Right now we are preparing our old trailer for Belle to stay in temporarily.
She has recently gone into heat which is making our indoor dog Tucker bark like crazy.
The whole situation wasn't that bad until we saw a coyote on our property
midday likely here to eat Tucker because he was barking so loud.
But we need to do some extra work patching the holes in the trailer because
Belle is the biggest escape artist on the farm.
I need you to help me get this on there. I don't know how it's gonna go.
You're just gonna go ahead and uh close it latch it and then I'm gonna try and screw it together.
Okay.
You want to hold it so it's sitting tight on that end. So lift up.
Right there you got the inside done. You might want to keep holding that so it doesn't fall on your head.
I'll hold this. Go ahead and open it up.
That closes all that up. She can't get out up there.
That's not long enough. Yeah.
Well I don't think she'd be able to get through that tiny hole on the end.
It's Belle. It's Belle.
Good girl Belle. Hey sweet girl. Hi.
We don't like to have our animals locked up but we're doing this for Tucker's safety,
Belle's safety, and our sanity.
Okay so I have a drawer here full of a bunch of like goat birthing stuff and I think I'm gonna
move this all into the other garage to go with all of the other goat stuff.
It's just a bunch of puppy pads and blankets and that kind of stuff.
Any old blankets or towels or anything that we're not going to use again we always put
into the garage as animal supplies. We usually use them whenever animals are giving birth.
They're just really nice to have on hand. We use them all the time.
So the big thing that we need to get done today is move all of the straw that we baled
this year up into the attic of this barn which is where we keep all of the animals in winter.
Don't fall. You built those?
And all the old hay from a hundred years ago.
So everybody this is the barn loft that you guys will probably never see again.
A little bit more.
I need some air to breathe.
What do we do now? Start another row like that?
Should we start on the opposite side?
Or you can take that one straight to the back and go along the back.
How is there a cow pie up here?
There's every kind of poop imaginable up here.
It's so loose right there.
I fall every time.
That's looking awesome.
Thanks.
You guys are doing great.
13 left to put up.
At least it looks like we got room up here for it because I don't know what we'd do if we didn't.
Oh yeah.
I need to go to the gym when you can carry bales of straw.
I don't know if we need to go that high Isaac.
Really?
Okay so if you guys want to get that done and come on down I'll get the other rack hooked up okay?
And we're halfway done.
Okay we got one rack done.
There is like no air up here.
It's so dusty and disgusting and there's so much old like raccoon poop up here.
But we're doing good.
We're halfway done.
You ready?
We weren't talking to you.
Cuz you're no fun.
You just brought the bigger wagon over.
Can we go faster?
You get that more experience.
All right let's go.
I don't think we should really go up all that high.
It takes too long and we don't need that space I don't think.
We won't need that space Isaac.
I don't know if we need to go that high Isaac.
Really?
We saved your butt.
I totally have straw in my throat now.
I swallowed it.
I feel like this is all about this topple over.
Because it is.
That's because it is.
Hold it there Evelyn.
We're really filling up.
About 30 more.
Oh and a hole.
Bro in a hole?
Did you just bro in a hole?
That's what I heard.
What about some of my nose?
It just burst.
Oh it bursted?
It bursted.
It bursted a little brother.
Bless you.
What do we do?
I don't know.
Throw it on his head.
What happened for real?
It bursted.
Did the screen come off?
Yeah.
No it's still halfway on it.
Yeah so if it's halfway on we can fix it.
45 left.
You just guessed didn't you?
Did you say 45 left?
Well you said 30 left like 10 minutes ago.
30 more.
Oh no.
Bro there's the hole.
Bro bro the hole.
Are we covering those boards that I told you not to?
No.
No okay good.
Let me grab this before you bury it.
Oh there goes a mouse.
Oh my gosh that was a mouse.
You've been walking on a mouse all the time.
Oh that one broke.
Seriously?
Yeah completely.
Last bail.
Let's stack it.
Don't play theme music.
Okay there we go.
It's all done and you can't even tell the barn loft is as big as the barn.
Can I climb down there?
No.
This thing's about to fall off.
I'm gonna drop it.
I didn't say bring up my building.
Are you recording this?
Yes.
Wow thanks for getting a good shot of my butt.
Butt shot!
Okay we just finished.
I think the second one was a lot easier because we didn't need to walk as far back to stack them
but there were a lot more bails for that one.
We can breathe now.
Actual real air and that stuffy barn air.
Right now we are heading down to the back pasture to move the Dexter heifers in with our bull
and America is going crazy because I'm holding a scoop of grain in my hands.
We aren't sure if the bull where we got the heifers from bred them or not so we're going
to put them together with our bull just in case.
We tried to do this a while ago but it didn't go very well so we'll see how it goes this time.
To get them together we need to open up this fence.
Not gonna be able to tell there's a hole here.
Probably not.
Already one.
Then we went back up to walk the girls down and they were already running around like crazy.
The change in weather has made all of the animals extra spunky lately and the darker
one lavender is pretty skittish.
You never know how moving animals is gonna go but these girls seem to be doing pretty good.
Yes go out.
Good girl.
You too.
America was being so spunky and wanting to play with them it was adorable.
Okay we got one through.
Perfect.
They might just go right on through.
Oh my goodness that went way smoother than last time.
Oh no.
Nope.
So this is their first time meeting Rocky our bull and I have no idea how they're gonna react.
And they ran away.
And he decided to follow them.
Then the girls ran right under the hot wire and got in with the horses.
The horses were so confused and started to follow them and the hovers got scared again
and ran right back in with the bull.
Now hopefully they stay there.
Okay we've got everybody in the areas that they're supposed to be in.
It is rainy and cold today which is not fun.
Somehow the bull got in with the horses.
I think the heifers knocked the fence down now he can go wherever he wants.
We'll definitely do with that.
Tonight I think we're gonna do our first fire in our wood burning fireplace.
It's so warm and cozy and I love when we get to that time of the year.
We are letting Belle out of the trailer today.
She wasn't in there for very long but we're guessing her heat cycle is mostly over.
We let the other dogs out because the coyote still wasn't leaving.
His tucker was still barking a little bit so we needed some extra protection.
Come on Maui.
So now we're gonna try and get them back in.
Come on buddy.
Hi Jasmine.
He's gone.
You ready?
Hi.
So excited.
Maui is huge compared to Belle.
Oh my goodness.
We're so happy.
Hi.
Oh my.
The cats are hungry.
They're all following me.
Hey buddy.
He's so teeny.
So we recently found another tiny little kitten.
Guessing it's Hermione's.
Almost positive it's Hermione's.
I do not think it's a sibling to the little black one.
I think this little guy is a little bit older.
But he's just super cute and little.
So he's been eating food and we've been able to pet him a little bit.
So in one of my latest videos I asked you guys for name reco-
Reco-damations.
I asked you guys for name recommendations for the little black kitten.
And you guys gave me a bunch of amazing name ideas.
But out of all of those name suggestions I decided to name him Boo.
It was around Halloween when I uploaded that video.
So I thought it was really cute for Halloween.
And he was also definitely a surprise.
I have no idea who his mom is or anything.
So he just kind of showed up and said Boo.
So I think that name suits him really well and it's really cute.
So there's little Boo.
And then this little orange guy.
I guess he needs a name too.
He's pretty fluffy.
Oh my goodness he's so fluffy.
What about pumpkin?
We've had three pumpkins in the past I think.
I know.
Oh my goodness.
He's a climber.
Okay I'm gonna feed all you guys now.
Jasmine is recovering really well from her injury.
She's out with the other dogs now.
She doesn't limp at all.
She's doing so good.
She knows exactly how to get her head out of there.
They're starting to get their winter coats and they look so fluffy and cute.
Hi buttercup.
America.
I don't know why but I always sing her name.
It's just so fun.
Hey girly you want some treats?
I got some treats.
Maggie's got the zoomies.
I'm gonna go down and see my babies.
Hi Maggie Moo.
You're just the prettiest girl.
Hey Selena.
I just love Maggie's bay color as she's getting her winter coat in.
It's getting darker and I think it's so pretty.
There's a couple burr plants in here and of course they found their way into them.
Burrs are the worst.
I know I got it out though.
Maggie is the most sweet and affectionate oars I've ever had.
Hi.
Oh my goodness.
Oh my you are crazy.
Hey buddy.
Girl.
It's the cute little baby.
He's so cute.
Tucker has now been fixed.
We brought him to the vet a couple of days ago.
We were also concerned that the coyote might have also been here to try and breed Belle.
We weren't sure but we wanted to be cautious.
We don't need puppies let alone coyote puppies.
Secrets I have held in my heart are harder to hide than I thought.
Maybe I just wanna be yours.
I wanna be yours.
I know you're so itchy.
You need the belly rubs?
This guy has his tongue sticking out.
That's so weird.
Here kitty it's time to eat.
Belle not you.
It's cat food not dog food.
Oh hi.
I know I know.
I'm gonna go sit with the dogs now.
Hey guys.
Hi.
Maui you're so pushy.
So the farrier is gonna be here soon to trim the horse's hooves.
So I need to get the horses out get them all brushed and ready for when he gets here.
Are you gonna help me?
We do America's hooves every other time and I can't remember if we did them last time or not.
So I'm just gonna leave her out there until he gets here and see if he remembers.
Oh she is gonna help me.
Are you coming with?
Come on Ember.
Hey girls.
Hi.
Go to the gate.
Oh my spicy girl.
Maggie somehow managed to get part of her poulter in her mouth.
Hi Belle.
What did you get yourself into?
I don't know.
What are you doing?
Buddy.
Look who's trying to figure out how to untie the rope.
Yes I see you.
I'm watching you.
So
last time the farrier was half an hour late and I always get the horses out half an hour early
just to get them ready.
So I'm hoping we don't have the same thing happen again today because Maggie has the
shortest attention span ever.
Oh here he comes right now.
He's got a super loud truck so it's easy to hear.
Okay the farrier just left.
Both of the girls did really good.
I love my farrier.
He's the best.
He's really helped me so much with my horses.
He's really good with them.
Selena gets some treats.
This is our favorite part of farrier day, the treats at the end.
Okay Maggie.
Here's yours.
My life with the animals is hectic and basically an organized mess.
As much as I would like my life to be planned out and organized perfectly,
the animals will never allow that.
Now I have two goats that escaped when I tried to do that.
Knowing my goats, they're off happily grazing somewhere.
They cause heartache, unexpected vet bills, and sleepless nights.
But do I still find myself loving every part of it?
Yes, I do.
I am covered in pig food now.
My parents are first generation farmers and they have worked so hard to give me
and my siblings this childhood and I would like to do the same for my kids one day.
I mean how many kids get to say that their teenage job was raising and selling goats
or training horses?
I know that not everyone gets to live this reality or have a childhood like this and
that's one of the main reasons why I started this channel,
so that you could experience it yourselves and see how things work on a farm.
So if that's something you would enjoy, I would appreciate it if you would stick around.
That's the end of today's video.
Thank you for watching and God bless.
