Chicago Cubs Fans Vote For World Series and Tacos in 2016 “Election Cycle” | Fans around Wrigley Fields cast their votes for the Cubs as the team seeks to win its first World Series since 1908.
We're here at Wrigley Field.
What do people think is more important?
The election or the World Series?
World Series, baby!
What do you think is most important?
The presidential election or the World Series?
Oh, the World Series!
It's been 108 years!
Come on, they're doomed!
I think the World Series.
The presidential election starts this year.
Tonight, the World Series, okay?
And then Trump tomorrow, the election tomorrow.
We love you, Hillary, but it's about the Cubs right now.
World Series. There's more joy.
World Series.
Definitely the World Series, man.
World Series, baby, all day!
It's all about the Cubs today.
Right.
There's a lot to celebrate tonight, right?
Halloween, Cubs, and the presidential election.
What do you think is the most important of those three?
World Series.
This is happy, this is exciting.
Yeah, the election's just pressing right now.
I wish it was the other way around,
that we could have people play baseball
to see who's the president,
and then we could just elect the winner.
Both candidates are bad.
I mean, like, America's in trouble.
It's the only thing we've got left.
We've got to win this.
Not one person so far has said
they care more about the election than the Cubs.
What's more important, the World Series or the election?
The World Series.
The World Series of Electrolytes.
That, obviously.
Presidential election or the World Series?
World Series, 100%.
I'd say the presidential election, quite honestly.
Really? The first time this entire crowd has said it.
I'm excited for the Cubs,
but the election's definitely important.
As you can see, big stadiums behind me,
but because the wall of this old Wrigley Field is so low,
people have built bleachers on the rooftops of their apartments.
This might just be the coolest view of the stadium
right across the street from Wrigley.
The action is intense here.
We're on the rooftop decks
where people are still paying $1,000 to see the game.
We came here to win this ball game!
Bill Murray, big-time Cubs fan,
was just in the White House talking about
how important this World Series is.
You know, I don't usually like Cubs fans in here,
especially if they're wearing Cubs stuff.
No way.
So why the goat?
Well, she's the world's luckiest goat.
This one don't stink.
That's right, the curse. Tell us about the curse.
Well, they wouldn't let the man in with his goat.
That's what he said.
Them Cubs ain't gonna win no more.
I brought them luck.
They're at the World Series.
All they gotta do is let her in.
They can win.
ABC News' interactive map shows this state is thoroughly blue,
but the blue that matters around Wrigley Field?
Cubs blue. That's all they care about.
Everyone get out and vote.
No, vote Taco! Vote Taco, man! Vote Taco!
Go Taco! Go Taco!
Taco dance!
Go Taco! Go Taco!
Pretty great fans here.
Are you a cyclist?
I'm a cyclist.
I don't believe it.
Yep.
I don't believe it.
Show me.
Show me you're a cyclist.
Grab this and do something with it.
All right!
We're riding away before it gets too crazy.
Woo!
Support Taco!
Woo!
