How's it going everybody? I'm Nikki Delventhal and this is my dog Camper Delventhal.
We live in a 2006 Toyota Prius and we're here to take you along on the wild ride.
So fasten up your seat belts and let's have some fun.
Don't forget if you like what you see, like, subscribe, comment, share with your friends,
and turn on notifications. Camper and I would be so thankful. Previously on Adventures of
Nikki and Camper, Hotel Prius was headed north to go visit my parents where we unexpectedly ran
into some car trouble. Going to the shop again. This was a big push to hurry the search for the
next vehicle we would move into. So my dad and Camper had a boys week. Come on, we're gonna
party! While my mom and I flew to California to test out some more rigs. So far we've tried a
hybrid sienna minivan, a four-wheel pop-up truck camper, and a 144 4x4 sprinter van.
Just to get an idea of all the types of options we might like. So we left off last episode flying
back to Connecticut to reunite with Camper and my dad after a couple weeks apart. I'm hiding behind
this pillar so Camper can't see me. Hi baby! Hi there! I came home! Hi! I'm never leaving! I'm
right here! Hi! I missed you so much too! Thanks! Oh my god! Reunited once again, it was time for
our next big adventure. Do you want to tell them? Uh nope. Knee and car update. So it ends up in
this market. It is extremely challenging to find the vehicle you want. Vehicles that I would want
either aren't available or used. There's one or two left and they're not exactly what you want
and they're $20,000 to $40,000 more than ordering it brand new. But that brand new vehicle
won't come in for six months to even years. So the Prius will live on at least for a few more
months. And what was wrong with my Prius? It ends up I'm having some issues with the anti-lock brake
system. They did a couple resets and they said it's fine. It could be a deeper issue but let's
hope it's not. Oh yeah, no lights. Love it. And finally, before we go have some fun, my knee.
Uh it's been about four weeks since my procedure and still having a hard time on it. We're doing
okay. It's still a little too early to tell. I'm not good enough to get in the Prius yet. So this
week you are going to be a part of the family. Uh yes, you are a Delvin doll today. Fairfield,
Connecticut. Here we come. Let's show them. Let's go. All right, it's a Prius party. We're taking
you around Fairfield, Connecticut. Yeah baby. All right, hands and feet in the vehicle, sir.
Here we go.
Well, we know the only person in the family who has the parking skills and it's not Dan Delventhal.
First stop, Harborview Market. We just ordered our food. The line is literally out the door so we
got super lucky. Harborview Market is my favorite for breakfast and lunch but you have to get here
early because as you see they will run out. The main course is good friends and community.
Pastries and cookies and coffee and tea.
And just a quick walk down the way from Harborview
is one of my favorite boardwalks, St. Mary's by the Sea. St. Mary's by the Sea, that's right.
There's the condo you grew up in. That's where you were born.
I actually didn't know this. A little history we're learning together. Good times together.
Once we got down to the water, I noticed some people cleaning up the beach and we had to join.
So we ran into Chris from Clean Earth Projects. So we are going to spend some of the day cleaning
up the beaches. Garble grabber, garble grabber, garble grabber, grabber. These things are the best.
You're out of your mind. You would be so surprised on how
trashed all the beaches are. If you get the opportunity, please go out and clean up your
community. And even if it's not your community, let's help out. I pick up the little plastics
because not only that's what the animals choke on and they think it's the food and they end up
starving to death, but it also they have these like little microscopic jagged edges that pick
up all kinds of different toxic chemicals that hang out here. So those end up being the most
toxic for them to eat. How much garbage have we picked up today? I bet we're gonna get to
200. You think 200 pounds of trash today? It's all small stuff, light stuff, cigarette box,
styrofoam, you can see a lot of styrofoam. 200 pounds of trash. Amazing. After cleanup,
we made some friends and took in the beautiful day and beautiful views.
Oh, good job.
All right, load up camp.
Next stop on the Sunday lineup is Captain's Cove Seaport. I spent many, many Sundays here growing
up. It is a full house today. You can hear the live band. Camp, we're gonna do some shopping.
like you're on vacation, then you really see it. We're on vacation. That's the fun.
We worked up quite the appetite, so it was time for dinner, but make it with a view.
That was a freaking blast and the party is just getting started. Yeah, just wait till the beach.
We are headed to the beach and we're gonna make dinner right on the water.
I'm all out of towel. I'm so lost without it.
There's a ton of room.
Not bad. That was an awesome day. What's next, Mom? As you may know, Camper and I are partnered
with Jackery, so if you're interested in one, please use the link in my description as it
really helps us out. Good morning, handsome. You ready? Another fun day in paradise. Let's go.
Cheers. I completely unloaded my car for the car dealership, so
it's usually like a 24-hour affair to reload the car, so we're gonna do this very slowly.
God, we still have so much stuff. Almost three years and I still wonder how I fit all this stuff
in here. God, I'm good. Okay, we are mostly loaded up. Just have to do some more organizing,
and now it's time for fun. Oh god, we got a lot of organizing to do.
Oh, Camper, are you helping me do exercises? We're gonna go for a walk in a little bit, okay?
A little bit? I don't think so.
Really? Oh, Camper. Do you really have to do all this? Okay, okay, we can go.
We came over here to shoot a thumbnail for this video, and he has such separation anxiety with
Prius when my mom drove away. It's okay, come here. It's okay, baby, it's okay.
See? Look, the Prius is still there. Oh, you want to go inside? Okay, we can go inside.
Okay, go ahead. See, your home is just fine. Oh, good boy. All right, now that you checked it out,
are we okay? Yeah? He's so funny. We have so much organizing to do.
Besides what is in my Prius, here is the rest of the stuff that I own. This,
this is all that's left. Wait till you see this. Oh god, this is so heavy.
Can you show them? Some of you guys may not know this, but before YouTube and my travel tour guide
job, I was a full-time model in New York City, and I like to say a pretty good one.
Oh, my first modeling book. Okay, so I used to go to castings, and I would meet with all the
casting directors or brands, and I would bring this, and they would go through it with me. I'll
just... Oh, hello. Uh, yes. Those are the days. Oh, and my modeling card. So I would walk in,
and I would leave them with one of these so they would remember me.
It's so different now. Now there's creators and influencers, but this was before the day of the
creator and the influencer. Well, when it was first getting started. Am I dating myself? Oh,
my god, I'm dating myself. Wow. I used to be on, like, products. Oh, god, these were really creepy.
Fun fact, I was on the cover of probably 25 to 30 different magazines when paper magazines were a
thing. I was, like, the spokesmodel for Woman's World magazine. Oh, god, billboards, romance
novels, commercials. It was so fun. Oh, that was such a cool time in my life. That's right,
Camper. Mommy was cool. Oh, and magazines. I did quit because I needed to take care of my health,
and eating disorders are not exactly a good look. And to be honest, it was the best thing I ever did,
leaving modeling, but it was some really amazing years. I'm so glad I got to share that with you
all. We were having a blast at my parents, and with the Prius safe in the garage, Camper was
to watch over Grandma and Grandpa's home. But when we weren't doing that, we were out having a ton of
fun and helping out. Thanks for watching. Don't forget to like, comment, subscribe, share with
