Sean here, ShopTaskYYC.
One thing that has been brought up quite a bit is how to get nice big jumps off of small
little mini ramps like this parking block or this little transition from the road to
the sidewalk.
So the basis of knowledge for this is that heel pop and toe push, so the whole jumping
series that we've done.
So if you've seen that, you'll have a good understanding of what I'm talking about.
If not, maybe go back and check it out, but I think you'll get the idea.
So when I'm jumping off of a smaller, steeper bump, it's going to be more through the heels,
so it's going to be more of a heel pop.
So something like this, if I was riding straight into it, it's really short, it's quite steep,
it's got to be pushed through the heels is what's going to give me the maximum kind of
jump.
Off something a little bit mellower, for instance this parking block, what I want to do there
is I want to enter in with my heels, and then as my heels hit the front of the ramp, it
naturally tips my foot forward, then I'm going to roll into a toe push, and that's what's
going to give me kind of maximum pop off of a small jump like this.
Okay, let's test out the theory.
Great, so I get a good little pop off of there just using my heels.
So this one is a little bit more mellow.
As I enter with my heels, there's going to be a spot where I kind of hit here, and it
stops.
My toes aren't going to be actually up in the air, but I'm going to be kind of pushing
them up this way.
Once it hits here, that's when I'm going to tip down with my toes, and push a little bit
off my toes slightly to the side.
