hey what's up my name is lucas i'm a photographer and filmmaker based out of west michigan welcome to my channel today i've got a quick video for you talking about the update for the leica sl2 and the sl2s camera a few months ago i made a video talking about how leica broke the sl2 and sl2s with their firmware update by not allowing you to zoom with this back button but now they fixed it so i figured i would bring that up and make a follow-up video talking about how they fixed it in firmware update 6.1.0 so if you want to do the firmware update there's a couple different ways that you can do that you can either download the file on your computer put on an sd card and put it into the card or you can use the leica photo app and update it that way now as a reminder it does reset your camera so save your user profiles or if you forget to and you like the way that i set up my cameras you can download my user profiles down below i'll have that available for you for free in the description so to download with your sd card just go to the leica sl2 downloads scroll down sl2 firmware 6.1.0 and click download once it's downloaded take out your sd card put it in your computer and just drag that file right onto the card once you do that you can eject put the sd card back in your camera and then menu on the last page camera information firmware update and start update and if you want to do it via the leica photos app that is super simple as well just open the leica photos app and then it'll say update available connect your camera to the leica photos app and then press start update and then to reinstall your user profiles just navigate to the user profiles tab go all the way down manage profiles and then import profiles just put the user profiles download onto your sd card and then it'll automatically import all of the user profiles well thank you so much for watching if you found this helpful please like and subscribe if you have any questions or comments leave them down below and i will see you in the next video
