the newer styling.
It's 15 years from now.
This V6 engine might be lasting a little longer.
Only time will tell how reliable this 2025 engine is.
But we will see.
But as I said, let us know in the comments below, which one would you buy?
You heard from me, which one I would buy.
We'll see you in the next video.
