The final day of riding in a group through Myanmar! It went incredibly fast and I can't believe I'm already crossing into Thailand. Although, that is easier said than done because Thailand officially also requires a guided escort when you enter with your own vehicle. Something I don't want to do obviously!! So I was hoping that the border officials let me through or otherwise my backup plan was putting the bike on a truck and transport it into Lao. Please Thailand - let me pass! :))

Good morning Internet, it is quarter past seven in the morning and welcome to my channel
So today is the last riding day in Myanmar. We're gonna cross the border to Thailand
The thing is that officially in Thailand you also need an escort and you're not allowed to ride a vehicle on your own
Which doesn't make any sense for Myanmar. Okay, that's a country which is very strict
I can understand it, but Thailand where half the world is riding around motorbikes and doing all sorts of things
It doesn't make any sense
but apparently the border crossing we're using
the officials there will let you pass without having an escort on the other side and
ride again guided through Thailand. If it doesn't work, I'm gonna have to put my bike on a truck and ride to Laos
Let's see if it's gonna work
It's only three hours ride to the border and if I manage to pass I'm gonna ride to Chiang Rai
So I'm still at the Thai border
Extremely chaotic here
I had to run from this office to that office and then make copies here and fill out a form there and then go to
that place and then run back to the other place and then they want to have my Carnet and then
They're very confused about who's the owner of my bike
And anyway, it looks like it is going to be okay and they're gonna let us all through without a guide
So we're just waiting now to get all the Carnet stamps signed
And then it looks like we we can go ride because we already passed immigration
Immigration gave me 30 days. So that's good. I have 30 days to Thailand

Let's go into Thailand
So we made it all across the border into Thailand without any escort through Thailand
So that is awesome news. I can ride independently through Thailand. The only surprise I got is that
They stamped my Carnet and gave me a limit. So my Carnet is only valid in Thailand for 30 days
So that's a bit of a bummer because I was hoping to stay a bit longer in Thailand. So
It's gonna speed up my riding a little bit. I thought I'm gonna
Take it easy and relax a little bit in Thailand, but it seems like I got a lot of riding ahead
