kia all right guys so it's about time
for me to make an adjustment to my desk
setup i do think that this is a nice
setup but I've been going with this
maple wood inspired desk setup for a
long time and I think it's time to
switch my setup so I've been using this
Steam app called Furnish Master which is
Mac compatible and it's just an easy way
for me to play around with different
design ideas based on the size of my
room and the type of desk setup I want
to have instead of making a major
commitment like getting a whole new desk
and not liking it so instead I can just
mock whatever design I want through this
app not going to lie this app is pretty
relaxing and I don't know if addicting
is the right word but I feel like I
could be playing around and designing
this home office for hours but a part of
that is because the learning curve it's
not too steep but I was having a really
hard time trying to figure out how to
create these floating shelves but I
finally figured out that if you just
remove the grid snapping property it'll
allow you to freely move your objects to
your liking so now you can see here that
I can move the floating shelf anywhere
which took forever to figure out but we
finally figured it out which was one of
the hardest things so now we can freely
move whatever furniture we want

all right good morning guys so really
the point of this video is to show you
all what my life looks like after
working in tech now I did make a video
talking about why I left tech and
ultimately becoming a full-time tech
creator and I know that that disappoints
some of you all and I appreciate
everyone's support of course I would
love to be able to make more videos
focused on software engineering and how
they relate to technology but I'm just
one person and with this being such a
new phase in my career I'm still trying
to learn the system the workflow the
business and I'm only one person i have
hobbies and things that I like to do
outside of creating videos and sitting
at a desk so it can just be very
difficult to get those videos out and
with making so much tech content
especially on my short form platforms
I've had the really amazing opportunity
to work with a lot of the biggest and
best brands in the space and there's
always new products being released so it
can be hard for me to fit in the
software engineering tech videos along
with the tech consumer videos or at
least those videos where I blend them
together because I no longer make those
hardcore software engineering videos
anymore because honestly they're pretty
boring to make and on top of that I'm no
longer in that space working in tech so
it doesn't really make sense to do that
to be honest with you guys it really is
my fault as to why I haven't been doing
any week in a life videos and to be
pretty vulnerable with you all the main
reason is because since I left software
engineering I just felt like I couldn't
do work week in a life videos because I
didn't have a 9 to5 but I'm still
working and this week I'm going to be
working on some coding projects with the
M4 MacBook Pro and depending how much
time I have I want to compare that
experience with the Mac Mini since I
have some more time on my hands I want
to work on iOS development it's
something I've always been interested in
and dabbled in a little bit when I was a
front-end engineer working at
Progressive i did a lot of like Android
Studio type of programming and I did
more Xcode development when I was in
college but I spent most of my career
focused on web applications building
with Vue.js Angular and React and the
reason why I haven't really started any
web projects is because it's not even
because I'm burnt out i'm just not as
interested so this week was actually
pretty fun because I can tell that the
tech consumer space is starting to pick
up as we're getting closer to Q2 i did
an Adobe event for the first time ever
which was really fun in a very cool
space in Chelsea that I've been to
before for General Motors but that was
for the launch of Photoshop and I got a
chance to get hands-on with the
Photoshop mobile app before released to
the public i also got a chance to hang
out with some other creative friends so
that's always good i'm also working on a
potential partnership like a long-term
partnership for spring summer that I'm
really excited about and I think you all
are going to enjoy it too and it is a
more unique campaign and product
although the product isn't that unique I
think everyone would be interested in
this product personally but there aren't
a ton of campaigns for this specific
niche in the tech space this week I
don't have any creator events but I am
starting my half marathon running
program with Bandit Running i'm really
excited about that i've never done a
structured marathon half marathon
running plan with a actual running club
and I got a couple friends who either
work for Bandit are pacers and then
another friend of mine is actually going
to be a part of the program like me so
today is a speedrun and I'm really
excited about that my favorite thing
about running honestly outside of the
gear and the races is the community so
that'll be exciting the weather's
starting to break i think it's like
almost 60° today so this is the perfect
day to have a speedrun at McCarron Track
and then tomorrow I actually have an
event with Apple for the launch of the
iPhone 16e this is my second pre-launch
event with Apple here in New York City
outside of the events I mentioned the
priority for this week has been really
two projects and it's been with Apple
the Apple Find the world's thinnest
foldable device i've had my hands on
this for like 2 weeks now and this phone
is amazing the video I'll link it down
in the description box and then also we
finally released the General Motors
Chevy Equinox 2025 campaign that I've
been working on for months these are the
type of projects that get me so excited
i know so many of you have been watching
my videos because of software
engineering content and breaking into
tech but those of you all who have been
following me before those videos would
know that or have just consistently
watched all of my videos or most of my
videos you would know that I've always
been passionate about cinematography
storytelling and technology my first
videos were not software engineering
focus it's just what took off and it was
a big part of my life so it made a ton
of sense to create and also they
provided a lot of value helped a lot of
people understand tech get a glimpse
into tech and also break into tech so I
am still using to-d doist to plan out my
day and I did a read and cycle so I want
to read more books this year and the
easiest way for me to do that is to read
before going to sleep and also to read
while I cycle in the morning it's a good
way for me to burn calories get some
blood flowing in a morning but also a
chance to read interesting books like
How to Tell a Story and then I want to
post more on Instagram still trying to
refigure out that algorithm i'm supposed
to do that right now i also was supposed
to fold clothes like an hour ago but I'm
going to fold clothes first and maybe
spend some time doing some Instagram
inspiration i might push that off to
later in the afternoon maybe when I'm at
a coffee shop and then focus on some iOS
development and I want to do a good
portion of the iOS development here in
the office just because we have more
screen real estate with the 27in Mac
Studio display and also it's been so
long I feel more comfortable just being
in my own space watching a tutorial
because I know I'm going to need to
watch a YouTube video in order to get
started but with AI who knows maybe I
won't even need to do that just going to
chat while I wash these dishes and and
also make myself a glass with liquid
hydration tablet so the internet is a
funny place because I was really excited
about this very tiny pet project I was
working on where I wanted to see what it
was like using the OpenAI API and
basically build essentially it was just
a wrapper for chat GBT but nonetheless I
built it with Nex.js which is a
JavaScript library so it was like
getting hands-on experience using Nex.js
which is a really popular JavaScript
framework for single page web
applications blog posts and so forth and
then also reaclimating myself to some
back-end development with the open AI
API and I got cooked because as an ex
software engineer on Tik Tok they just
said all I did was build a rapper that
was
ugly and it's 2025 like I should do
better but I guess they ignored the fact
that it only took 2 hours to do that i
don't have a ton of Nex.js experience
it's been a year since I've programmed
and I've never used the Open AI API and
I did all that without even reading any
tutorials or YouTube videos just giving
chat GBT prompts like if I had this in
college that's why I think YouTube's
peak because the platform gives you much
more time to talk about these things
opposed to just glimpses and then people
are assuming all these things about you
but yeah that's just a little rant i'm
still trying to keep some structure to
my day so I still use My Fitness Pal to
track my macros and what I eat in a day
i think that's really important i don't
fast as much as I used to and that's
because I'm trying to put on more muscle
and eat more calories which is hard to
do because I still eat relatively late
and even if I didn't it's hard for me to
hit my macros and my calories for the
day when I fast so I don't mind having
coffee with creamer in the morning
that's not going to be the reason why I
don't have hard uh six-pack hard ripped
abs and the Apple Watch Series Ultra has
been my go-to fitness watch smartwatch
for the last couple months shout out to
Apple for sending this to me i have used
the Series 10 a ton and I switched to
this and I feel like it's going to be
hard to go back because with all the
traveling I love this because let's say
I go somewhere for 2 days 3 days and I
don't charge it during the whole trip
this thing would literally last the
entire trip versus my Series 10 just
doesn't have the battery life it's not
even really the size or the display it's
more just the battery
life if you guys are wondering I'm using
the Liquid IV hydration multiplier
electrolyte drink mix strawberry and
golden cherry and I think golden cherry
is better but I think this is one of the
best flavor combinations you can get and
I'm pretty sure we got this at Costco
[Music]
oh you love me
[Music]

[Music]
all
[Music]
right I'm back from Manhattan and I
basically put up all the groceries away
just had a couple things that I needed
to pick up we really need to make a
Costco run or do a Costco delivery
because since I've been eating so much
more the food just doesn't last like our
meats don't last that long and Lee made
a really really good curry the other day
so when she makes curry I mean that
never lasts very long but if you're
curious what curry we were using for our
meal a few days ago is this tikka masala
simmer sauce so technically it was
chicken tikka masala and it was amazing
and this is from Target all right so I'm
going to basically try to replicate what
she made it's probably not going to be
as good but it's okay cuz it's going to
be tastier than just eating regular
chicken breasts or chicken tenderloins
but yeah it's a pretty gloomy day but
it's been so warm that even with this
Uniqlo trench coat I felt like I was
starting to overheat and it's just
because this coat specifically has a
vest built inside of it that makes it a
little bit more warm and adds a little
bit more weight to the coat you're
probably wondering well you have a
trench coat why are you looking at more
trench coats i've been really interested
in that Uniqlo C block trench coat
because it's thinner than this coat the
fabric of that trench coat is also more
water repellent than this coat and it
just looks sicker because the Uniqlo C
designer if I'm not mistaken is the same
person that designs for La Mer all right
so hopefully this doesn't take too long
i don't have to thin the chicken because
it's already very thin i just have to
cut it in cubes and I'm thinking this
buttery garlic herb will be good some
black pepper garlic powder and then
maybe even some red peppers but this is
just a quick meal we already have rice
and I've been pairing my chicken breast
meals with
lentils cuz it's a great way to get
fiber it's filling and it's healthy so
and I prefer like more creamier meals
like that's always my go-to is something
creamier soupy but that's what I'm going
to make for lunch very very late lunch
and then I'm going to try to finish up
that Xcode coding tutorial because I
have a weather app specifically centered
around running that I'm interested in
working on so I know the best way when
it comes to programming is to just start
building and it's good to watch
tutorials and since I haven't done any
iOS development in so long part of me
feels like I need to watch like a
14-part series when I don't think that's
necessary the best way is just through
trial and error and failing fast but I'm
also going to need to learn how to build
some 3D animations so I'm going to need
one of those 3D animator desktop
applications so I can also include them
into the mobile app if you guys have
been wondering why I've been so chatty
in this video it's one because this is
kind of a good way for us to catch up
it's easier to do it when I'm just
cooking two I've been making a lot of
tech consumer focused videos where I'm
not able to really catch you all up on
life and fitness and health and
nutrition such a big part of my
day-to-day that I figured why not
include more of it in this video i would
like to do more fitness videos so what I
was thinking about doing is creating a
video centered around the new Beats um
what are they called studio Pro you know
the headset that like hooks around your
ear the open ear versions of the Beat
Studios whatever they're called but
everyone's going crazy about that
headphone and it's mainly because of the
heart rate tracker but I haven't seen a
lot of actual athletes talking about
those earbuds and if the heart rate
tracking is consistent and reliable it's
just been a lot of tech people which is
like fine to talk about the technology
and they haven't released these in like
3 4 years but I want to know what an
athlete has to say i think I've seen one
blog post from I'm sure there's more but
from what I remember there was one
specifically a Runner Focus review about
the earbuds so maybe I could fill that
lane because I do tech videos but I also
am an athlete
