Roof Trusses & Corrugated Iron Roof Installed - STAGE 2 | Building House In The Philippines

so they've uh built the two roof trusses they've got two more to build which are the joining trusses but uh that's looking good that's going to go up on the roof [Music] [Music] i've just got home from a delivery of well some charcoal for our own use and some feed for the goats and a heap of hollow blocks there's another 80 hollow blocks there that's uh to finish off the kitchen over here we got home and here's the boys putting up the first of the two roof trusses so that's [Music] nice we got six of them here getting it in place seven actually got seven on the job this [Music] Hello black Martin [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] another [Music] two ends up this ends up nice well done the other one straight away now there's more preparation on that [Music] well that didn't take long i turned it back for a minute and the second one's up straight away here we go second of the roof trusses then we'll have two more and then of course we'll buy the the Santa Clara plywood for the rest of the floor buy those sheets we'll get that one done then we'll add our second floor and then they'll do the uh the edging same as this this one's going to be quite a bit simpler um the immaculate along this side couple of windows not sure yet where the inside wall will go because we've got a nice view out there we're going to wait till we get the second floor up and see what the views like that way not a great view today cuz there's a lot of cloud but Mount Matum is out there and that's a nice view so we're going to see what that looks like from up here and whether or not we do the rooms right across we probably do the rooms in full size it gives two 3 and 1/2 m squared rooms and a big brand at the front so we'll wait and see when that once they get that up get the floor in then we can get up there and see what it's actually going to look like they'll make a decision on the size of the room the second room [Music] so the boys are doing a great job up there today we got two of them up there with welding and they've got looks like their aim is to get all the pland on this afternoon i think they're going to do it looks like they're just about done actually so they've just done the third load of uh sand and hollow blocks today and uh they'll probably do the other last one on Monday at only 200 we stuck by yourself he's what oh have a snack yeah have your snack so we've got plenty of sand again which is good we still got gravel and we got more Hello Blocks so they've just had their snack so um the boys are ready boys are ready for next week now to um to continue on start on Monday um so these here will be for the uh rods to go across diagonally with the turnbuckles um to support up the top there just have a look in um what got done this past week so they built all the walls now except for this one they've had that one in to get the steel work in i think they'll probably leave that for a little while they've still got a couple of to go across here so there's two four to match these so the inside ones in there uh one two three four so they need to go in yet um they've looks like they finished the pland got completed on Friday so that's basically the frame now of the roof um they've started they've started putting the uh the two N1s on there see there [Music] continues through there but yeah we've had the the windows done i'm not really sure this one got done i thought we were going to do them at the same height as the kitchen do the bench the same height that's what I had asked i'm not sure why that one's been done a bit higher probably won't matter and we can probably match that i think it was that one we're going to do higher but we've ended up with that one as well anyway I don't think it's going to be an issue we'll end up with a sliding door in there glass slider I think um connecting to our uh car garage this here is going to be a pantry so we've put uh 10 of the little um clear bricks clear glass bricks in that should give some light into the pantry there without needing to have the light on um this wall here we're we're thinking of probably putting the fridge here uh going into the pantry so I'll have the door here shelving around the sides plenty of storage in there the boys have started to put some of the uh soil from outside that was dug out from here it's all sitting out here hopefully a lot of that will fill this up hopefully it won't need to buy much top soil or much fill in hopefully so I dare say that next week um this will come out now they'll probably put up do the two they haven't built them yet so there's two more trusses i don't think I don't see them there no they've been busy welding up there so they got to build these two smaller trusses across here i'm not sure whether I need to leave this frame up or not for that but maybe that can all come out get the roof on floor in then we can do the floors here so I think we've got enough material now to do all that which is good now we need more brick even though this has been done except for this one so we need the hollow block for that um but also there's a retaining wall out here to do that will be the continuation of that sort of foot path or walkway at the back and then we also need to continue the back down here for the dirty kitchen outside there as well continue this pathway around next to the house and that will that will slope down to allow any water there to to get away from the house so we won't have any water coming into the top here be similar to that so this has been dug out last week uh and the gravel's been put in there ready this just needs to be poured concrete now while it needs to rio in first and then we can we can do that so pretty keen to do that too before we get any big rains because we don't want water getting down um next to the foundations if we can help it and that once this is done that'll take care of that and obviously the same here i'd like to do that fairly soon after this time not wait for too long so it's uh Wednesday afternoon got home from uh organizing our latest delivery in which will hopefully come Friday and that will be roofing iron for our roof for the remainder of the roof roofing iron for the remainder of the dirty kitchen here um some other We were short on some of the things here to make the stairs to be over here i notice here that they've been doing this today reinforcing here for concrete to make a uh for the kitchen bench so I don't know how that's going to work with the sink actually guess we'll have to get our sink that's a big hunk of uh Rio bar in the way there that's good to know better remind you about that one so it's interesting the the way they're doing it here i guess I'm not against having a concrete
