Decluttering & Organising My Garden Shed For Spring 🌷

hello everyone it's Janette here enthusiastic Gardener it's such a beautiful afternoon in the garden I will have to show you that my little purple crocuses have all suddenly emerged I was wondering where they were they're slower than the yellows but so pretty today and we only have 3 weeks left of winter and I know so many of you are still in deep snow but really really it won't be long so hang on in there because spring is on its way the best time of The Gardener's Year bless you lty it is however very very cold at the moment it's getting down to minus well it's getting down to zero at least most days but I must just tell you last weekend or in the last video I mentioned about getting possibly a new Palm to go here and I've now taken out my hooka the old big old hooka and and the buer which was there and I've moved it to here I need to prune the buer actually late winter early spring time to prune bleers but I went to local Garden Center and I found the most perfect Palm it's a Shamar Ops a Shamar Ops and it's going to go there but I don't want to buyy it yet because we still have a risk of frost and although they're Hardy at the moment the garden center that it's in it's kind of undercover so it's not completely climatized to any coldness so today I'm going to do something which I've been saying I'm going to do for pretty much a year and today I am going to do it hello everyone I'm Janette the enthusiastic gardener that was actually yesterday afternoon I didn't have enough time or daylight left in the the day yesterday to do this but today it's beautiful sunshiny lovely Sunday morning and someone's just decided to start drilling over there but there's a quick break in it so we are going to clean the shed out and yes about a year I've been saying this let's clean the shed out I'm going to do it today it may not be the most exciting job but hopefully it it will give you some motivation perhaps to do yours so as I mentioned last week it's a mess it's it's a tiny tiny little shed you wouldn't think tiny space could get so messy but it has it's got stuff and and the main problem is by the time I've finished gardening at the end of the day I'll just throw things in there because I'm worn out I just want to get inside so that's what happens and it's all these canes as well so I'm going to take the canes out and put them down the side of the shed but I hope that I might give you a little bit of motivation to clear out your shed you only take me I bet not even an hour to do so I'm going to do that and I just want to say hello and thank you to all my lovely new subscribers I've had lots of new subscribers because I can tell it's the beginning of the Year everyone suddenly keen on their Gardens sorry the drillings going on again they're Keen in their on their Gardens and they you know want some inspiration and and some ideas as as I do as well anyway so hello to you and please comment hello in the description box and say hello and say are such a wonderful wonderful community so let's get on with the shed what I'm going to do is just bring everything out put it all down here then I'll go through it then I'll put it back tier but my motivation to you if you want to do this is put some headphones on put some music on say to yourself right I'm going to listen to an album or something for an hour and just work for an hour that's what I do it's so enjoyable and I'm often quite disappointed when the album finishes because I'm in the swing of bit by then so come with me we're going to clean out the [Music] shed so the first thing I'm going to do is these which are my um Garden steaks all of these and all these canes I'm not bringing them out I'm just going to tie them down there that's it the staks are there big ones little ones and all the canes are up there and I can actually get in there now so let's get everything out so I've decided everything on this side is the keeping it pile and everything on that side is donate or discard and I never use this it's too much effort so donate pile this is vinegar that I bought to maybe clean my patio with at some point well I bought that probably four years ago and then I've got all different Garden shoes food more Garden shoes which I didn't even know I had mini head trimmer don't need the Box multiple heads we don't need that do we don't I have a load of grow bags this was from my vegetable growing days back in about 4 years ago I did vegetables sort them out yeah good girl then I'm going to throw these away these are capillary maps for the uh my little sea trays but they're so old and I've got heat mats four heat mats there that's very useful that's for do my weed killing which I do out here on the paving and at the front we've got um block Paving which is a nightmare for weeds a nightmare that goes in that got these which I've never used I'll keep them you never know you never know and more more Garden shoes I didn't know I had just found these These are they were trays for my fridge and I must have put them in the shed at some point thinking that they might come in use for [Music] this is the beer the bitter I told you about last week when I was trying out SLU beer traps these fat balls for Birds they're probably block hard then we just have a lot of fertilizers and plant food I mean I don't need this it's for fertilizing your grass which I have artificial don't need that anymore more bird seed well this is good I didn't even know I had this this is for patios weed killer it's expensive so I already have that one and I have this one so that's good then I don't use this anymore this was called zenui this was when I had boxwood caterpillars which fortunately I don't have anymore and I've obviously bought myself some spray cans at some point and some insect repellent more plant food ly you didn't know we had that and more PL food see we just keep going buying more this is a fting cover which uh don't need that anymore and we have a empty beer can empty box this is my lovely very good slow release Palm fertilizer from Hardy palms. co.uk definitely need that I really didn't know I had all these slugs be gone and then we've got that attaches to my hose pip for the fertilizer that can go in the garage M back paint and what's this oh this was when I used to have a lawn and I had two dogs then lty and Lucy Lucy blesser should be gone a year now bless her miss her so much this was to it's it's um yeah it minimizes the effects of salts from dog urine on grass because as you probably know when dogs um use the glass as a toilet it leaves yellow patches but I don't leave that anymore that can go get the gar with paint empty washing powder containers rubbish oh that's actually a guard for the little HED trimmer nearly there that's in the greenhouse more tomato pla food I've got some hormone rooting powder don't know what's in there I'm going to throw that away and this what is this oh yes this is my or the planting BBS more Garden shoes and an oasis floral foam this is the key pit pile all the key pits and this is the discard pile which is yeah what should we say 25% yeah 25% and let me just show you I have swept all the way down there and I've cleaned every shelf and it's beautiful and tidy and the floor is as good as it's going to get you can see that the shelves are kind of disintegrating now we've had this shed for maybe about I don't know eight years I'm keeping those up there I haven't moved those then I found a roll of fleece didn't know I had that that's handy and I have back there and I'm not getting that out it's a lawn edger electrical lawn edger which actually don't need so if someone wants that I can give that to someone and then that is a a hedge trimmer so I'm going to have a little break oh went back into the wall I'm going to have a little break and a cup of tea in the sunshine and then tackle this right tea break is over so I'm going to put it all away nice and tidy never get it in a mess again how many times do we say this h [Music] okay it's done let me show you I mean no this was not the most exciting of videos but I hope it's motivated you and now look I can get in there have all my my forks and things hung up and that's the hanging baskets the Ora the heat mats along here are all my ferti izers or weed killers and the weed killer box all my leaf blower tools those are the bags the grow bags so that's it I won't let it get in a mess ever ever again if you believe that you believe anything I'm so glad so glad I've done that um yes I'm sorry it wasn't the most interesting exciting of videos but this is just a kind of garden Vlog it's what I'm doing at the moment and I am so pleased that my shed is clean and clear for the moment I hope it's inspired you to do something I've done a load of uh decluttering inside the house all over the winter I've been throwing things away going through one drawer every night or one cupboard or just Tiding up things like in my wardrobe I've put all my colors colorcoded and I've gone to the rainbow so I've got all the blacks and the Grays and then I've gone red orange yellow green blue indigo violet and it
