Om Swastiastu
So, our group will do a clinical practice.
Before that, allow us to introduce ourselves first.
Introduce myself, my name is Riku Tudiari Santi, number 31, and this is my friend.
Introduce myself, my name is Komar Endat Jansuhari, number 22.
Introduce myself, my name is Ayu Mohaliza, number 1.
Introduce myself, my name is Sini Ketup Ritasari, number 28.
Introduce myself, my name is Ibutu Amalwipa, number 18.
Introduce myself, my name is Dewa Ngatiruta, number 3.
So, we will do a clinical practice on exotherm and endotherm using urea and carbide.
For that, let's watch the following video.
Let's go!
So, before doing the practice, I will explain the tools and materials needed.
First, there is a water thermometer.
Second, there is plain water.
Third, there is an empty glass.
Fourth, there is a spoon.
Fifth, there is urea and carbide.
First, we put the thermometer inside the glass.
Then, we put the second glass with 10 ml of water.
This is the temperature before the water is mixed.
Here, we can see that the water temperature is 30.
Then, we put the urea powder inside the glass.
We leave it for 1 minute.
Here, we can see that the water temperature is 30.
Now, it is 20.
So, in the second trial, we put the carbide.
Here, the temperature of the carbide is 40.
So, urea powder is a chemical compound with the formula CH4N2O.
When urea powder is put into a glass filled with water,
after a few seconds, the water will feel colder.
This is because of the change of temperature from the environment to the system called endotherm.
This change of temperature causes a decrease in the temperature of the environment,
so it feels colder when there is a reaction.
So, the reaction of urea and water is called endotherm.
Carbide is a chemical compound with the formula CH2.
When carbide is put into water, the water will feel hot.
This is because when carbide is put into water,
it will produce acetylene gas with the formula CH2H2,
which is easily melted and produces high calories and hydroxide calcium CaHO2.
This reaction is called exothermic reaction,
which is a reaction that releases heat to the environment.
That's all from our group.
Sorry if there are any mistakes.
Thank you for watching.
God bless you.
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Om.
Bye-bye.
