I hope you've been grinding and working your way towards your 2019 goals! I'll be sharing my fitness journey with you guys in this video--how I got started, how long I've been weightlifting, how I fell in love with the process, and more. I'll also be answering a few questions you guys had for me during the second half of the video (13:05). A few of these being: if I counted macros/calories when I started, how I stay motivated, and working out while on your period. As always, always keeping it real with you guys--so be ready for some tough love.
My voice gets super hoarse throughout this video bc I'm talking so much, so sorry in advance!

hey guys today i'm going to be sharing
with you guys my fitness journey how
went from
this
to this
from this
to this all right
every detail i'm going to share with you
guys and then at the end i also asked
you guys um i did like a ask me anything
on my instagram and i'll also be
answering some of your questions at the
very end so stick around for that too
and if you want to know about my fitness
last transformation story then just keep
on watching
all right
so we're going to start at the very
bottom
with my uh
kind of sad childhood
yeah
um i
was never athletic growing up i
hated a gym class
dreaded it every single day of school
and i did not play sports the only thing
i played in school was the violin okay
at least i was kind of good at it i was
first chair um but see that's how much i
practiced
and did not have friends that i was
first chair okay i would literally
um
come home from school school practice
for six hours and then eat and go to
sleep
um and i'm pretty sure i did my homework
on the bus or at school so that i could
come home and just practice practice
practice
but yeah and
so yeah i had i had no friends i loved
to read books
and um i did really well in school um i
was a super nerd and i was an orcher
dork to my core
and um
but yeah just very nerdy little tiny
asian girl and then once i hit fourth
grade i got glasses so uh
my parents really set me up to be
bullied
moral of the story
anyway and so and i was always very
skinny too i was just a tiny little
asian girl i was your skinny friend and
you could eat whatever she wanted but
never gain weight and trust me
i tried okay i try to gain weight
i would before school for breakfast i
would eat two otis spunkmeyer triple
chocolate muffins okay
those things were huge as big as my face
but so delicious
so good
stuff for breakfast probably some pizza
rolls on the side too because pizza rose
and then i would go to school
for lunch i along with my lunch i would
eat two packs of those swiss rolls whole
whole things in the chocolate with the
white swirl inside
love those things
i still love those things come home eat
some more ho ho's eat some more pizza
rolls and any other junk food i could
get my hands on
i would okay
my pim
my parents uh my dad is a pastor and so
my parents were always getting these
sheet cakes like half sheet cakes
from people at church who liked to make
cake or bought them for them i don't
know
and but no one else like they were like
sponge cakes and no one else and my
family liked to eat them so guess who
ate them i did because i love them okay
i love them if it's cake i will eat it
and so every week my parents would
literally bring home at least one half
sheet of cake and i would eat all of it
okay
no one else talks to everyone else hated
the sponge cake but i love it and so i
would eat at least one half sheet cake a
week as well on top of everything else i
was eating so trust me i was eating you
know in my head i thought that eating
junk food
would help me to gain weight
but i did not and i didn't hit 100
pounds until i was
in high school yeah so just a very tiny
person growing up i was always called
skinny bones i always told i need to eat
more to eat a burger to stop starving
myself that i was anorexic all this
stuff and none of it was true you know
and i was eating as much as i possibly
could you know and but just i just
couldn't gain the weight yeah so fast
forward changing i started dating and
he loved going to the gym and um i
did not okay i didn't see the purpose of
going to the gym in my head going to the
gym for girls was to lose weight for
guys it was to build muscle and i had no
intention or desire to lose weight
because i was already skinny enough as
it was you know if anything i wanted to
gain weight and so i was not interested
in going to the gym with him but then um
eventually you know i was like okay you
spend all your time and all of your
money here
let me see what this this is about and
so he got me a membership and he paid
for it he still pays for it
that's how you know he's a keeper when
he pays for your gym membership get you
a man who pays for your gym membership
anyway
um
and so i started going to the gym with
him
kind of he would do his own thing while
i was
walking on the treadmill the treadmill
was the only piece of equipment i knew
how to use in the whole entire gym and
so because that's the only thing i knew
then i refused to try anything else and
step outside of my comfort zone and only
go on the treadmill um
but yeah and so but eventually you know
of course i got bored of it and i was
that gym membership gym member who would
go 12 times a month to get your
reimbursement and then you would never
see me outside of those 12 times that
was me okay
when i look back at my old stuff it
makes me want to cry a little bit
anyway uh but eventually i started
getting bored of the treadmill and i
started following changing around with
his workouts and he uh was into
weightlifting and bodybuilding at the
time and
and so
i would do his exact workouts you know
set for set rep for rep i would do
literally what he was doing i had no
idea what i was doing and what muscles i
was working but i figured it was better
than being bored in the treadmill and so
and so i kept following him around and
then one day i realized
holy crap i'm getting stronger
and
last week or last month i could only do
this much weight but now i can do like a
double that much
and i realized i was getting stronger
and then
naturally being a competitive and
aggressive person i was like
let me try to beat that next week you
know and let me try to do better i bet i
could do better you know i bet i could
do more and and so it became me
challenging myself and i realized that
my physical limits were set by my
emotional and mental limits and so the
more
i could push myself mentally and
emotionally the more i could push myself
physically if i didn't think that i
could do it
then i wouldn't be able to do it even if
technically i physically could do it you
know but if i believe i could do it then
i could do it um and so
it just opened this whole new world of
as cheesy as the sounds possibilities
the challenge my initial with away my my
initial mindset of going to the gym is
just to lose weight for girls and i
didn't know any girls who were
bodybuilders no one that i knew none of
my family um
was into fitness you know all of us were
nerds okay my parents just set us up to
be bullied as children
thanks mom and dad
anyway
but yeah so anyway
then i
when i realized that there was this new
when i discovered the world of fitness
or started stepping into it and when i
started to fall in love with it and when
i started to want to go for my own
reasons not just to follow changing
around and that's when i started to do
my own research and i started to follow
fitness accounts i
you know started um
looking workouts up on youtube you know
and i
was just so thirsty to learn and so i
did all the research and learned all the
information that i possibly could and i
wanted the more that i learned the more
that i grew the more i challenged myself
and the more i really pushed my limits
but yeah so and then after you know a
while doing that then i got a better
grasp of what i like to do and what i
didn't like to do you know and so i
started to structure my own workouts do
my own workouts i had a good feel for
what these should look like so i started
doing my own stuff you know so i just
started creating my own workouts doing
my own thing and taking everything that
chain chain taught me and making it my
own you know and not just following him
around the gym anymore
but
but yeah and so
um
so in a sense like changing was almost
like a personal trainer because
everything that i know now he has taught
me uh almost the stuff and so but once i
started to get my own goals and realize
that there's more to the gym
or when i started when i realized that
girls and weight lifts too and i started
following girls who were weightlifting
then i started to um
focus more on aesthetics and like
building the booty and building uh
building your lives and you know and
getting delts as big as your head and
stuff like that and so but for him he
had different goals and so i took
everything that he had taught me made it
my own and apply it to my own goals and
just kind of branched off from there
but yeah so january of 26
2017 is when i
like fully committed to going to the gym
because before i just kind of
went whenever i wanted and i wasn't
serious about it but january 2017 that
was my new year's resolution was to let
me really actually commit to this and do
this and and so i did and ever since
then i've stuck to it you know been
consistent with the gym but it consisted
with my nutrition you know um and just
um i'm really making it a lifestyle you
know
but yeah so it was it took it was a long
process for me to fall in love with the
general took me a good
two years to
understand to
define what fitness meant to me and what
going to the gym meant to me and to find
my own flow with going to the gym you
know
but yeah so that's basically my fitness
journey and ever since then i've still
been learning
every single day still been growing
still been challenging myself in all
aspects i've still been you know trying
new things still experimenting learning
new techniques refining my form it's
like and that's what i love about
fitness is that the growth never stops
and for initially if you you would ask
you know
me when i first got my membership about
it that would have been really
intimidating because like you know like
for me like it was just like there was
always an end and you get a prize at the
end like first place okay like i got
first place in my second grade spelling
bee
and
um but yeah so for me you know initially
that was intimidating to know
to know that there wasn't really an end
and
you know for fitness
and um but as i learned about it more
then the more i understood it and the
more
um exciting that was you know because
there's not an end that means
your potential is limitless you know and
but yeah and so for me fitness was
really like gaining confidence not
because i look good but because i
was
trying new things because i was
challenging myself in new ways and
succeeding when i challenged and nothing
and then learning to learn a lot of
humility that even um when i failed it
was like
learning that failure was a good thing
because every time i failed and i
learned and when i learned then i grew
and so gaining confidence in that aspect
you know and
getting gained a better grasp for what
my strengths were what my weaknesses
were and
even though i had weaknesses what can i
do to help strengthen those non
weaknesses are not a bad thing failure
is not a bad thing so my confidence rose
because i started to believe in myself
more started to try new things
vendors are just positively affecting my
life and all aspects you know and
unconsciously i was taking what i was
learning from the gym and then applying
that to
like to school to work i was
you know um trying to do things you know
outside of you know outside of the gym
and
stuff that i've never do before and for
me i'm a person to have it i am i like
schedules i like lists you know and i'm
an introvert i don't like to try new
things i don't like to talk to people i
don't like to step outside my comfort
zone but so for me
the gym was
my opportunity to learn how to do all
those things and to challenge myself to
be better than the person that i was um
but but yeah i'm just gonna stop there
because i feel like i'm just a ranting
now and um
i always have so much to say about it
but i'll just stop there and then let's
get into the q a the first question i
have is did you or do you count macros
and do you think they are a must to lose
body fat slash
muscle
so initially
when
i first got my gym membership i did not
count macros to attract calories at all
but again i wasn't serious about it but
once i decided to really commit to the
gym and i had like a physical goal to
read like a physical fitness goal like i
wanted to build a booty and i wanted to
gain muscle mass then i started counting
my macros okay
and i don't think that they're
absolutely necessarily essential to
building muscle or losing fat but i
definitely 100 think that if you
have a specific fitness goal in mind
that you want to reach especially if
it's within a certain amount of time
then you should definitely cut macros
and calories okay so no i don't think
it's absolutely necessary to track
calories and macros to reach any fitness
goal but at 100 do you think that you if
you have a specific fitness goal
that you want to reach then you should
track calories and macros just because i
think it's efficient okay it tells you
this is where you're at this is where
you want to be this is how to get from
point a to point b because a lot of
times if you're just guesstimating
especially if you've never counted the
macros and calories before then you just
kind of go like this
and then you get to the end okay um so
just to be efficient i would say yes
all right so what resources did you use
to create your workout routine
so i
um i learned from changing first um
everything that i do now i learned i
learned a lot from him and then like
what i was saying earlier as i learned
as my goals started to
as i started to create my own goals for
myself then i started to look stuff up
online and just follow literally follow
people's workouts online like the
workouts that i have for you guys on my
instagram and youtube and facebook
i would follow once just like that
um but yeah
how long did it take to get to where you
are now so i started january 2017 and
january 2019 so about two years how did
you educate yourself about the gym or
with what machine techniques did you
start with as i was saying earlier i
feel like i'm just repeating myself a
lot so i apologize if it feels like that
but changing taught me a lot of what i
know but i also taught myself a lot of
stuff just by doing your research and
using my resources okay you have so many
so many free resources out there so many
people who are willing to help you
um
and it's up to you though whether you
use those resources or not okay the more
you use the resources that are available
to you the more you will learn okay
people who want to learn won't wait for
people to feed them okay they will go
out buying food themselves okay so if
you really want to learn
go out and do the research okay don't
just wait for people to tell you
what you need to know go out there and
find it yourself okay
how long did it take for you to figure
out which workouts work specifically for
your body i would say um probably a good
year it takes a lot of time because when
you're just starting you're just very
kind of clumsy with everything and
nothing feels right i feel like it takes
a good year or so to finally
get it down to get a good grasp of going
to the gym and using machines and stuff
so i'd say a good year
did you have problems with being
intimidated by a very trained men and
women in the gym
i would say initially yes it was
intimidating just to be at the gym in
general um it was intimidating but i
think once i realized that um
fitness we all start as beginners we all
started ground zero and the only way
yeah and we all started
at ground zero and no one starts no one
comes out of the room knowing how to
deadlift double their weight okay and so
we all start
at the very bottom and so i think for me
coming to that realization and
understanding that was very helpful for
me to not be intimidated and then you
know you just get the mindset of
everything you know i'm just gonna do me
at the gym so
and i also have a video and
seven tips to uh gaining confidence at
the gym
you should check that out
so the question is how are you so
motivated to go to the gym so much and
so i know you've heard this before but
it's not about how motivated you are
it's about how disciplined you are okay
um and
i think a lot of times people just get
caught up in their feelings like oh i
don't want to go i don't feel like going
to the gym i feel tired i feel this i
feel bad i just feel like staying at
home and all this stuff but it's just
like if you want something
you got to make a plan for success you
have to sacrifice for what you want or
what you want becomes a sacrifice you
have to sacrifice
time energy
to go into the gym otherwise your
fitness goal
you're losing weight goal you're gaining
weight goal you're gaining a booty goal
is going to be what your sacrifice and
if you don't take the time and the
energy and the money to invest in your
fitness goal then your fitness goal
is what you sacrifice okay you can't
you can't have everything okay something
has always got to get okay and if you
have to be willing to sacrifice
something
to gain something else you have to work
hard for it and it's something that is
earned
you're not given
and you just got to be willing to work
hard for it you have to remember that
every time you step foot into the gym
every workout you do every workout you
finish every rep you do that's taking
you one step closer to your goal okay
and
it's just
it's a long tedious process it can be
but every time you get your butt into
the gym and every time you do your
workout you're one step closer to your
goal
so you're gonna sit at home
and stay where you are
and not take yourself one step closer to
your goal or you're gonna get your butt
into the gym and get yourself one step
closer to your goal and that's up to you
sacrifice to what you want or what you
want becomes a sacrifice okay
and every time you choose to stay at
home because you're tired or read this
or that that's you saying
i'm not i choose
my current situation over what i want
long term i don't want what i want long
term enough for me to sacrifice how i
feel right now but if you're willing but
if you really want your fitness goal
you're gonna it's you're gonna say hey
i'm tired af right now i just work 10
hours a day i just babysat my nieces and
nephews or my kids or
whoever's kids for six hours
but i want
my fitness goals so much that i will
drive
to the gym and get you know a good 45 60
minute workout in because i'm willing to
do whatever it takes to get there
how long did it take to started seeing a
difference um for me i would say it took
a good six months to see small changes
but it wasn't until a good year that i
saw like significant changes and i think
it's that's generally true for most
people but don't compare yourself to
other people don't compare yourself to
me or to anything you see on social
media okay your journey is your very own
some people will see results right away
i was not a person who did i took me a
long time and i feel like with gaining
muscle especially if you're starting at
like a very small
with like a very you're not starting
with much like i didn't start with much
um like i was just a very tiny person i
had to build muscle i feel like when
you're building muscle it is
often a longer process than losing
weight
but
yes
how did you get your booty to grow asian
genetics are totally killing me all
right
i'm sorry
but i just gotta say this question kills
me okay whenever people say this like oh
i have an asian booty i have bad jeans i
have a pancake but
because of my genetics
i will never have a butt
girl let me tell
let me tell you okay
if you're willing to work hard for it
nothing not even your genetics
can stop you okay
if you're saying your genetics are
stopping you from
getting to where you want to be i don't
know about you but to me that sounds
like an excuse
so if you're willing to put in the work
you can do anything you want you can
achieve any goal that you have okay
but how do you grow booty i have many
posts on this on my instagram
um but girl
go to the gym do your leg days two or
three leg days a week
eat your protein don't be scared to eat
food do that consistently
and don't forget your progressive
overload so continue to lift heavier
do that for at least a good year
and you will find yourself with the
booty
okay
no giving up after six months of not
seeing results you're gonna have to go
longer than that okay
and be consistent if you're not
consistent it's
you're not gonna get there okay you
gotta be consistent gotta be dedicated
gotta get your butt to the gym two three
days a week
and every single week for a good year
okay
as well as eating enough food
okay
because
your muscles cannot grow without enough
nutrients if you're not giving your body
enough nutrients your muscles will not
grow okay there are no magical foods
that will go straight to your booty okay
all right
and if you're willing to work hard for
anything you want
you can achieve any goal that you have
there is no such thing
as your genetics
making it impossible for you to achieve
your goals
okay
no
no
you can do it you can achieve whatever
you can get a kim k booty even if you're
starting with a
pancake butt or an asian book okay no
whoever told you about this this
genetics thing and how you can't have a
nice butt because you have asian
dynamics lie to you okay no you can do
it okay you can do it
so who's inspired you most of all on
your fitness journey and why so i would
say the people who inspired me the most
would be lynn lowes who is from sweden
and like chrissy saylor or i don't know
how to
serenade her last name um and
i think she's from the uk somewhere
someone correct me so i would say those
are probably my two
um biggest influencers when it came to
fitness especially when i started like i
i still adore them but like i really
like
you know like
wanted to buy all their clothes that
they were wearing and buy their shoes
and you know and stuff like that every
single workout they do i would save and
bookmark and so i love those two girls
um
and and they're also two women who i
feel like are very
they run their own businesses they do
their own thing and they don't care what
anyone says they live life on their own
terms and i love all that about them i
love that they're
they're female bosses you know and
everything about them i feel like it's
just that they're very raw authentic and
um i love all that about them you know
but yes do you find it difficult to stay
consistent
here's what i'm going to say about that
the less consistent you are the more
you're going to find yourself starting
over
if you stay consistent
right now you will never have to make
that same goal again
if you stick it to your if you stay
consistent
with your going to the gym and working
out and eating right
you and if your goal this year was to
lose 10 pounds and you lose the 10
pounds because you were consistent guess
what you're never gonna have to make
that new year's resolution again but
guess what if you don't if you're not
consistent with it guess what next year
you're making the same resolution do you
really want to stay in the same place
the same spot that you've been at that
you hate being at for the last 10 years
are you gonna put yourself in that same
position again next year
if your answer is no then it should not
be hard for you to stay consistent
okay how did you get interested in
fitness and what were some of your
struggles in the beginning i think i've
already kind of been over how i got
interested in fitness some of my
struggles were definitely just being
scared to be at the gym the whole idea
and the whole
whole place of the gym was very scary
and intimidating to me um and for me i
it's just um like i said earlier i just
i'm just a person
initially before i started doing fitness
i was just really scared to step outside
my comfort zone i was just a person of
habit
and
i was just very comfortable where i was
at and so for me that was something that
was hard for me to do was step outside
of my comfort zone and to make mistakes
because i just um
i was a person who
excelled and had and succeeded in a lot
of things that i did and so i wasn't
familiar with failure and so familiar
was a foreign concept to me and it was a
concept that i didn't want to become
familiar with um and so so getting rid
of that mindset was also
hard for me to do at the beginning like
what start at ground zero no what no no
thanks you know like i don't want to
look stupid i don't want to you know
like make mistakes and stuff like that
and so for me that was
something that i showed a little bit at
the beginning as well so were there
times where school got so stressful that
you couldn't work out
for me school is definitely my one of my
biggest priorities just finishing school
because once i finish school i will
never have to do it again like how you
if you achieve your fitness goal you
will never have to make the same goal
again you won't ever have to go through
the whole process again okay
but yeah and so definitely if there were
times if there are times when i have
like a deadline or if i know that if i
go to the gym
then i won't be able to get an
assignment done then i'm gonna get the
assignment done okay um yes fitness is a
lifestyle yes fitness is a priority but
i'm also not trying to fail school
either you know and so but i think
you'll definitely set yourself up for
success by making for me that for me i
make a lot of uh i hang out every single
day i know exactly what assignments i'm
doing every single day i know when all
my deadlines are um and you know and i
know what i'm doing on the weekends but
my schedule looks like on the weekends
and you know just planning ahead and
creating a plan for success so that i
know that i have time for everything
that's coming ahead you know i'm not
just winging it every single day and be
like i hope i have enough time today to
do this no i know that i'm going to have
time to do something because i'm going
to make time for it okay but if yes
there are ever times when um
even when i was taking 20 credits last
semester and doing um
even when i was taking 20 credits last
semester
it was still yes i was short i always
felt like i was short on time and i was
just flying by the seat of my pants but
i always made sure that okay this is
homework time and i'm going to carve out
these two hours to go to the gym because
that's also important to me you know and
if i'm going to fit into my schedule
because if i don't
then
well
not is not an option okay i'm going to
find a way to fit into my schedule okay
and and i'll go to the gym and if i have
to move other things around then i'll do
that so i can go to the gym so i can hit
my goal so i can stay consistent you
know but if ever like i said before if
there are times when
i know that going to the gym is truly
going to jeopardize like my grades and
my assignments and yes i'm going to stay
home and do my do my assignments but
that doesn't mean every day
oh i didn't plan ahead so i didn't get
all my homework done homework done or i
slept in today or i took too long of a
lounge or i spent too much time watching
netflix no there's none of that every
single hour of the day is well planned
out so that i am being efficient with my
time okay because time you don't ever
get that back
um but yeah
all right so
how did you know that you're gaining
muscle and not bad at weight when
starting
and then i also got the question
do you ever did you ever get discouraged
when you started getting muscle or
becoming thick and what helped you
through it
no i never got discouraged that i was
becoming thick or building muscle
because that was always my goal okay um
you know you can't say that you want
something
and then complain about getting it you
know
i so my goal has always been to gain
body mass in general
and to build muscle and so gaining
weight has never concerned me or really
scared me i think there was definitely a
time when it was uncomfortable for me
because i was just so used to
like
used to being small that when i started
to gain weight then i was like wait my
clothes don't fit me anymore and i can't
just go to the store and grab the
smallest size anymore you know or i
can't button my button anymore of my
pants and so there was a time when it
was like a little bit uncomfortable but
hey that's what i asked for if you're
wanting to build muscle and build body
mass
you're going to outgrow your clothes
okay you're not going to just magically
become curvaceous with an hourglass
shape and not get any fat or not go up
in size okay
especially if you're
making significant changes okay you're
going to you're just like if you're
going to lose if you
wanted to lose weight
your clothes will get smaller well if
you want to gain weight your clothes are
going to get bigger okay
and how did you know when you're you're
getting muscle not bad away um
you know because you can actually you
can literally see like your muscles
getting bigger like with progress
pictures and stuff like that and
literally physically getting stronger
like lifting heavier weights that you
couldn't lift before but yeah and um but
i think
you know going back to what i was saying
earlier i think there is misconception
that when you gain muscle when you build
a booty you're magically going to get a
huge kim k booty and
you're still going to wear a size extra
small size zero like no
i went from a size zero double zero to
like a size four now okay that's a
pretty big jump and
but you know it's just um people are
people they want the big booty but they
don't want to go up in dress sizes but
you have to
you can't
you you have to have they come as a
package deal if you're going to build a
booty
you know if you're going to build muscle
mass your pant size also going to go up
okay but that's the goal right
to build a bigger booty so your booty
can fit into bigger jeans right not so
you can fit the ones your brain right
now so if you're gonna ask for something
don't complain about it when you get
there okay
so how do you manage to eat healthy and
how do you say no to foods that aren't
considered healthy
so if you
been following me for a while you know
that
i'm pretty lenient with my food okay if
i want to eat something i'll just eat it
and i won't feel bad about it and i
believe that's crucial to build a
positive relationship with food and so
sometimes it's not always good to say
this is bad food you should eat it this
is good food you should eat more of this
you know definitely there are foods that
have more nutrients and are more
nutrient dense than other foods that are
more just empty calories okay
it's up to you
how much of the
nutrient dense or every calories you
want to eat you know and everyone has
their own balance that
they decide you know that this is how
much unhealthy food or unhealthy food
i'm gonna eat and for me if i want to
eat something i'm just gonna eat it i'm
not gonna feel bad about it and that's
the kind of person i am um but it's up
to you to decide you know if you want to
be more strict with it or more lenient
you know
if you literally just want to work out
because you like to work out but still
but you don't care about looking good or
you don't care about having a certain
physique and you just want to work out
because you want to work out and then
you go eat mcdonald's for four meals a
day then go for it you know as long as
you know that
as long as you know what you're getting
your stuff into as long as you know the
consequences of your decisions okay
and so yeah so whatever you choose to do
do it and you know and do it because
it's going to make you happy but also
know that with every decision you make
there are going to be consequences good
or bad little
big ones are small ones okay and so
whatever you decide to do be ready to
face the consequences
everyone has their own balance with food
i know people who are fitness who look
great and they still go party get lit
every single weekend you know there's
people who
will have been tracking their macros for
like 10 years straight and you know
refuse to not track their macros and
they you know meal prep every single
week and you know i've never missed a
meal prep in the last five years and so
it's up to you how strict or how lenient
you want to be and whatever you decide
to do that's totally on you there's no
right or wrong way the only wrong way to
do it is to do it in a way that makes
you unhappy okay and
the more
the final find
a balance that's going to make you happy
because if it makes you happy guess what
you're going to keep doing it that means
it's going to be sustainable that also
means it's going to be maintainable that
also means you're going to be consistent
that also means you're going to reach
your goals okay but if you stick with
the diet that you hate that makes you
unhappy guess what you're not going to
stick to it that means it's not going to
be sustainable because you're not going
to stick to it that means you're also
not going to be consistent and if you're
not consistent with your diet and your
goals what's going to happen you're not
going to achieve
whatever goals that you have okay
so
there are different kinds of balances no
right or wrong the right one is the one
that makes you happy the wrong one is
someone that you do because you think
you need to do but you don't actually
need to do and the one that makes you
unhappy okay
so i struggle
with really awful periods any tips for
working out on your period
[Music]
so when it comes to your period
i will just say
who controls your life you or your
period
are you really going to let your period
influence your decisions
are you really going to allow it to uh
not take one step closer to your goal
are you really going to allow it to
to
make you stay in the same place
instead of being at the gym and working
out
you're just laying on the bed
drowning yourself in self-pity
okay
your period is a week in your life every
single month or so
so um
don't let your period on your life okay
you are
better than that you're stronger than
that okay
so when you period comes and if you get
cramps
i know how it is because i get them too
if it's really bad
then um
take an ibuprofen a college day go to
the gym and then you live to work out
another day all right
you do not you own your life your period
does not okay don't let your period get
in the way of your goals okay you are
better than that
or you can also just switch your rest
days too so if you're having like a bad
period day
you know major cramps etc instead of
going to the gym call that your rest day
and then when your usual rest day comes
go to the gym okay
or just skip that day and then don't
even worry about it all right
but
don't let your period control your life
okay
it does not control your life
so this is all for today's fitness
