땡구네 동네 - Reading Class (읽기 수업) 01

Teacher, do I have to take special classes here starting today? Hahh... time really flies. What are you trying to say? 땡구, you were attending to this high school even way back in 2011, right? 2011? Yes, probably. And you still haven't graduated even after 14 years. Ah, graduation! Ay, I'll graduate someday! Okay, I really like your positive mind. The truth is, the principal took a special measure quite recently. So, from today, we're going to start reading practice, which is one of your weakest area. Reading practice? Me alone? I've reached to the conclusion that your reading speed is too slow, and that is causing a significant obstacle in all your other classes. No need to stress. We'll start practicing with a short story book for now. I've picked out one that is just the right level for you, after a lot of careful consideration. Yes, Aesop's Fables! Is it a bit too much for now? Can't we do this from tomorrow? Just reading the title is already wearing me out. Yes? Ah, yes. I see! I can read it now, right? One day, a peacock said to a crane. They can't even be compared to your drab wings, right? Then the crane replied. Okay, I admit. But I can fly in the sky. Your wings look pretty, but they can't make you fly. Uh? Is that it? Yes, that's the whole story for today. Did you learn something from this story? Like a lesson or something, I mean. Lesson? Well... Pride? If you have something that can protect your pride, then it'd be... "convenient"? Ah! "(then) you'd never be ashamed of"! What I think is important might be completely unimportant to others, and it's very subjective, but... for your mental health, I guess it's good to have something that can protect your pride. Hmm... an interesting interpretation. Good! Ooh, that's it for today's lesson. Wow, I never thought reading a single story would take up the whole class time! Don't feel self-conscious about it when I say your reading speed is slow. It's just you and me in this class anyway. Reading in front of you is no big deal at all, teacher. It's just that there's someone who make YouTube videos out of this... Suntae! I hate you! Ugh!
