this is going to be more complicated than we thought it was going to be this is a big window holy moly are we sure so family meeting we're demoing some of the wall we built what a waste of [Music] just walk up inside it there get under it under it like here would that make it easier to walk so you don't bang your shins into it step by step walked 100 miles and I still ain't sure just what I'm trying so hard to find the night seems longer and the wind blows louder when you want so far from home if I cross your mind say a prayer I find my way holy moly that's a big window Windows yeah nice job building that it's like the right size uh for scale this is a big window yeah thanks for that so we're going to put build some cleats and of course we're going to have to do some diagonal bracing and support cuz this thing is Big the wind will just take it off the wall if we don't get it locked in really good so we're going to start with two diagonals and see if that's enough not sure you know that you like you and Jet do this same thing where you like like explain something and make it sound so simple all we have to do is lean it over this way it's just like fine I mean simple I feel like we could almost use we need if we had like two people on the bags to grab the top and help you lift it up I ran out of scen no out of nails we needed what one more there's like there's some in there but I guess it's not enough that it'll let [Music] me just [Music] oh see we're going to have to get it up over the buter to yeah it up we should have done this from the inside probably yep it's too okay lift up again need to go JS way okay I'm at the corner of the buttress are you at the corner pretty dang close I want to put the level on it and see how what if it was like perfectly level are we sure hold on a second everybody hold it right there this to do we need a window this day I mean I would well keep in mind that we're not at ground level or floor level at least it's going to be a foot shorter like P probably just the sheer height of it like it's so much taller than every other form in here by a very large margin all right we're going to go past the plumbing I don't even know where to hold this thing it's very top heavy F the pling go down straight out nice I did not it's taller than our wall come sit on the frame everybody take a corner I'll take a so family meeting how big is our window too big too big even though we've mocked up the wall and there should be enough bag going over the top I don't feel comfortable seeing it in person I think there needs to be more bag that goes over the top of it I mean our goal was we really wanted when when you come in the front door to see the top of the mountain range that's why it's so high I think we're going to have to compromise it's like when you go to the movies and you get a seat on the the front row that's what it felt like you're like but look at the beautiful frame we made it's night hopefully we can we can use it we should be able to salvage most of this oh yeah for sure we'll just modify it yeah well what a waste of time actually it wasn't a waste time colossal one it was pretty fun to see it it was a learning experience we learned what we do and do not want all right we know that sometimes things sound good on paper but when you see them in person it doesn't always work so it's okay yeah good to know let's do it all right we've slept on it and uh we did a bunch of drawings and we talked to a few people and this is going to be more complicated than we thought it was going to be the plan is for us to drop the window down a bag and maybe even shorten the window yes shortening in a foot down to 4 feet instead of 5T will make it more manageable but the issue is it's just too high and there's a number of reasons it's too high has it's all related to countertop Heights in this outdoor water spigot and so the water sprig is going to have to move and it's going to be a whole thing so so we're going to do something we haven't done before it's demo day we're demoing some of the wall we built boo yeah also this is about a 5 foot section on each side of this water box so we're looking at between 5 and 600 lb per bag that we need to remove so uh we're going to try to just push it off first with all of us which I don't think is going to work and and then after that we going to have to attack it in small sections and remove it carefully cuz it's heavy we have all of our PPE ready and we have uh all of our weapons of choice so we're ready wish us luck to knock this down all right everybody everybody on this side we don't want to push any of this wall towards our plumbing on the ground here so we're going to start with one section and we're all just going to push at the same time and see if we can move it it will probably move a little bit is there even room for all of us come on aah everybody hold on everybody should probably we kind of go up and out up and over and also you probably just want to keep your arms close don't you don't extend your arms cuz you're going to hurt yourself right ready set no hold on hold on jeez you got you got wa till we ready I said Ready set go were all ready everybody had their hands everybody was ready all right on three 1 1 2 oh my gosh I did it I didn't think we'd be able to do that now what happened on the other side all right let's see the other one oh it hit our buttress that's not good uhoh damage it yeah real bad that's not good so we don't want to do that because that huge bag heavy bag landed on our butress whoops I think we can fix it it's not a huge deal but we don't want that to happen again no not ideal so we're going to probably chop this yeah chop this one in sections and take it off also it damaged this because broke the compression on it man yeah I think when you lift it up like when we pushed it all the weight was right there and it's just like that was a lot of weight okay so we'll be a little more more Surgical at least like we need to chop the edge off and then we could toss it but yeah we need to be a little bit more careful if we were to make more um bag mix and we were to get the bag area wet I think if we really pressed it into there like I was thinking of like no I'm talking about bottom if we sift the rocks out cuz you don't want the rocks in there sip the rocks out get a really wet mix could we put more like concrete I was thinking of doing that but also adding bag to patch it just to keep it well there's bag there so we could like f it up and then press it in I want to take this off real quick and see what it looks like inside like look at that so that's what it looks like when you take the bag off pretty impressive I got to say it's a little crumbly in some parts yeah a little bit oh work IO almost you got to really I guess you don't you don't really want it to fall no I don't want it to fall that way make it watch out everybody move your hands move your hands watch your eyes I feel like it's just going to fall off it's not fall push it really hard so that it comes off away from the wall I can try it I don't know my side just going to it's kind of got to go up for now did you get it all the way through no here me finish well then it's not going guys oh wait wait wait you want me to use this cuz I don't want you to like break too much I'm afraid you're going to hit the other bag mess up I'm not we close to the I know but like will will that motion oh all the way there hold on the under bag I think that's good hold on let let's do it by hand from here yeah I think you got it probably would help to get all the way through it okay I think that's fine I think we can push that off I'm just afraid if you try to grab it from here it's going to I just need to pull it a little bit so it doesn't hit all right watch out I'm going to go a little bit bigger this time here like there's a big crack going like this that you want to help me shove it real hard yeah Ready set go look it didn't even break when it fell great is the bag underneath it fine yeah yeah let me pull it this way ready no just shove a little bit so I can yeah look at that Bo this down to 4T looks great on paper but once you get it up here we we just didn't feel good about it so we're going to cut this down to 4ot and get it installed this should be easy though right it's really because you built the form so well it'll just we'll just pop the end off we'll trim those boards down pop it back on can you say that one more time you built it so well I love when you say that they don't love it when you say that don't talk sweet to me don't talk sweet [Music] not advised to do it that way but we did it we forgot to account for the 2x4 that sets on top of the vertical 2x4 so we're cutting another inch and a half off of all the vertical supports to get it to the right [Music] [Music] height and I know that you will coming back since you gone I'm losing my [Music] mind a
