We're gonna be trying a bunch of different ones.
We're gonna put it all here,
see whether or not it stacks up
to what we have out in Australia.
Famous McDonald's.
Wow.
That thing nearly hit me.
What is that?
It's stuck.
I'm gonna pop this up.
You good?
Lads, we had this guy watching me
and basically following me the whole time
whilst I was sitting in that restaurant.
That patty is square.
I don't think I can finish this.
I think the hot's like super hot, isn't it?
Now for you.
Rubber.
Chewing gum.
Thank me later.
Trust me.
There is freaking spikes out there.
What?
Coaster Road, let's go.
Two highway patrols out here.
Get out, In-N-Out Burger.
My clock worked.
These chips suck.
That's a letdown.
In-N-Out Burgers has the highest rating
out of all the restaurants.
It's got a 4.6.
It is literally cold to the touch.
No seed oil.
It's a secret menu.
Three, five.
It is a religious institution.
It doesn't come with nothing.
Everything's separate.
We got a cheeseburger, which is $12.89.
That's crazy.
So I've never tried Five Guys before.
Oh.
Rubber.
Welcome back to the channel, ladies and gentlemen.
My name is Clay Wong.
And today you are joining me out here in LA.
As you can see, we are by Santa Monica Beach.
One of the most famous beaches on the planet.
And we're going to be shooting a killer video
on the best fast food out here in Los Angeles.
And honestly, I cannot wait.
So we're going to continue Clay Wong's Lucky 88 Eats.
Guys, let's get going.
We've just parked up the Corvette
that we are driving out here.
I still can't believe we are in America
continuing the journey of content out here.
Honestly, I'm taken away.
This is literally after landing.
And guys, we're going to go
amongst the killer food that they have out here.
I've never been to Santa Monica Beach in my life.
This is 3.5 miles of soft ground beach sand.
And it goes from that end all the way to there.
We're going to be walking through from obviously this spot
to the different food restaurants
that we're going to be trying out.
You already know out here in America,
there are so, so many different restaurants
that are home to everywhere around the world.
We're going to be trying a bunch of different ones.
We're going to put it all here
and see whether or not it stacks up
to what we have out in Australia.
So we're going to be comparing whether or not
it's better at where it was born.
Take a look at the beach
and then we're going to get straight into
all of the best fast foods out here in America.
I am honestly so hyped.
We've been saving my stomach.
It is currently 3.55.
I haven't eaten a single thing yet.
We're going to go check out what it's like down there.
Have a look at the waters.
Stay tuned, we've got some killer content
to drop out here in America.
Make sure you hit that like button, comment below
what you reckon is going to be your favourite one.
Also other places that you reckon I should check out
for my next time that we make this food video.
And guys subscribe to the channel.
Let's get into this video.
Let's go.
All right, so you can see a couple of shops
and eateries are all closed out here.
You can see the waves here are pretty treacherous actually.
I don't think you could do much out here
in terms of like surfing,
but definitely a cool place to hang out.
There's a lot of famous celebrities
that live on Santa Monica Beach.
Lots of famous, famous spots
and historic in a lot of different movies
as you guys already know.
You don't need me to tell you about all this stuff.
Rollercoaster, Ferris wheel,
I don't know what's going on there.
It's not working.
Over there is actually the Palisades.
So if you can see on that spectrum
where it gets a little bit smoggy, hazy,
that is actually the aftermath of the fires
that took place out here in LA.
So we're about a week after it stopped completely
and now they're all contained.
Now the firefighters have got really good control on it.
But the entire stretch there is all blocked off.
I don't know if you guys can see entirely,
but actually insane.
And it's so sad.
As much as I wanted to get content for you guys,
that whole place is shut down
unless you are actually living in that area.
So really, really interesting times.
LA has been going through so much,
so much drama these past few days.
Honestly, let's hope all the best for LA.
Honestly, beautiful.
Even on a day like this,
you can see the sun is about to kick in.
The days that you want to come here to check it out
ideally are a weekday.
It is Wednesday.
It is obviously four o'clock and it's not too heckers.
But I reckon if you come on a Friday
or a Saturday or a Sunday,
best believe this place is going to be
jammed packed with people.
So you can see there's a police car here
just hanging out, waiting for some suspects to pull up.
Actually, it was crazy.
I actually saw on the news that there was massive takeover
that took place out here in Santa Monica
and they were cleaning up all of the skid marks.
It was pretty rowdy.
I can't believe they do that right here
in that iconic spot.
But stay tuned because we've got some crazy,
crazy scenes coming up in the next few days.
I'm going to be capturing all of it for you guys.
Santa Monica Municipal Pier.
Yo, this was a landmark in 1975.
We'll take a couple of photos
and we will head on out.
There's not much else to see.
Cute little like romantic spot if you guys
want to do some kind of thing like that.
But we are going to be heading up over there
to try out our very first restaurant for the day.
And that, my friends, is going to be the iconic McDonald's.
And yes, we have to try it because it is from America
and it is the home of all things fast food,
in my honest opinion.
So we're going to see how it stacks up.
Can't wait.
Let's go.
Yo, there are fire trucks everywhere.
It's kind of scary.
All right, guys, let's go.
So just around the corner here
is where we can actually find McDonald's.
And it should be just out there.
In Australia, we call it Macca's.
We kind of shorten everything.
Sometimes I've heard they call it like McD
in other countries like Indonesia and all that.
So it's interesting to hear all of the different phrases
and names for these restaurants
that we kind of like know and love.
So if you guys want to kick up some killer warm,
all day, everyday materials, guys,
make sure you hit up PlayWorld, Kongku.
You guys already know some of the craziest merch
that is going to be dropping very, very soon.
So stay tuned.
McDonald's.
All right, so some interesting characters
we've got out here.
But this is McDonald's, the golden one, actually.
Can't wait to see what it's all about.
There it is.
Still famous McDonald's out here at Santa Monica.
Let's go.
We'll go through here.
By doing it on the system here,
we can actually scroll and take our time
having a suss on which one is actually good.
Angel Reese Special.
Yo, that sounds pretty wild.
We've got a McChicken, McSpicy, Big Mac.
Okay, for me personally, I'm just going to order the burger
that I always, always, always order.
And that is a quarter pounder.
So hopefully they have that.
Okay.
Oh, they've got barbecue bacon quarter pounder.
Yo, okay.
So this is crazy, right?
The hamburger is three bucks.
That costs like $2 in Australia.
And the cheeseburger costs $0.30.
Where's the quarter pounder?
Okay.
With cheese.
Let's just get that.
Won't want the meal.
I don't really want the chips though.
Let's just get the burger by itself.
We're going to be eating so, so many different meals.
So we're going to be stuck, honestly.
All right.
So this burger costs $6.60,
which is, it's about 10 Australian dollars.
It's kind of a lot, to be honest.
We'll see if it's worth it in a second, guys.
Hey mate.
1167?
Yeah, easy.
Thank you.
I always wonder if people can understand my accent.
As you can see out here,
at the Santa Monica McDonald's,
it is quiet.
It's like a ghost town out here.
I've never seen a populated McDonald's,
like close to a beach, that's this quiet.
Yep.
Thank you so much.
Cheers.
All right.
I was going to go eat it outside,
but I reckon I'm going to just smash it here.
See how it goes real quick.
So the McDonald's looks exactly the same
as what you'd expect over in any other country.
Yeah.
Hopefully it's good in the birthplace of McDonald's.
So normally, these quarter pounders out in Australia
are made with Australian beef, as they like to call it.
So I think this one actually looks so juicy.
It looks really fresh.
Steamed bun.
Look at the business.
And yeah, proper onions, pickles, ketchup,
bit of mustard on there.
See how we go.
Let's have our first bite, guys.
Wow.
This burger is straight up so juicy.
It's so tasty.
Wow.
Meat is actually cooked extremely well.
It's not overcooked.
It's actually like maybe medium well.
It's so good.
This, guys, is hands down the best quarter pounder
I have ever had in my life.
This is a straight 10.
In terms of quarter pounder at Macca's for a burger,
I'd rate this a nine out of 10.
It's not a fancy burger.
It doesn't have bacon.
It doesn't have extra double patties, triple this.
This is a staple McDonald's burger done so, so right.
I don't know what they put in this,
but Australia, New Zealand,
I think you guys gotta pick up your Macca's game,
your McDonald's game.
All right, guys, on to our next spot.
So around the corner is Wendy's,
which is one of the spots that we actually tried
over in the Gold Coast.
One of the only stores that they have in Australia.
The only store.
Can't wait to see what that tastes like
as an OG out here in America.
Let's go.
All right, guys, we're out here.
On the way to Wendy's and a few other restaurants
that are around the corner.
You can see this is downtown Santa Monica,
the train station.
It's just a vibe.
It is obviously not that busy today,
being a day like today.
Is that an Akita?
Hello.
It's honestly sad to see that there are actually
a fair bit of homeless people that are living on here
in Santa Monica Beach.
We've gone through so many of the different hoods
throughout Australia, New Zealand.
So instead of driving,
we figured we'd do kind of like an inside by walking,
which is the best way to explore it.
And fingers crossed, it doesn't actually rain on us.
And I know a lot of you guys are probably wondering,
like, Clay, why didn't you go here?
Why didn't you go there?
I wanted to try these restaurants in particular
because they came up on my radar
and something that I've always wanted to try as well.
So guys, if you're liking the content,
make sure you like it and subscribe.
Let's go to the next spot.
We got Wendy's coming up.
And guys, we've also got Jack in a Box,
a place that we have never tried before.
We are out here at Lincoln Boulevard.
You got a Dainese here, a pharmacy.
This is called the CVS.
This Jack in a Box is absolutely massive.
Every single thing that you see out in America
is actually supersized.
Like the cars, the roads are like super wide,
five lane highways.
It's crazy.
So should we do Jack in the Box first?
Then we'll do Wendy's over there?
I think we should.
Across this road.
Damn, that thing really hit me.
What is that?
That's crazy.
That's actually wild.
Let's continue on our journey.
We're gonna go first to Jack in the Box.
I think I was saying Jack in a Box,
but it is Jack in the Box.
I think we should keep the trend going with beef burgers.
Although I do know the chicken burger is a slap.
Hi there.
What's your signature classic burger?
Oh, the regular cheeseburger?
Yeah, can we get that?
Just by itself?
Yep.
Perfect.
Thank you.
All right, guys, you're gonna have to forgive me
because I have no idea what people order out here
at Jack in the Box,
but we're gonna try to order their basic staple,
the one that people seem to be getting out there.
It's called the Jumbo Cheese.
So it is six USD,
super similar to the one over at McDonald's,
which is the quarter pounder.
Six USD to that, also 10 bucks Australian.
So keen to see how this tastes.
It's definitely even more quiet than McDonald's over here.
Yes.
Thank you, bro.
Appreciate it, man.
Have a good one.
Jack pack.
Let's go.
All right, you guys are gonna have to forgive me.
It is pretty loud.
There's music.
So we're gonna try out the Jumbo Jack cheeseburger.
So this is basically the equivalent
of the McDonald's cheeseburger,
but it's priced a little bit higher.
Obviously, it's priced at the quarter pounder level.
So we'll have to see how it fares
with the McDonald's burger,
or as we like to call it, the Macca's burger.
Straight away, this burger looks way crazier
than a standard cheeseburger.
As you can see, it's got so many more things going on.
So you've got a lettuce, tomato, mayo, onions, cheese.
It doesn't look as good as a McDonald's burger,
although it costs basically the same.
Let's go, Jack of the box.
I have to say that this burger
is kind of like a standard burger
that you'd find at any other restaurant.
I wouldn't say there's any standout features.
The mayo does make it taste a little bit different
compared to your quarter pounder burgers,
but the meat is overcooked.
The tomato is, it's okay.
The patty isn't as rich and dense.
The buns are quite thin.
Although they're steamed, they're not really flavorsome.
You can't really taste that edge
as to the McDonald's burger.
Honestly, if I had to be honest,
I'd give this burger a 5.5.
Yeah, it ain't too fly, to be honest.
It's just like a standard burger,
nothing to write home about,
and it costs six USD, which is quite a lot.
$10.50 AUD, it's definitely up there.
Yeah, I wouldn't say it's worth that kind of money.
So I'm just gonna eat the meat,
and then we're gonna bounce.
There's just too many meals coming up.
It's stuck.
Honestly, I had real, real high expectations
for Jack in the Box after McDonald's
set the standard so high.
I guess you can't beat the king.
All right, I'm gonna pop this up, get going,
and thankfully, our next spot is just over there.
You good?
All right, lads, we had this guy watching me
and basically following me the whole time
whilst I was sitting in that restaurant.
That was kind of scary, if I'm honest,
or just kind of concerning.
That man was looking directly at my soul.
That Jack in the Box is, yeah,
just wasn't that good.
Hopefully, the Wendy's burger tastes better.
It's just over there.
I have to show you this.
That right there is a Waymo, or a Vaymo, a Verno,
whatever you call it,
all-electric self-driving vehicle.
In that situation, there is no one driving that car.
What?
Should we do a video on what it's like
to sit in a self-driving car?
It just drives itself.
I hope you guys saw that.
There's literally no one in the car whatsoever.
That blows my mind.
They're really pushing the electric cars.
If you come here, you'll see Teslas everywhere.
You'll see Cybertrucks.
Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo.
Take a look.
That's a full Cybertruck.
That's full, sick.
Look at that.
Yo.
That was right on cue.
Literally right on cue.
And those things are massive in real life.
And next to that, guys, we got Wendy's.
In Australia, on the Gold Coast,
we had the Wendy's Classic.
So guys, naturally, we have to get the Wendy's Classic.
See, you got a couple of bikes,
things parked out here.
Let's go.
Alrighty, let's have a suss of the Wendy's out here.
Check out the menu.
So it's called the Dave's Single.
Apparently, they don't have a Wendy's Classic.
Yeah, can I just get a,
do you have something called a Wendy's Single?
Or is that a Dave's Single?
Dave's Single.
Can I get that one, please?
Yeah, for sure.
How can you guys call it the Dave's Single?
That was the name of the guy that started the company.
Not Wendy's.
I think that was his daughter's name.
Oh, okay, no way.
He named the restaurant after his daughter.
Okay, cool.
Yeah, sweet.
Can I just get that one, please, by itself?
Yeah, for sure.
Easy.
What part of Australia are you from?
Melbourne.
Oh, cool, man.
I've always wanted to go to Australia.
Oh, man, you should check it out.
It's not actually called Wendy's Single.
You see how it stacks up against the heavy hitters,
McDonald's, and Jack in the Box,
which really wasn't that good anyway.
Keep to see how this goes, guys.
You can see they actually do burritos here.
That's crazy.
I've never had a breakfast burrito before, but-
Thank you, bro.
Have a good one.
See ya.
We're gonna sit out here.
All right, guys, we are gonna have
Dave's Single Hamburger right now.
This costs $6.60 USD, which is the equivalent of,
actually, guys, this costs $7.38 USD,
so it's about 12 Australian dollars, which is up there.
It's the most expensive burger,
and that here is from Wendy's,
and it's the Dave's Single.
This is the equivalent of the one that we had
out in Gold Coast, so I can't wait to see how it compares.
Have a look at that.
That patty is square, and it looks so thick.
Dang, that's crazy.
Let's see how it goes, guys.
This burger tastes the most gourmet,
comparatively to Macca's,
comparatively to Jack in the Box.
It's got a mixture of all the things that we had.
It's got the tomatoes, the pickles, the mayo,
also the cheese, and that patty,
so honestly, guys, if I had to give this a rating out of 10,
it doesn't stack up to the Macca's
because that one was just god-tier.
Like, I've never had a fast food burger
that tastes that good.
I'd give this a solid eight out of 10.
It's good, it's really good,
but that Macca's burger just hits different.
I have to say, though, this tastes virtually identical
to the one on the Gold Coast.
Like, it's just weird.
It's so similar in taste, has the exact same score.
I wasn't even thinking about that, but it's so, so close.
Mm, that's good.
Although, the patties here are bigger
than the ones in Hobbs.
I don't think I can finish this.
We'll have one more bite,
and then we're gonna smash the meat,
and we gotta go.
This is a lot of food.
We're struggling.
It's crazy, though.
I'm not gonna lie.
Eating these burgers are really, really costly out here.
Your man's gonna be eating 10,000 calories in this video,
so make sure, if you guys are liking the content,
hit that like button.
Comment below which one you think will be the best,
and subscribe.
It'd really help me out, because I am struggling.
I think we've got about four or five more places to go, so.
Next, we're gonna go to Chipotle.
I know, a little bit different, but we have to try.
It is one of the best fast food places,
so guys, let's go.
All right, guys, we're now out here
at Santa Monica Public Library.
There's so many people studying,
chilling, doing some work, reading.
It's cool to see it out here,
but this is Santa Monica Boulevard.
It's really, really nice out here.
You can see some of the places are literally brand new.
It's very high end.
Compared to some of the other places around Santa Monica,
it definitely looks like it's well kept.
I mean, this is the iconic Santa Monica Boulevard, so.
It is overcast, it is starting to rain,
but we will soldier on.
I am honestly a little bit disappointed by Wendy's.
I thought it would be a slapper being the most expensive,
but it just wasn't there.
I really have these thoughts in my head
for these places to be really, really good,
and then they end up being not that good,
and it's like, oh, dang.
I had thought McDonald's wouldn't be the best,
but guys, absolute king.
Our next stop is going to be Chipotle,
which is an iconic fast food Mexican eatery.
So I'm really excited to see how this tastes,
how it compares to what we have in Australia,
which is Guzman y Gomez, things like that.
And for me personally, Guzman y Gomez is the best
for fast food places over in Australia for tacos, burritos.
So we're gonna try it and see how it compares
and contrasts to what we know.
Obviously, we don't have that many Mexican people
in Australia, but here there is a prominent force.
Heaps and heaps and heaps of different cultures
live out here in America.
So it's like a melting pot of people, of food.
So I'm excited, guys.
Look at that.
That's sick.
I'm just honestly really taken back by how quiet LA is.
We drove through downtown LA, drove to Hollywood,
and it was quiet, man, like dead quiet.
A lot of things that I've been hearing
is that LA is super expensive.
It's costly to be out here.
Even food, as you guys have seen, it is dead costly.
Like I can't believe how much I'm paying for these burgers.
In total, we already spent 40 AUD,
three burgers, parking and all that for you guys.
Just an eye-opener to see the lifestyle and the living cost
and to just be out here in LA,
obviously the most expensive city in all of America.
All right, guys, we're out here.
This is downtown Santa Monica.
It is the period of Black History Month
and it is raining on me,
so the weather is not in our favor by any means,
but the show must go on.
They got some shops out here, a bit of a vibe.
Obviously not a vibe right now,
but it's super, super nice.
There's some security hanging out in the front there,
just manning the fort in terms of anything going down,
which is good.
How do they landscape that all the time?
Crazy.
You got Adidas.
No way.
They've got a Holy Moly here as well.
There's a lot of bookshops.
Gyo kaku, all we can eat.
58 USD per person.
Dang, that's pricey.
Yo, the milk tea here costs eight USD.
That is fried.
It's like $12, $13.
Man, you got me feeling real broke out here.
I'm not gonna lie.
Chipotle Mexican Grill.
We're gonna try it out.
Let's go see how it is.
Let's go.
Hey, brother, do I start from over there?
Oh, yeah.
Hey, man, can I please just get a burrito, chicken?
Is that kind of like your best seller?
Best seller, I guess, is white rice, black beans, chicken.
Awesome, let's do that, man.
Send it.
How long have you been making burritos out here for?
Out here?
Yeah. Six months.
Six months? Oh, nice.
A couple of patients, a couple of months.
Yeah, nice.
What kind of rice is this?
Like you said, the white rice?
White rice, black beans, chicken.
Yeah, nice.
Let's go.
Yum.
You can see it's kind of like a subway stuff.
So nothing like GYG.
Sauce?
Yes, please.
What kind?
Can I get mild, medium, and hot?
Can I get mild, please?
I think the hot's like super hot, isn't it?
Not for me.
Not for you?
Oh, dang.
Can I get corn, sour cream, cheese, corn, or lettuce?
Yeah, can I just get sour cream, corn?
Perfect.
Just a bit of cheese and a little bit of lettuce,
if that's all right.
Awesome.
That's it, thank you, man.
Nice, oh, that looks good.
Damn, that is a huge, huge burrito.
How the heck am I gonna finish that?
Thank you so much, you too.
All right, guys, we're gonna go eat outside.
There is a music playing out here,
so let's go check it out.
All right, guys, we just secured the bag.
We've got ourselves a burrito.
Got a little table situation out here.
Guys, this is the fourth meal that we're gonna have.
It is the chipotle chicken burrito.
This burrito costs $11.40 US,
which is equivalent to about $18.50 Australian.
So it's definitely up there in terms of price,
but as this man was packing it, this is absolutely huge.
Like, it's gigantic.
Look at this.
Rubber.
This is huge.
If you have to compare this
to, like, a kebab that we've had, no way.
This thing is, like, close to a kilo.
I'm not even joking.
This is the biggest burrito I have ever had in my life.
Holy moly, look at that, it's steaming.
All right, keen to try it out.
I'm actually getting really, really full.
Definitely one of their top fast food burrito eateries,
and, of course, they do tacos, enchiladas,
all that other kind of stuff,
but we're gonna try their gold standard burrito.
If you can't do a burrito right, what are you doing?
And we'll see how it compares
to the Aussie equivalent's Taco Bell, not that good.
GYG, obviously, one of my favorites, so let's go, guys.
Oh, all of it.
If you had to compare this, straight away,
it weighs literally three times as much as a GYG burrito.
Although it costs, like, $3, $4 more, it's so worth it.
The content inside it is really fresh, it's so tasty.
You can see the guy making it right in front of your eyes,
so you know it's good, you know it's legit,
you know what they're putting in is, like, proper stuff.
It's not some pre-packaged stuff
that you can see from behind the walls.
I have to be honest, this is straight out value on value.
I have to say, the content ratio of, like, meat and rice
is definitely way off.
There's so much rice and there ain't that much meat,
so it's gonna fill you up.
In terms of it being protein packed, probably not so much,
but we're gonna try, add a little bit of Tabasco,
add a bit of spice to it.
I think that's enough, I don't wanna die.
That's good.
All right, in all honesty, I reckon this burrito,
I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10.
It's really, really good, it's packed.
However, there's just not enough meat,
there's not enough texture from the meat coming out.
It is just filled with content, really good value.
In terms of it being a better tasting burrito than GYG,
probably not there.
The GYG burritos are honestly always so, so good,
so I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10,
but I don't think I can finish this.
I got dinner sorted right here, guys, and breakfast.
Let's go.
All right, guys, we are walking back to the car now.
Look at that.
That's sick.
As you can see here by the waterfront,
they've got a little bit of a vibe going on.
It's cool to see that there's some sort of
fine dining restaurant out here.
You'd think so, obviously,
with all the famous celebrities living out here,
and just how much it costs to be here.
Yeah, I think I'm suffering from food coma,
which is why I sound,
Civic Type R,
which is why I sound a little bit more flat and tired,
but it's all good,
because we're gonna go get ourselves some drinks,
and then we'll be back on top.
Let's get it.
Yo, look at this little food truck.
They've got birria tacos and all.
That is a 992 GT3 in arrow blue.
Holy moly, that is sick.
But stay tuned,
because we are gonna be hanging
with some of the craziest supercars very soon.
Love in LA, and it's basically my first day.
All right, guys,
we finally made it out of Santa Monica Beach.
It's such a vibe now when it's at night,
so we can illuminate it,
kind of like a little carnival theme park situation,
but for our next destination,
we've got five guys.
We've also got In-N-Out Burger,
so I don't know if we're gonna be able
to smash them all out,
but we'll try our freaking best, yo.
Take a look at this.
We still got the Corvette parked up.
We can absolutely fly,
so see if the key still works.
Let's go.
Also, if you haven't seen my previous video
of me picking this car up in LA,
you should go check it out,
because it was absolutely sick, game-changing.
This key here, if you double tap it.
Ha ha ha ha.
It's such a wag.
Always make sure you've got some chewing gum
after eating a ton of onions.
You need it, honestly.
You gotta thank me later, trust me.
Hey, yo, I don't know if you guys can see this,
but we're about to leave,
and there is freaking spikes out there.
What?
That is kind of scary.
Hopefully, it's enough, but I don't know
if you guys can see that back there.
Lots of spikes.
That was kind of sketch.
Guys, the roads out here are so confusing.
I literally don't know where I'm going.
Also, it's left-hand drive.
In a left-hand drive country,
coast to road, let's go.
In the tunnel.
This is so sick.
It's still kind of unnerving to drive,
because I don't know how far the car is
from hitting the side on the right,
and I find myself constantly veering to the right as well,
because I'm used to being in a right-hand drive car
on a left-hand side of the road situation,
but we are slowly getting the hang of it.
Yo, we got two highway patrols out here from LA.
I've never seen anything like it before,
but they are there,
and there's a cop in front in the Charger.
Is there any more?
Oh, bro, your wing is way too big.
Damn, I don't think they pull over people like that.
Goodbye, officer.
All right, guys, we are here.
Check it out, In-N-Out Burger.
Let's go.
It's a full establishment in itself.
Yo, this restaurant is pretty busy
compared to the other restaurants that we've seen.
Too close for comfort,
but we got the CA looking absolutely epic.
Guys, this restaurant is so easy to take in.
People actually queue everywhere.
A bit of a line to get to the front,
so I'll keep you guys updated when we get there.
So it looks like their cheeseburger is only $4.25.
That's peanuts.
All right, you can see the menu over there.
You got the double-double,
which is what we've been getting
at the other restaurants in terms of price.
Okay, we'll do the cheeseburger,
the French fries, and the medium drink.
We'll get that meal.
Hi, thank you.
Can I just get number two, please?
Thank you so much.
Cheers.
Let's go, guys.
See, they're just making their burgers.
They've got a full train of people smashing it away.
So all their drinks are actually soft.
We're gonna try the pink lemonade and white.
That's got no calories, no extra calories,
so we're gonna stem that.
It's nice.
Yum.
This is really, really, so refreshing.
You can see these guys are cooking away,
literally full train situation, like clockwork.
Thank you, bro.
Yes, thank you.
Thanks, brother.
One like is one prayer.
I pray to God that this doesn't drop,
but the shot right now looks absolutely sick.
We've got the In-N-Out shop there.
We've got the CA looking absolutely crazy.
So guys, this is the perfect way to send it
with our first In-N-Out meal.
I can't wait to try it for my first time ever.
Basic single cheeseburger is actually only $4, 25 USD,
and then the double double with double cheese,
double patty is about $6.
So it's way cheaper than every other burger
that we've had today.
First up, take a look at this pack here.
You got the burger and the chips packed right next door.
So first time we're getting a meal,
we're not gonna rate the chips or the drink.
It's gonna be like a bonus.
First, let's go try the chips.
They absolutely have no salt whatsoever.
These chips suck.
There's no salt on them.
I swear they forgot to salt them
because they do not taste good.
That's a letdown.
Let's go try their burgers.
So In-N-Out burgers has the highest rating
out of all the restaurants.
It's got a 4.6 in this particular branch out here.
So let's go and try it and see how it tastes.
So this is the single cheeseburger.
You've got one patty, which is very thin.
You've got the cheese, which is huge.
Look at the onion.
It's a full blown onion, lettuce, tomato,
and these buns are super thick.
Can't wait to try it guys.
Let's go.
Wow.
That bread is so, so good.
The bread, the lettuce, the meat, the onion.
Normally, I take like a few bites to see how good it is.
Instantly from the first bite, this thing is crazy.
Everything has like a crazy fresh crunch to it.
The produce is ultra fresh.
The meat tastes nice and clean.
It's not overly fatty.
It is cooked probably closer to the well-done side,
although it's not burnt.
This is straight out one of the best cheeseburgers
I've ever had.
It's not as packed as to the quarter pounder
or something like that for a cheeseburger in itself.
This is a straight out 9.5 out of 10.
I'm just a little bit sad that it's a little bit cold,
although we have been chatting and it's that
it is literally cold to the touch.
How is this bun so good?
Like, look at that.
It's like full crispy.
Are you rating the burger?
Yeah.
Can I get on in this review?
Come through, bro.
Yo, so we just had In-N-Out on Tamsui.
Did you go to Tamsui?
Of course not.
We're locals.
No way, man.
But we got a lot of opinions.
They've been changing the recipe a little bit.
Local, yeah.
Yeah, we're locals.
The buns, improving.
Onions.
The buns are so good.
So good.
The buns are so good.
And I had a little opinion of mine.
If they caramelized their onions,
I know that's a little bourdain.
It's a little...
It's like $4, you know?
It's pretty good.
$4, and that is my point.
That is the point.
You are trying to make it more than what it is,
and it's perfect.
It is one of the last institutions in California,
in America,
In the world.
In the world that works.
You never feel like you're being cheated out.
It's capitalism.
It's the only proof that capitalism could work.
Everything else doesn't work.
Yup, yup.
This is the only way where I can say this works.
I also feel comfortable eating In-N-Out,
because me and Diego, we asked the chef,
what do you cook your meat in?
And they said no seed oil.
No seed oil.
Wow.
This is really healthy,
and I sit down and I see all these beautiful families,
and it's like a conversion of luck.
And it's like...
The price is always good.
Price is always good.
Price is right.
Everyone's happy, everyone's smiling.
Where are you from?
Australia, man.
Australia, yeah.
Where in Australia?
Melbourne.
Oh, that's awesome.
Oh, nice.
You're really nice.
It's okay, not too bad, yeah.
What'd you think about your first burger?
I rated this a 9.5.
Wow.
I mean, for the price, for the price.
Did you get animal style?
Do that next time.
Oh my god, you're about to unlock your secret menu.
Explain it to me.
Fried in mustard, right?
And then they put pickles on it?
And they put some delicious sauce,
and you can also get animal style fries.
Hold on a second, if you're not a fan of pickles,
you can also get animal style with them.
That's right, guys.
You can get the Flying Dutchman.
It's called the animal style.
Yes.
That's sick.
Let's f***ing go.
Let's go, in and out!
So we tried like four burgers today.
Yeah.
Wow.
We had, what's the first one?
McDonald's.
Okay.
That was actually really good.
It is.
I'm surprised.
It prevails, it prevails.
Honestly, it's so good.
Compared to like everything else,
we had Jack in the Box, which is pretty bad.
Wendy's was also bad.
Yeah.
But he's a fan of Jack in the Box.
I don't know, no, I always want to go there,
cause I've never been there.
It's not good, it's not good.
Don't waste your time.
I don't know if you know that.
Carl's Jr. has really good burgers.
No, it does slap.
It does slap.
I have a friend of mine, shoutout Nico,
who is a huge fan of Carl's Jr.
I would always f*** Carl's Jr.
I was more of like,
when I would want to take an alternative approach
to my burger, I would do Burger King.
Burger King?
Yeah.
We got that in middle school.
I know, we got that for school,
and I won't admit, I won't lie.
Carl's Jr. is the best.
In that territory.
If you're gonna delve into that territory,
but honestly, if you live in LA or California,
just get in it.
Yeah, just get in it.
Yeah, it's so good.
The only problem with it is the line.
I got my fries in a minute.
My fries sucked though.
They had no salt on them.
Really?
Oh, you ask for salt.
Yeah, you can get salt.
They give you iodized salt.
That's what I get.
Oh really?
Yeah, it's a little—
They don't give it with no salt?
Yeah.
People that are trying to be no sodium.
Yeah, no sodium.
Yeah, that's a little bit—
And then I always ask my fries to be a little bit more crispier,
and it gets a little bit more toasted.
Wow.
You can ask for stuff?
You can really—
They love their customers.
Dude, they got big-team people in there.
You know, hold on.
They was an exception.
Me and this guy, we usually get four for four.
A double.
So that's if you're a big guy.
A double double double.
It's four patties.
And you know, wait, hold on.
Can I just say something to your audience?
You know why In-N-Out is so good?
Why?
Because look, it says—
If you read it, and maybe you can take a photo,
you can insert it.
It says Proverbs 3.5.
It's a Bible quote.
It is a religious institution,
and they have morals, they have ethics,
and that makes them perfect.
Alright, next time you're here,
get the animal style, salt on the fries.
Now you know.
Now you know the tips.
Also, you know, the lemon on the Coke?
Oh, it's two.
Squeeze a little bit of lemon on the Coke.
Dude, I gotta try that.
You gotta try it.
Well, next guys, we're gonna go to Five Guys.
Alright.
We're gonna see how it's like.
I'm not gonna lie, I like Five Guys.
The only problem is the price.
How much is it for a cheeseburger?
Bro.
Bro, it's like—
The thing is that they separate everything.
So everything is like—
The burger has its specific price.
And here you can get everything for like $10.
You're getting like a $17 meal at Five Guys.
That's crazy.
Shout out to you guys out here.
Thanks, bro.
What was your name, bro?
Spencer.
Diego.
Diego and—
Sonny.
Sonny, good to meet you guys.
Take care.
Have a great one.
Good to meet you guys.
I'm gonna watch—
Enjoy Five Guys.
Done.
Take care, guys.
We're gonna go wrap it up.
Head on over to our last and final spot today
for the beef burgers.
The best fast food joints out here.
In America.
LA.
Now, we're gonna go over to Five Guys.
Let's go.
Also, I just noticed that says plebotomy.
In Australia, pleb means like not good.
And lobotomy is—
Obviously, you know what that means.
All right, guys.
We are about to arrive at our destination.
Our lucky number six place.
And that is Five Guys just over there.
What a mission.
Today has gone from sunny, rain, night time.
And now, we're getting destroyed by burgers literally everywhere.
Look at that.
That's an F-150.
That is massive.
We just made it to Five Guys.
Let's go and try out our last and final fast food restaurant of the day.
I'm super hyped to see how this place fares against all the other restaurants
that we have tried out here.
It looks nice.
100% fresh cut beef.
They do milkshakes.
All kinds of jazz.
Hamburgers.
I don't know.
What is that?
What does it say?
$7.90?
Hey, bro.
How are you, man?
Good, and you?
Good, thank you.
Can I please get the cheeseburger, if that's all right?
How does it come?
Well, you can do all the way or a couple of everything all together.
Or you can customize it.
Tell me which one.
Oh, perfect.
Yeah, yeah.
What does the cheeseburger normally come with?
That doesn't come with nothing.
Everything's separate.
Oh, really?
Okay.
Oh, wow.
Can I just get the all the way?
That's kind of like what people do, yeah?
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Nice.
Did you want any fries or any drinks today?
That's all good.
Just by itself.
Just by itself?
Thank you.
How long have you been working here, man?
Like a year.
Yeah, it's good?
Are the burgers good?
Yeah, they're pretty good.
Yeah?
I like it, yeah.
How does it compare to like the other ones, if you reckon?
Really juicy.
Yeah, really juicy?
Okay, awesome.
Keep to try it.
Thank you, man.
Appreciate it.
I had to double take for a second because it is pricey here.
So we got a cheeseburger, which is $12.89.
That's crazy.
I can't believe how much the burger cost, but hopefully it's good.
It's basically twice the price of what you would get at every other shop.
Have a look at some of the stuff that they're cooking.
They're preparing it.
You got all the chips, all their patties being grilled.
The burgers look good.
Thank you.
Everything's like super clean, super clear.
They're trying to showcase just how good their produce.
And obviously their burgers are, hey.
It's cool to see when everyone is actually cooking the burger.
That looks great.
Burger, Alex.
Please, Alex.
That's a juicy ass burger.
What?
Alex?
Oh, thank you.
Wait, right?
Yeah, thank you, bro.
Appreciate it.
Thank you.
Wait, wait, what?
I swear I just ordered a cheeseburger.
Does a cheeseburger mean I'm going to get five patties?
I thought it was only one.
All right, guys, let's go.
I'm super excited to wrap this video up.
We have been eating literally all day.
And I'm absolutely stuffed.
Finally, we have reached our last destination.
And that is, guys, Five Guys.
So I've never tried Five Guys before.
There is a branch that is open in Melbourne, Australia.
And I know it's actually super busy.
Obviously, there's a lot of hype about an Australian branch in Melbourne.
And I haven't been able to try it just due to time constraints and all that.
But once I get back there, we have to see how it compares to the American version,
which is the big daddy, the granddaddy of all the fast food chains that you see around the world.
This is the cheeseburger, which I kind of mistakenly thought it was just the one patty.
Seems like there are a couple patties.
Now, I don't know if you saw the price before.
But the price of this cheeseburger with the loft is $12.89 USD.
So it is basically $20 Australian.
So it's a lot of money for this burger.
So I'm keen to...
Oh, wow, it is dripping in oil everywhere.
This whole table is covered.
I'm keen to see how this tastes compared to the other ones.
Oh, my god, brother.
This is ridiculous.
Look at that burger.
I just wanted one patty, but they've given me two tomatoes, two patties.
Is this normal?
Like, just let me know in the comments.
Because the cheapest one was just a hamburger.
I think maybe all their burgers come double pattied or something.
This is nuts.
All right, guys, it's time to try this last and final burger.
It is obviously the most expensive by about two times.
So we'll see how it goes.
Wow, this is crazy.
How am I going to finish this burger?
It's insane.
Look at that.
It's dripping.
Absolutely dripping everywhere.
There's mushrooms in here, too.
I gotta give you guys my verdict.
I'm really, really full.
This is the sixth thing we've eaten all day.
This hamburger is really, really good.
How does it compare to the other ones?
Let me just break this down for you guys.
So the patties are absolutely juicy.
They're so rich, cooked medium well.
It's just oozing with fat flavor.
A bit of oil as well.
Definitely a little bit on the oily side.
The pickles, the produce, really, really good.
It's also packed full of it.
I think this is the biggest in terms of meat to other content ratio.
So it's awesome on that front.
Although the bun, it's a bit cold.
Not really like the style that I'm after, if I'm honest.
The sauce is good.
Typical cheesy cheeseburger sauce.
Yeah, it's just like supersized portions.
But you're also paying supersized prices.
So honestly, I rate this burger an 8.5 out of 10.
It's a solid 8.5 out of 10.
Today, at the time of eating this video,
I honestly think that McDonald's burger,
the McDonald's Quarter Pounder is better than this.
It's more than two times cheaper.
It's also a lot cleaner to eat, to taste.
Yeah, I feel sick.
Like, this is crazy.
Okay, I think that's gonna be it.
I cannot eat any more of this burger.
I'm gonna save it for breakfast tomorrow
because it is still so good of a burger.
I just, I'm just kind of shocked.
Like, this is massive.
You may just want one patty and one tomato, one cheese.
You end up getting two of them.
It definitely has lived up to the hype.
So I'm really glad that it tastes as good as it does.
It's as gourmet, deluxe as a cheeseburger
that I've ever, ever tried.
No, it's not some fancy like, oh, Angus beef.
It's that Wagyu beef.
No, it's a straight out base model cheeseburger.
Guys, that was a wrap of the Five Guys
and also all of the restaurants
that we have had out here today.
I want to say a massive shout out
