FROG FISHING WITH 100K ON THE LINE: Lake Okechobee Bassmaster Elite Series Day 1

all right day one bassm Elite series on Lake okobe small little local Lake down here in Florida just a tiny little sucker you know it's very very muddy this week it's uh I've been here it's my third time here there's the least amount of Clean Water this time as there's ever been in my opinion so you know I found a couple of places that are kind of off the beaten path and I may or may not have company in them and that's kind of a kiss of death in Florida a lot of times you get off the beaten path it's not good so when I get in there in some of those places I better catch a couple quick to make me want to stay because I'm not going to just be in the middle of somewhere by myself for too long and not catch them but if I can catch them it could be it could be good you know so had a sporadic few big bites in practice but uh no real way that I know to really Target and catch big ones I just think it's going to be kind of tough you know as far as catching those 3 lb plus fish so I'm used to that where I live at home 3 lb plus fish are biging and they hard to catch and then every once in a while I catch me a few of them so kind of kind of know how to grind you know but we're going to swim a jig untain tackle Apex going to swim it a lot we're going to flip a Untamed tackle breacher we're going to frog a little bit you know it's going to be going to be a good good day as far as fishing I've got a long day today I got I get I'll have time today to basically check every single one of my areas and then tomorrow when I have a shorter day I'll be able to kind of hone in on the more productive areas so really plan on checking a lot of what I found in practice today so we'll see how it goes it's going to be what it's going to be now all right guys this right here is the bait that I want to catch them on this Untamed tackle breacher 3/4 oun in black and blue with a crush City black and blue cleanup crawl you know I got some bites on in practice never caught any Giants on it but it's a fun way to fish whenever you're flipping that jig and you know that thick cover but it's not super thick this time so you don't need like an ounce and a half it's just a lot of reads and blown in mats so a 3/4 oun jig that's what I want to catch him on today right behind of the 2023 progress a fmas angler of the Year Stone Cold Cy welzer a a five time Bassmaster winner from Somerville South Carolina Pat boom baby [Music] for for B [Music] is [Music] for no great [Music] going to be up we oh be [Music] [Applause] [Applause] w water for God I can't freaking in got it now I thought it was a 4 and A2 I was going to swing it and I was like it's bigger four and A2 way in the mouth dude how many people don't walk by my GPS that ain't the one I missed either that'll work h good luck for pretty he Ain very big for that is forever [Music] [Music] 89 [Music] point B [Music] wor remember yesterday I flipped in that little Rec that little one told put back in there and pick up that second biggest one was right there that's crazy what I watched happen today [Music] [Music] you thank you budy all right Kyle give me a bag line update on day one a lot of the areas I was really thought I would catch multiple fish in I didn't catch anything good so I think I'm going to hone in tomorrow be able to fish where there's a bigger population of fish for more time I probably ran around a little too much today I I got misled in practice with a couple big bikes late on day three of practice but got lucky caught a big one so we got bailed out we got to go out there tomorrow and try to figure out something else 23 Progressive Bassmaster angler of the Year from Alabama Stone Cold Kyle welsher KY Welsh with five fish here todayy decent day at the office wind down our day one weigh 17 lb 6 o a decent day indeed and Kyle welsher moves into 12th Place currently Tak deep in that Crush City Way bag let here it for him [Music] 176 and uh you got to be happy with that yeah you know that really felt good today you know we got off to a good start this morning and after St John's being so terrible on me I was really looking forward to you know I started in a place where I just wanted to get some bites to kind of get the momentum rolling and we went straight from there and just caught him kind of everywhere we went so today was finally a fun day on the water well I like it when you're having fun we'll see you back here tomorrow a two-time Elite Series champion from
