Merry Christmas, baby!
Hello everyone, welcome back to my channel. Today I am decorating our main living space
for the holiday season. I'm giving you a detailed look at our tree, decorating the mantle,
and adding all the beautiful festive touches to our new home. Thank you so much for your love
and patience with me. My decorating videos are a tad bit late this year. As you can see, I'm still
in the process of figuring out our space and trying to make things work with our furniture
in the new house. I had to shift our furniture around to make room for the new tree. This tree
was gifted to me by Balsam Hill. They are today's sponsor for our tree this year. I wanted something
easy to install, easy to fluff, looks realistic, has a mix of full and sparse branches, and an
absolute must is that it is a Real Touch tree. This is the 9' Aspen Silver Fir. It has over
1600 LED fairy lights. It comes in a 6.5', a 7.5', and a 9'. What I love most about this tree
is the Real Touch branches. The entire branch is Real Touch. No cheap plastic filler in the center.
I've always had a tree where it is Real Touch only on the branch tips and not on the inside,
but this tree is completely Real Touch. This tree is limited edition, designed with the plan
in mind. The plastic is derived from sugar cane. I have never had a tree look and feel this way.
It is so magical.
These stunning glass ornaments are from Balsam Hill as well. They are currently running amazing
sales during Black Friday. You can also use my code JENNASHOMEXBALSAM50 for an extra 50%
off your order. Thank you to Balsam Hill for sponsoring this portion of today's video.
I will have all the ornaments I'm using on my tree down below for you guys. I used a mix of copper,
brass, browns, silver, seagrass ornaments, and rustic metal bells.
I found these sure grip clips from Hobby Lobby to use on glass ornaments. I used them towards
the bottom of the tree and for some unknown reason, my kids have absolutely no interest
in touching the tree this year. Not even my baby Mona. Not a single ribbon has been touched
since this tree has been put up. I am so blessed this year.
For the burgundy ornaments, I added copper velvet ribbon bows to them.
I found a fully stocked shelf of them at Walmart, so I ended up adding six of these to my tree.
And for all my other ornaments, I used thin burgundy ribbon to hang them. I got this ribbon
from Amazon. My color palette this year is a mix of copper and burgundy and I am just so
in love with it. I also added different sizes of the burgundy ribbon this year.
And the stars up above are smiling
When they see you holding me so near
I see snowflakes on the chimneys
And the candles have a certain glow
A secret and a song
Even church bells sing along And the children making angels in the snow
To be given
I do have one DIY ornament for you guys. I decided to include my DIYs within my
decorating videos this year instead of having a separate DIY video just because I haven't had
time to make one. But I found these crate and barrel look for less bells from Amazon
and I spray painted them in the color nutmeg. It's a really easy DIY and they look really
cute for added texture. Moving on to my mantle, I'm using these cord bundlers to hang my garland.
I've always had an issue with my garland staying up but these have been great and have not fallen
off my mantle yet. I've always done an asymmetrical look but this year I wanted to do a symmetrical
one. I love the look of a draped garland but I have a baby and I needed this to be high off the
ground so I'm keeping it very short and symmetrical this year. I used two Norfolk pine garlands. Mine
are from Kirkland's. And for the third one I'm using a garland from Walmart. I love how full
this one is and I intertwined them together to give it a seamless look. This will always look
crazy before it looks perfect. I added a beaded garland from Amazon. I love love the color of this
garland. I actually took a break and split up my decorating into two days. It was just easier for me
to stop and take a break with my kids. I wasn't sure about adding more garland but once I added
in the garland. I also added some berry stems from Hobby Lobby. I used these during the fall season
and they were the perfect color for my palette this year to use again for the holiday season.
I couldn't find berry stems that I love so I ended up pulling these back out. My stockings
are from Amazon and the cascading bell garland is from Cottage and Key Home. Finishing the tree and
the mantle felt like a weight lifted off my shoulders. It just felt so good to get it out of
Madeline Ave Winter Collection. The large print is a 36 by 24 and it is called Between the Woods
and the smaller one is a 16 by 20 and it is called European Study. The artist behind the brand,
Maddie, hand paints her art and it's printed depending on how you want to customize it.
I decided to go with no acrylic screen on mine, just a canvas print. I didn't want any glare on
these. I cannot wait to pull these out every single year and it just feels nostalgic to me
and my family. My wall sconces are from Cottage and Key Home. I saw a creator on Pinterest drape a
garland in front of a mirror so I wanted to give it a try and I'm really happy with the way it
burgundy throw is from Amazon. I try to stay away from knit throws because they cause a lot of
pilling on my linen sofa. I purchased one Christmas throw pillow this year and paired it with my
everyday pillow covers that fit into my color palette this year. I don't like buying a lot of
with books. I know it's not for everyone but it is just the look that I love when styling a coffee
table. I've learned that you have to follow the shape of the table so I'm gonna start with the
with a vintage pot. I use stems from Amazon and Target. All the books that I'm using today are
from Amazon and my candlestick holders are from McGee & Co. The brass jingle bell is from Amazon.
I'm afraid it's sold out and I don't think that they are going to restock it. I did have some cut
pieces of ribbon left over so I decided to wrap the stack of books. I'm using painter's tape so
wood bowl. This has been a great sensory toy for Mona. She has been really loving this bowl filler.
The scalloped tray is from Amazon. My candle is from H&M and the candle snuffer and match
cloche are from Amazon. This coffee table styling only exists in my dreams. It lasted for a day with
my kids and currently I only have the arrangement and bowl filler left. I know the books and the
Maximalista look is not realistic for a mom with kids but it's worth a shot. I loved having it for
just a few hours that they didn't mess with it. And that completes today's video. I hope you guys
enjoyed spending time with me in our home as much as I enjoyed filming this for you. If you are not
subscribed already, please do so you don't miss part two, three, and four. My bedroom, the kitchen,
the foyer, and more decorating ideas this season. And I will see you guys in my next video.
