Found Train Set in a Forgotten Abandoned Time Capsule House

[Music] located in the muskoka region of ontario canada this long abandoned house sits boarded up along a remote ontario highway one day in 2020 an explorer from north bay ontario named chad gray and his friend stumbled upon this house curious they pulled over and headed inside with no idea what they were about to find as i entered the home i was hit with the familiar blast of abandoned house air with an asian themed tiki bar a fully intact living room kitchen bedrooms and more the biggest surprise sits in a small room in the basement where the german man who lived here had spent several years building a custom toy train set in an austrian alps setting join me as i explore the abandoned train set time capsule house [Music] [Music] so [Music] okay what's up guys and welcome back to another freakography abandoned time capsule house adventure so the first time i ever saw this abandoned house was on the feed of a girl named amid the abandoned and she's been following me for a while and i've been following her and she's been putting out some really cool places i put some feelers out there to see who i know who might know this place friend of mine who goes by the name so sincere on instagram he knew of it uh he has actually been here long before fully intact abandoned time capsule house and in the basement one of the coolest things i've ever seen a beautiful toy train set okay we are going to start in the first room that i just happened to be in and that's this side room here and there's a uh i forget what the name of this piano is i somebody told me once this type of piano sorry i can't remember the exact type of piano but that that is i'm sure some of you guys will correct me and fill me in in the comments down below so as you can see all of the windows through the house are boarded up so there's boards right there a little bit of light coming through uh the top of the boards but the whole house is dark so i am going to turn my light up because it is so dark in here there we go now look at the butterflies on the wall here from there right there head on over here there's one right there just chilling pinned on the wall and then right there so many interesting features in this house to see guys we're not gonna see it all because there's just too much it has that perfect abandoned house smell that there hasn't been anyone in here in such a long time change the antenna vhs tape rewinder or is that a uh well that's just a tape player yeah that's just a tape player cassette player very few houses guys are this good and just intact with this much interesting stuff left behind let's see what we got here neon war windows then warwick here 100 classics world famous the ogs chicago greatest hits [Music] dr chivago a hand coming some good stuff here guys got some got some solid gold vinyl in this house who's this oh diana ross glenn miller orchestra christmas cards tijuana stuff all right christmas books or christmas music oh there it is michael jackson thriller original pressing i had this open it up you got the tiger inside if it'll open [Applause] there you go second time i found one of these guys in an abandoned house original pressing of michael jackson thriller written with michael jackson's handwriting on the back that's a rare one guys oh i had this too the jackson five reunion album from the 80s yeah i had this stance what's the song can you feel it okay shake your booty [Music] [Music] [Music] okay so here we are guys the front door is right here there's a hat hanging on the wall and i wonder if we have power no we don't have power guys doesn't look like it no so we're in the front main hallway and as we come over here you can see the um closet is full of coats and clothes and you hit up top here and you've got some old sleeping bags very old sleeping bags up top there we will take a deeper look inside there a little bit later and then there's a very interesting feature that greets you when you come inside in this night medieval knight light fixture medieval knight he has a sword and everything that is crazy okay let's move on to some of these bedrooms here this is an auction this is actually an office big saw puzzles a whole bunch of books down here harlequin presents harlequin books there's two three four boxes at least full of harlequin books closet will open more books in the closet a lot of some photo albums there i'll have to take a look at those in a bit and then too other bedrooms on this side then we go down to a basement and then there's another side of the house that is basically like an apartment here's a bathroom some slides [Applause] let's see two bedrooms in the end of the hallway we'll go left first wigs there's three wigs so far i see there's a wig on the floor there and then there's a wig on each bed post right there another one there nice room bed still made clothes in the closet and then here's this other bedroom here a little bit messier in the bed nothing in there now if i'm going too fast guys don't you worry like i said right now we're just going to take a quick walk through i will be doing a pan of each room a little bit later as well as the detail stuff so don't you worry if i'm going too fast for it i wonder if this tease any good still vinegar strawberry cow strawberry syrup spice rack not opening the fridge maybe before i leave i will okay let's take a walk downstairs and check out the basement the other side of the house then we're gonna go check out the train set room and then we're gonna slow things down okay so let's go ahead downstairs there is an interesting bar down here too so before we go show you guys this thing on the wall some kind of a dragon or something there's a table there it's this thing [Music] very old moldy desk oh there's another painting on the wall huh okay so here's the bar it's kind of like a tiki bar but there's not much tiki left of the tiki bar fireplace there's a few fireplaces in the house and there's a bunch of pickled things in there pickled peaches maybe pickled something or other i don't know interesting guys there's so much to see in here got it we gotta come back and look at the details guys make sure you stick around for this whole video because there is gonna be so much to see look at this fridge wow loving this mural all around the walls here i'm going to be here for quite a while guys okay now we move on to the other part of the house we will do the basement first it's pretty moldy down here so i don't want to spend too much time down here but we will just do a quick walkthrough so you guys can see what's going on there's not much to see down here there's the well one more [Applause] and workshops got a small table old table saw not much going on in here this place has so many rooms [Applause] wow here's papa's workshop okay so you know what guys since we're here this is where the uh train setting is we'll take a quick look at the train set then we're gonna go through the other part of the house and we're going to come down here and look in this room in much much more detail because this room is awesome [Applause] wow just look at the detail and all the stuff that this guy had this would have been so awesome fully intact and still working this little car right here wow so much work must have gone into building this over the years here's this control panel right here he even had like mountain bavarian mountain settings on the wall wow this is so impressive oh man little airplane cars i can't wait to come back in here and play and then here's all of his parts christmas lights i wonder if he changed the seasons when he was playing with this train set okay i'm going to turn around and get a nice wide shot of this room again guys you do not want to leave this video you want to stay tuned to see all of this stuff in more specific detail [Music] [Music] [Music] water feature here and there's a hose up there so this is just one simple room and then there's just another bathroom here so whatever they would have been doing there used to be a door right here this used to go to the other side you can see on the other side that it's been blocked off there as well so okay guys so now that we've seen we've walked through the whole house so now what i'll do is i'll just do panning shots of each room slow panning shots left to right right to left up and down whatever then i'm gonna show some detail i may talk over it i may not i'm probably just gonna play some music so let's now enjoy this house in a bit more detail i'll run a bit of music and you guys can just hang out and watch because there's still so much more to see in this house guys so let's go check it out [Music] the owner of this home was a german-american man who moved to ontario canada with his young wife the man was a high school teacher teaching grades 11 and 12 at a local high school as a personal project he was building a separate self-sufficient home right next door he had his students build a scale model of the home which is still there today [Music] one day this man suffered a heart attack while working on the unfinished house and died shortly after [Music] his wife didn't want anything to do with the project and she didn't care to find someone to finish his view of the unfinished house this woman packed her belongings and went back to her home country leaving this home abandoned and full of her husband's belongings and his passion project next door forever incomplete [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] wow guys can i just say what an awesome explorer this has been houses like this are so few and far in between that when i get to explore a location like this i want to take my time i'm in no hurry i want to leave like no stone unturned and guys this house has just been amazing i don't know who discovered it i don't know where it first came from but i do have to say thank you so much for amid the abandoned for
