Exploring a Classic Victorian Mansion

this historic old home is one of the most familiar landmarks in its town originally built of logs and rebuilt after a fire the Hambly house was built in 1885 by Charles Hanley postmaster and store owner its exuberant high Victorian style has long made at a local landmark looking closely at the roof the shutters the victorian gothic architectural style the remarkable wood and metal trim work however looking close up many of the prized historical features are slipping into disrepair and ruin this home and surrounding property are now a part of a potential development proposal which will see a mixed-use development on the 1.8 Acre property [Music] all right now I really don't know much of anything about this house guys I'm gonna turn my lights a little bit higher here it's a super old Victorian home I'm sure it's been used by very many businesses over the years and different types of companies and organizations it was obviously at one point someone's home but now it's it's unwanted unused I think this just goes outside oh this probably goes oh cool all right we're gonna go up there a little bit later so this house has been unwanted unused and I am just perplexed here guys at what's going on with this place because it's a beautiful piece of property beautiful piece of real estate right on the corner of a busy intersection and it's vacant empty what is up guys what's here is that the basement can't get in here guys that's probably stuck I'll have to give that a little bit more elbow grease a little bit later on so guys again I'm kind of going fast and furious here because I don't know what's going on with this place I'm very confused got a ceiling fan there little fancy video work and you got a a door there a little bit of stained glass on the window there all right so here's your front door super weird you come in the front door and then you're like boom there's the wall so I wonder if it has lights let's see the lights working guys no we have no power guys the lights don't work the very small bathroom here another room what would have been a living room I'm guessing yeah so let's just continue the tour guys let's head up the stairs here nice railing very nice check it out now there is an upstairs to the upstairs but I haven't found it yet I'm hoping it's that staircase that I found down there whoa look at this guy's the windows the shutters wow that's nice loving it guys loving it all look what we got here what is up guys what is up guys a little bit little screens room here hang your coats [Music] and then there's a sink very strange guys very strange it's like we got a Christmas decoration in the window there your Grail lights up on the ceiling okay moving on guys here's the bathroom here simple little bathtub very small toilet you guys say it hope you guys said it out loud yep still still no power anywhere guys it's another room here every every room at the front of the house has these sort of bay windows very nice very nice stuff guys and I believe the last person who owned this place was some kind of an accounting firm maybe or some kind of a business I don't know definitely wasn't used as a house and it's last its last owners it's another room once again weird rail lights on the ceiling and then here's where things get bad guys take a look up here got some water damage and you got your ceiling falling right to the floor and here you got some shutters that have blasted off in the wind right there not good guys not good now what is this another weird little closet here these closets are weird guys hey look at a little skinny this closet is I love the windows though guys love in the windows loving the charm light fixtures are nice wallpaper interesting window to the bathroom toilet and then again guys here's your staircase so that staircase that I found downstairs doesn't go anywhere up here so we're gonna have to go in check it out and it definitely will likely go up to the upper level so again I apologize that the house is a little bit empty not really much to see but it is a very interesting place if you ask me guys I have burrs all over me from the last house that I went in and I keep picking burrs off my arm and I have one on the on the bottom of my coat that keeps going down my pants so I keep pulling a little burrs out of my pants guys Ichi all right let's go to that staircase that we saw and see where it takes us right here guys the secret staircase ready here we go oh it's tight guys oh no it doesn't go anywhere guys look oh man it doesn't go anywhere this is so stupid I want to go up there guys there's another level to the house that I can't get to son of a huh well hey guys but that's it you say huh there's your doorbell right there okay well that's it guys that's it no attic I will show you the outside because cares Gatorade down okay guys here's what I'm gonna do then cuz I'm hoping to be able to get some history so you put out four voiceover so what I'll do is I'll do a very slow walkthrough I'll play some music and some voiceover if there's no voiceover it's because I couldn't find any history on the house so I'm gonna turn the camera around I'm gonna play some nice music we're just gonna take a nice slow walk just around the main floor here okay so I'm gonna shut up now here we go [Music] look right here guys this is my video setup I have a
