Champions League 24/25 - Round of 16 - ASTON VILLA 3-0 CLUB BRUGGE (6-1 AGG).

Rashford has made a move now, Martínez looks for him as well and Rashford might be on the end of the... Oh, he's pulled down! Referee with a big, big decision now. Which way is he gonna go? Rashford was surely in for a goal-scoring opportunity. Bruges might be down to ten here. Daniel Seibert is reaching for the pocket, it's a red card. Rashford got the wrong side of the Bruges defender. Take a touch and turn, Rashford ahead of him, Asensio to the edge of the penalty box, lays it off towards Morgan Rodgers, turns it back but behind his team-mates. McGinmay's good of it though, no room for a shot, and to the right for Bailly. Bailly with cash ahead of him, jumps it in, Asensio! Bailly with the provider, and Marco Asensio, as ever for Aston Villa with the finish. Early stages of the second half, blasted into the net beyond Mignolet. Tiedemanns looks over the top towards Rashford, brings it down neatly, Rodgers is with him as well. Morgan Rodgers, very narrow angle, right by the by-line, still Rodgers has it, turns it back, oh, no, it's gone in! Iain Martsen surely has sealed it up for Aston Villa. That place in the last eight looming large on the horizon now. Back towards Rashford again, he's peeled out towards that left-hand side, works at him, looking for Rodgers, Rodgers will get another go at it, here's Rashford now, he's got Asensio and Bailly arriving. Marcus Rashford for Asensio! Oh, all of a sudden, Villa Park has come to light and come to life. And Asensio just cannot stop scoring for Aston Villa. And that is it, the full-time whistle goes, and Aston Villa on the night, beaten Bruges by three goals to nil, 6-1 on aggregate, and Aston Villa, and I'll say this slowly, are into the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
