Hi guys! Welcome back to Kids Gospel TV.
Today we have a very exciting Bible story.
It's about a new leader named Joshua
and a big miracle God did to help his people.
The story is called Joshua Leads Israel,
Crossing the Jordan River.
Let's begin.
After Moses died, the people of Israel were very sad.
Moses had led them for many years.
But God had already chosen someone to lead them next.
His name was Joshua.
God told Joshua,
Be strong and brave.
I will be with you just like I was with Moses.
Now get ready to lead my people across the Jordan River
into the promised land.
Wow! What a big job!
Joshua trusted God and said yes.
The Israelites were standing near the Jordan River.
On the other side was the land that God had promised them.
But there was a problem.
The river was very full.
It was the harvest time and the water was deep and wide.
The people could not swim across.
They had no bridge.
They had no boats.
How would they get to the other side?
God had a plan.
He told Joshua exactly what to do.
All the people of Israel walked across the dry riverbed.
Not one of them got wet.
Children, moms, dads, and even animals crossed safely.
The priests stood in the middle of the riverbed,
still holding the ark, while everyone passed by.
When all the people had crossed,
God told Joshua,
Take twelve stones from the river,
one for each of the twelve tribes of Israel.
Pile them up where you camp tonight.
This would be a memorial,
a way to remember what God had done.
God said,
Tell the priests to carry the Ark of the Covenant
and walk into the water.
When their feet touch the water,
the river will stop.
That sounded impossible.
But Joshua and the people believed God.
So the priests picked up the Ark of the Covenant,
the special box that showed God's presence,
and began to walk toward the water.
As soon as the priests' feet touched the river,
something amazing happened.
The water stopped flowing.
The river stood still like a wall far away,
and the rest of the river flowed down and became dry.
God had done a miracle.
Just like when He split the Red Sea,
now He stopped the Jordan River.
When the priests came out of the river,
the water started flowing again,
just like before.
God had helped His people once again.
He showed them that He was with Joshua,
just like He had been with Moses.
That night, they made a big pile of twelve stones.
Joshua said,
In the future, when your children ask,
What do these stones mean?
You will tell them,
This is where God stopped the river
so we could walk across.
He did a miracle for us.
Everyone praised God.
They were excited to be in the land He had promised.
What can we learn from this story?
God keeps His promises.
He said He would bring His people into the land,
and He did.
God does miracles.
He stopped the Jordan River just like He opened the Red Sea.
God gives us good leaders.
Joshua trusted God and led the people with courage.
We should remember what God has done.
The twelve stones were a way to teach future children
about God's power and love.
We can trust God to help us through big problems.
Even when there's no way forward,
God always makes a way.
What a powerful story!
Joshua trusted God,
and God did something amazing.
