Alright guys, assalamualaikum. I've made it back to my favorite country in the world, Malaysia.
It's been a while since I've been here and I've been craving a lot of Malaysian food. So I figured
my first day back, why not do a food video exploring all around. Going to try different
Malaysian spots, try some new spots and we have Ramadan coming up in a few days and I'm gonna
try to eat as much as possible before Ramadan starts. Let's go explore around, let's go try
some food. I'm so happy to be back here in Malaysia and I can't wait to do my first Ramadan here.
First thing we're gonna eat today is some Nasi Lemak. When you're here, you gotta have the
signature national dish for breakfast. So we're gonna try it over at Nasi Lemak Berung Hantu.
I got recommended it to me by some friends. I've never tried it. So let's go see what Nasi Lemak
Berung Hantu is about. Go try it out. So this is the restaurant, Nasi Lemak Berung Hantu. Here's
the inside and we are gonna show you what we're gonna order today. So here's all the different
pictures of Nasi Lemak. This is typically how it's like when you enter inside these Nasi Lemak
stores and then you go and point out what you want to fill up your plates. You got anchovies,
nuts, cucumbers, eggs. You got a fried egg and these are basically like the main ingredients
you can add to your Nasi Lemak. But we're gonna also get fried chicken because it makes it taste
so much better. Can I get the Nasi Lemak with fried chicken? We're gonna get this Nasi Lemak
Ayam Berumpah. So this is the first ingredient to the Nasi Lemak. We got the rice cooked with
coconut milk and then they put it on this bamboo leaf right over here. Yes. Next up we got the
fried chicken. Take a look at that. And then we got all of the toppings. Anchovies, nuts, cucumbers
and then some sambal. This is the spicy sauce that goes with it. And the egg. Look at that.
That looks amazing. Thank you. We got man the Nasi Lemak. It looks so good. So next up
you gotta order a drink. Hello bro. You have tea tarik? Can I get that iced?
Thank you. So the final price 20.1 ringgit. Thank you. I can't wait to eat this. This looks
amazing. So delicious. So we're sitting right out here. Just the sight and the smell of Malaysian
food makes me so happy. It's been so long since I've had this. I've been craving it. The rice,
the chicken, the sambal, everything all together in one plate. You can't order the Nasi Lemak though
without getting tea tarik. This is easily my favorite drink in all of Southeast Asia. I love
tea tarik so much. It's whole tea and anytime I see it I try to order it. My first day back here
in Malaysia this will probably be my one of many tea tariks. Let's give it a first try. Bismillah.
I miss the taste of this man. Tea tarik, so sweet. Tastes so delicious. So there's multiple ways you
can eat Nasi Lemak. You can eat it with your hands or you can eat it with a spoon. I'm gonna use a
spoon, but also eat with my hand. First bite you gotta get a little of everything. I get the nuts,
the anchovies, the sambal, all of it in just the first bite. Here we go. Bismillah.
Wow wow. I swear Nasi Lemak is one of the tastiest dishes. It's so good man. Just the
mixture of the anchovies, the nuts, the sambal, the rice with the coconut milk, all tastes so good.
Blends together perfectly. I miss this. After that first bite, I already knew today's about
to be a great day. We're gonna eat so much amazing cuisine. Now we gotta try it with the chicken.
I'm absolutely loving this. Whenever you get Nasi Lemak, you definitely gotta get it with chicken.
You can get it without, but it just tastes so much better with the chicken. It's like a
full complete meal. You take a bite of the Nasi Lemak and then a sip of the tea tarik
and it's like the perfect combo going back and forth. Alhamdulillah man, that was such an amazing
meal. And now we're gonna go walk around. We're gonna go try other food spots. We'll probably go
to Bukit Bintang. It's like the main central area where there's a lot of street food there as well.
So let's go see what else we can get into. We are back in Bukit Bintang. Look at this amazing city
right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur and there's a lot of food spots around here that I really like
eating. So we're gonna take you to some of them. Take a look at how amazing Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
is. This place is truly special. There's one place that I've really been craving every single time
I'm out here in Kuala Lumpur. I always go stop by it and we're gonna go walk down there. I'll show
it to you. So let's go check it out. So one thing that's really amazing about Malaysia is they have
a blend of so many different cultures. Over here you have a lot of Malay people, a lot of Indian
people, a lot of Chinese people and with that there's just a mix of amazing delicious cuisine.
And one of my favorite restaurants here nearby is this Chinese roti spot. Around two minutes walking
away from the middle of Bukit Bintang. So we're gonna go back there. I've been so many times. Every
time I'm here, I go check it out. This is the spot we are stopping at. Mon Chinese Beef Roti. Amazing
halal street food out here in Kuala Lumpur and you got the Palestinian flag right on top. Malaysia
they're always representing. So we're gonna get in line. No matter what time of the day you come
out here, there's always gonna be a line and it's just that good. You have to wait in line when
you're here. So it's gonna be like my like 10th time trying this place. Really recommend it.
We're gonna wait in line now. It's probably gonna take around like 30 minutes, but what's really
cool about this place is you can watch them make the food right in front of you. Just makes you
much more hungry to try it. So let's go try some Chinese beef roti. So these beef rotis are actually
very popular in China among Muslims in China. Right here they actually have a sign that says
1200 years of legacy. So whenever I was in China, I was eating these a lot and you don't need to
travel all the way to China to try them. You can come out here to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Give it a
try. So this is how they prepare it. First they put some butter, then they put some meat or chicken
and then next up they put onions, some spices and then roll it up and you got the amazing Chinese
roti. So this is the chicken one right over here. Over there they are making the beef one. So the
first one we saw being made over there was the chicken and then this one is the beef. You can
either order the beef or chicken, but the beef one is more popular and we got our brother cooking up
right here. These are the real legends in the making. They know how to make it so well man. So
the chicken one is around 5.5 ringgit. The beef one is 6.5 ringgit. 5.5 ringgit is like $1.25.
The beef roti $1.50. Very great price for how good these beef rotis are. Can I get one beef roti?
Which one you like more beef or chicken? I'll get the beef. Thank you. We got the beef roti. My day
is made. We waited 30 minutes for this. It's so warm, so fresh. I can't wait to bite into this,
but we gotta wait a few minutes because it's too too hot. Mon Chinese Beef Roti right here with the
Palestine flag. What a place in KL. We gotta wait a few minutes to eat it though because it is so
hot man. We've already waited like five minutes, but that's the con of this. It looks so good,
smells amazing, but you have to wait because if you eat it right away your whole mouth is going
to get burned. So let's wait like five more minutes and then we'll give it a try. I honestly
can't wait any longer to try this. So let's give it a try. The Chinese Beef Roti, Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia. Bismillah. Listen to that crunch. These are so delicious man. You can tell just how happy
I got biting into this. So flavorful. I don't know what spices they put in it, but it gives it like a
really really amazing taste. I love these. Eating one of these is like the same feeling as reuniting
with a loved one. I swear it's that good. It's so good. The outside of it is just so perfect,
so crunchy, and the inside is soft with the amazing meats. Oh it's so great bro. I honestly don't know
how they make these taste so good. Every single time I try them I'm just shocked. I'm like how
is it this amazing? It's worth the wait. It is so so worth the wait. One of the best street snacks
you'll ever find in the world. This is another one of those things if you come to Kuala Lumpur
and don't try the Chinese Beef Roti here, I really think you missed out on the whole trip. I tell all
my friends before coming here, you gotta try Tea Tartic, you gotta try Beef Roti. It is a must. So
so good. I'm actually sad that that was my last bite. We're gonna have to come back after breaking
our fast during Ramadan, one of these nights, getting one more of these. I think it's open
till like midnight, so we'll come back. We got more food to try for now. Let's go walk around,
explore some more, show you what else KL has to offer. Here we go. We gotta get another drink to
wash down that Beef Roti. I'm gonna walk around here, try to see if we can see some KL special
drinks, maybe another Tea Tartic. Let's see what's around. So we found this place here selling some
mango juice. Looks like they got some other juices here. Got watermelon. I think this is lemon tea.
Hello. How you doing, bro? Which one your favorite juice? Mango juice? Five. Five ringgit. I'll get one.
What's the name of this juice right here? Lemon. Just lemon. Mango juice, five ringgit. Streets of KL,
Bukit Bintang. Thank you, bro. What's your name? Patlan. Nice to meet you. What is this that you're
making? Mango juice. Oh, this is how you make it. Nice. So you're the one behind the scenes making
the amazing juice. Yeah. What's your name, bro? Fitri. My name Waleed. Nice to meet you. Take
care. Have a good day. You didn't come to Malaysia without trying some sort of juice. Whenever you
see juices out here, order them. Don't even ask questions. They're always so good. So we had to
get the mango juice. Gotta wash down the beef roti. Let's try out this mango juice here.
Mango juice while crossing the streets of Bukit Bintang. What a vibe.
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I love this area right here in KL. You got all of the malls,
people just walking around, streets are busy. So many different food places to try.
So we had the nasi lemak, we had the beef roti, and now we're gonna try something new for the
first time. We're gonna try shawarma. Apparently, shawarma is the most popular thing people eat
in Bukit Bintang. And there's one spot in particular called Damascus, which has been
super hyped up. All the locals keep telling me to try it. Typically, I wouldn't try shawarma out
here because I'm Arab. I'm Palestinian. I would try it usually in the Middle East. But they say
it's really good at this spot. So we're gonna go there, give it a try, let you know how I think
about shawarma in Malaysia. This is the spot right here, Damascus. So you can see there's also
a line out the door here. This and the beef roti place is typically the two spots you see
the most amount of people waiting. We're gonna try it. We'll see. So you can order takeaway right
over here. All these people are waiting for the takeaway or you can get a table inside. I'm gonna
show you the inside but we'll probably just order some takeaway. This is the inside of the Damascus
restaurant. It actually has multiple floors. It's a beautiful vibe. I heard if you usually wait in
line, try to get in this place. It takes a few hours but we're just gonna get it to go. Wow, these
are like the biggest pieces of meat I've ever seen. Look how big the beef one is, the chicken one.
Gave me a piece of the beef shawarma to try before we order it. Let's give it a try.
That's actually some really delicious meat. That's some good shawarma.
That's actually some really tasty shawarma. I think we're gonna order one of these right
over here. How are you doing? Hi. How much just the chicken shawarma to go? Yes.
Regular. One only? Yeah, I'll get one regular. Okay, one chicken regular. 15 ringgit takeaway.
Which one better? Spicy or no spicy? Spicy. You like spicy? Yes. Okay, I'll try one. 15 ringgit 80 cents.
This place is very popular here. Yeah, very famous. How many years has it been here? 13 years.
13 years? Everyone tells me you need to try it. Yes. You've been working here how many years?
Two years. Two years? Not 13 years? No. What is your favorite thing you usually get? Shawarma, rice,
You're Malaysian? I'm Malaysian. When Malaysians are craving Arab food, this is where they come?
Yes. Number one spot in the country? Wow. Every day, every night. Every day it's packed with Malaysians.
So we ordered the chicken shawarma takeaway. He said it takes around 15 to 20 minutes. So the
restaurant is actually multiple floors. It looks like it extends all the way up there. It's like
five floors. But Syrian style shawarma, this is the spot to go whenever you're in Bukit Bintang.
I typically wouldn't be eating shawarma for a YouTube video, but it's that popular.
We had to give it a try. Look how big the chicken is compared next to him.
Oh, the chicken one looks very tasty. How many of these do you go through a day?
Sometimes two, sometimes one. Sometimes two of these a day? Wow. How many shawarmas is that?
4,000 you say? Yeah, maybe. Maybe more, I don't know. And you can just tell with the amount of
people that are waiting that this is a really popular spot. All right, we got the goods.
Damascus chicken shawarma wrap. We're going to give it a try somewhere around here. Where are
you from? Malaysia? Brunei. Brunei. I like Brunei. You went to Brunei before? I've been to Brunei,
yeah, yeah. When? Last year. Last year? Yeah, yeah. How was it? It was good. Good. You're
just here on vacation? Yeah. Yeah, I just came this afternoon. How do you like... Is it your
first time in Malaysia? No, no. My wife is. Oh. Which one you like better? Brunei food or
Malaysian food? Of course Malaysian food. Malaysian food, ah? You heard it here.
How is the shawarma? It's good, it's good. We're going to try the shawarma. Let's give it a try.
The spicy chicken shawarma wrap. Yo, I'm going to be completely honest. I was not expecting Malaysia
to have shawarmas this good. I'm actually kind of shocked. I rarely ever try good shawarmas outside
the Middle East. In Europe, the shawarmas aren't good. Everywhere else, the shawarmas aren't good.
But this is surprisingly good. So it's run by a lot of Syrians, been here 13 years. I see the hype
why there's so many people waiting in line. Only one bite and it tasted really good. We'll give it
another bite. That is good, the spicy chicken. I like this a lot. I've been to Kuala Lumpur quite
a few times, but I've never tried it. It's pretty delicious, good price, big portion. So for like
$4, you get this whole shawarma. Whoa. I've been to the Middle East many times, but this is
definitely up there as one of the best shawarmas you can try outside of the Middle East. So Kuala
Lumpur got everything, man. But this isn't going to be the last thing we eat today. We're going to
try some more stuff. I know we've already tried a lot, but Ramadan's in a few days. So might as
well just try everything, keep going. I'm going to be super full, but it's going to be worth it.
I'm genuinely super surprised that the shawarma was that good. We got more stuff we're going to
try. Let's go try to find the Ramly Burger. We're going to walk all the way down the street.
Let's tell them hello. What's your name? Yazan. Yazan, assalamu alaikum. There's actually so many
Arabs in Kuala Lumpur all with their shawarma stands. For the Ramly Burger, I got recommended
this place, Burger Boss, like 10 minutes away from Damascus, Bukit Bintang. So let's go try
the Ramly Burger. We're going to try Ramly Burger for the first time today. Shawarma in Malaysia for
the first time today. Maybe later we'll try some more stuff. Oh my, meat tarik. This is another one
of those things I really love eating when I'm in Malaysia. It's basically halal Chinese pulled
noodles. They are very delicious. We will be trying that maybe for iftar some of the days.
That's another thing you can't miss when you're here. But we're not going to eat that right now
because we got some more stuff to try. We got to find the Ramly Burger. We got to go try to find
some street snacks. Let's go see what else. These are my two favorite flags right next to each other.
The Malaysia flag, Palestine flag. I honestly love this country so much. They show so much support,
appreciation towards Palestine. Every time I'm here, I'm just so happy. Definitely gonna have
to make Malaysia my home in the future after I'm done traveling the world. But this is really a
great country man. So this is the spot we're gonna try the Ramly Burger. Burger Boss since 2018.
You got the halal sign right here. And it's a very popular burger on the streets of KL. I've never
tried one while I've been here in all of my Malaysia trips. And everyone's telling me I gotta
try it. The Ramly Burger usually comes in this package. There's two different types. You got the
chicken burger. You got the beef burger. And I'm gonna ask them which is their favorite one and
we'll order that one. Which one is better? The chicken or beef? More popular. You like the beef?
All right we'll try it. Beef Ramly. Special double beef cheese. Special double beef cheese.
I'm excited to try this. They say it's a good burger.
Which one?
I come again. If I eat right now, I come again tomorrow.
How many Ramly Burger you eat every day? Two. Two every day? Every day two. Every day two.
Okay two every day. We're only gonna get one today but he's hyping it up. Okay step one of the Ramly
Burger. You slap the patty on the grill. The beef Ramly. What do you put inside? Beef. Yeah beef
and egg and cheese. Beef, egg and cheese. This is the bun they actually use to make the Ramly Burgers.
Roti Ehsan. Step two. Season the patty. They cut up the patty that way to get all of the spices
inside of it. I'm Palestinian. Palestine. Palestine. Yeah I like. I see the flag. Thank you bro. Much love.
Your bus. Which one the bus? No come. Oh he's not here today.
They have the Quran on while they're cooking the burger. Giving it the blessings.
MashaAllah. So beautiful man. Slam here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. What time you close?
3 a.m. 3 a.m. 3 a.m? Yes. In Ramadan you're open? I don't know. I come after after Tarawih.
4 o'clock. In Ramadan you close 5.30?
3. Ramadan you close at 3. After Tarawih I come get a burger. All right.
What is this?
Black pepper. So you put the patty into the black pepper? Yeah.
Okay okay. Now we're toasting up the bun. So we got the patties covered in black pepper gravy.
I'm toasting up the bun and then they're gonna put the cheese on top of it. This is what you
call a Ramly Burger out here in Malaysia. And now we got the egg. Okay so this is some type of sauce
on top of the egg. What is this? Cheese sauce. The egg, cheese sauce, patty and then the piece
of cheese on top. Wow. This is what you call a heart attack right here. Wow. So they wrap the
patties with the egg and now we got some more sauces on it. Cucumber, some chili sauce. This is
the final product. The Ramly Burger with the official Ramly wrapping. Thank you my bro.
No for here. I eat here. It's time to try my first Ramly Burger. I can't believe I've never
tried one of these. The final product looks out of this world. Let's give it a try.
Oh that is a very interesting burger. There is so much going on in one bite. You got the cheese,
the egg, the cucumbers, all the different sauces. It's one of the messiest burgers you'll ever eat.
But first bite was pretty delicious. I can't believe they put all of this in a burger.
It's super messy but surprisingly comes together pretty well. I've never had a burger like this
before. It's definitely an interesting try when you're here and it's pretty delicious.
We've ate so much food today. Maybe another day I could come by, eat two of these. The beef one
was solid. Next time I'm really hungry, I'm walking around KL, I'm gonna try to find some
more Ramly Burgers. And we gotta try the chicken one up next. Let me know which one's better,
the chicken or the beef. No way we can try both today, but we'll try the others. Thank you bro,
good night. Yeah thank you. See you. I come back okay? Okay tomorrow, tonight, tonight 10 o'clock.
Tonight, tomorrow, day after, every day. Okay thank you, thank you. What is this?
Muslim Mongolia. Mongolia, city Mongolia. You from Mongolia? Yeah. You're no Malaysian? I'm Malaysian.
I have duck. Oh okay. Oh you have duck too? This Thailand city, Mongolian city. They have
Thailand and Mongolia. Yeah, two cities. That's pretty cool. After today, we're not eating till
the end of Ramadan. We've ate so much food. Alhamdulillah. But we got one more place to show
y'all. It's my favorite night market out here in KL and it's around a 35-minute walk from here. So
let's go head over there. Go show you Tapek Urban Street Dining. Show you the views along the way
as well. We got a lot more shawarma places here. We got Kanafeh, Habibi Juice. You see so many
different shawarma shops out here in Bukit Bintang. Papa Kanafeh wearing the kufiah. Look at that bro.
It's our first glance of the Petronas Twin Towers. I haven't seen it yet on my trip. So it's always
nice to see the Petronas Towers. Seeing the Petronas Towers, being here in Bukit Bintang,
that's how you know you're truly in Malaysia. So on the way to the night market, we came across
Nasi Kandar Palita and this is a very popular place in Malaysia to get a local dish called
Nasi Kandar. They also got our drinks here, a lot of other local Malaysian dishes. We're gonna stop
by real quick, show it to you. This is also one of those places when you come to Malaysia, you gotta
come here, stop by, just see the vibes. You don't even need to order anything, but I recommend
ordering because the food is good everywhere in Malaysia. This is how it's like. It is a huge
restaurant and there's so many different things you can order. I believe it's also like 24 hours
or closes very late. I forgot which one of the two it is, but super popular all times of the day.
Right when you walk in, you got soup over here. You got Ayam Gering, Nasi Kandar, so many different
drinks. Hello, how are you doing? Assalamualaikum. What time this place close? No close, 24 hours.
This is inside the Nasi Kandar. We're gonna go to the drink section right over here. What is this?
Very good? So my man right here is gonna take us and show you how
the teh tarik is made. Assalamualaikum. You make the teh tarik here?
So he's gonna show you how the teh tarik is made. So teh tarik means pulled tea
and you're gonna see why it's called pulled tea right here. It's the famous teh tarik of Malaysia.
So whenever they pour it like this, it forms a layer of bubbles on the top and it gives it a
really good distinct taste. Thank you. The final product teh tarik, Nasi Kandar Palita. Let's try it.
Every time I try this drink, I just fall in love with it again. So delicious. I'm really looking
forward to having teh tarik after I break my fast. That's gonna be like one of the best feelings. So
shout out Nasi Kandar Palita. 24 hours, you can come get any food you want. Nasi Kandar, Roti Canai,
teh tarik. This place is amazing. Amazing vibes here. So we're gonna go walk to the night market
now. It's not too far away from here. Definitely come check out the Nasi Kandar and Nasi Lemak
spots when you're out here in KL. I love seeing the Petronas Towers. Every single time I see it,
I'm still impressed. So it's so cool that the Tapak Urban Street Night Market is only like a
nine-minute walk away from here. So a lot of people don't know about it, but you just walk down
straight and you'll be there. We made it to the night market, Tapak Urban Street Dining. This is
one of my favorite places to go eat, especially late night. It's open pretty late, has really
good food and we're gonna go see what they got today. Maybe it's new, I haven't been here in
like a year. So inside of this night market, they got a bunch of different food trucks.
My favorite place to eat here is this satay place. It is called 8 Kom Jom Satay at Tapak. These satay
are so good. So if you don't know what satay is, it's basically meat on a skewer. This is them
right here on the grill. So we got the Daging and the Ayam. How much is one?
You have lamb too? Chicken, beef, lamb?
Which one your favorite? Lamb. They got chicken here, they got beef and they got lamb. I haven't
tried the lamb satay. I always get the chicken or beef, but we're gonna try the lamb one out here.
We got the satay. We'll probably order one more thing. I've ate too much today. I don't know if
I can eat more after this. So let's get satay, maybe a drink. We'll go see what drinks they got.
I just love the food in Malaysia. I could eat all day long, every day, whenever I'm out here.
Honestly, everything is so good. You go to the night market, it's good. You go to Nasi Kandar,
it's good. Every single thing here is so delicious in this country. We got some Mi Goreng here. It's
like fried noodles. Also something I usually eat a lot when I'm out here. Mi Goreng, Char Kway Teow,
Nasi Goreng. Those are typical dishes I usually eat every day in Malaysia. So there's so much
different food you can try here. This place is honestly blessed with food. Malaysia is such a
great food country. This is one of the popular places to come try some drinks here. Any types
You come over here, they got all of these different fruit juices. Orange, peach, aloha. So many different
chocolate drinks. Eat anything you want they got in Malaysia. I'm gonna ask him what their best
seller is. We're gonna order that. How you doing bro? What's your best drink? Best seller? They
said this is the best seller. Aloha. You got soda, orange, peppermint, lemon, lemongrass. That's the
number one? Yeah number one. Is that your favorite? Yeah. Aloha. Yeah one. Thank you. That looks amazing.
Aloha. Thank you. We got the sauté and we got the peanut sauce. So this is a must when you have
sauté in Malaysia. So we got two lamb, one beef, two chicken. The last thing we're gonna eat today
to end the food tour. First you grab one of the sautés. Then you dip it in the peanut sauce.
Perfection. The sauté tastes pretty delicious without the peanut sauce,
but when you dip it and try it with the peanut sauce, it's on a whole other level.
Amazing. The chicken sauté. All of these foods that I've been eating today, I miss them so much.
After like 10 months of not being in Malaysia, it feels amazing just to be able to eat these again.
And I'm so excited to be here for Ramadan. So don't forget to like, comment, subscribe. We have a lot
of Ramadan videos coming. Let me know where I should go to in Ramadan. Which mosques? Which
bazaars? But if you're coming to KL, make sure to try all of these food spots that I put in this
video. So I'll see y'all in the next video. Good night from Malaysia.
