SPRING WEEKEND New Puppy, Baking & Utility Room Tour VLOG

Good morning, guys. How are we all doing? I hope you're all doing well. I feel like I always start my vlog up here because whenever I'm starting a vlog, I keep this is like my filming room, wardrobe, room, whatever. I've got my drawers here. And in here, I keep my camera equipment and stuff. So, whenever I'm starting a vlog, I'm like, I get come up here anyway, change the battery, get a new camera, and then I'm like, I just start it here. So, we're back again. Hello, guys. Um, I thought I'd pick up the camera today. I'm actually heading over to Tom's sisters now. We're going to go have a bit of a family brunch together. She's got a new puppy, which is very exciting. So, I'm going to take Barney to meet Benji and just have a bit of family time. And then on route home afterwards, I might pop into the shops, but also I might when I get home bake a banana bread. And so, it's just one of those days. I thought, you know what? I'll pick up the camera, start the vlog, see where the day takes us. Might end up vlogging over a few days if I don't get enough footage today. But here we are. Welcome back to today's video. I'm wearing today just very casually heading to the fam. I've just got on my Everane jeans and then both this t-shirt and this sweatshirt from Buck Mason which I got in my New York vlog if you saw that. A little necklace which I always wear from Anna Louisa. And that's it. Very simple, easy. I'm going to take my Unilo cross body bag and wear my Birkenstock sandals. It is quite warm, so I'll probably take this jumper off, but I thought I'd just have it just as a layer in case I need it. But yeah, that's my outfit for the day. That's my plans for today. Barney getting jealous. Yes, you're cute, too. Yes. So, find it. I make mistakes. I just want to feel alive. It's just what we do. May have had a little cheeky McDonald's on route home. I just went for I was craving something um like the one of the milkshakes. Sorry, I'm just looking for a makeshift tripod for you. Well, our new family member is incredibly cute. Isn't he Barney? Little Benji. I um am back home and straight into some joggers. I feel like because we've ended up spending a lot longer there than I thought because we've literally just been sat in the sun. I know I don't look like I've been sat in the sun, but again, unless if I've got fake tan on, I just look pale regardless of whether or not I've been sat in the sun. But yeah, it's been so lovely just sat outside enjoying the sunshine whilst we've got it cuz I think tomorrow's forecast rain so we might have a bit of a rainy day at home. So I might even make the banana bread tomorrow if we are chilling inside. I feel like tomorrow is the day to do it. Plus we've got Easter egg chocolates we can munch on today. But yeah, I was craving a milkshake on route home. So I grabbed a milkshake and I also went for those little cheesy garlic bites. You only get like four in a pack but just to nibble on for the drive home. So, we are back and um I I don't really know what I want to do for the rest of the day. It's already quart 5 now. I am half contemplating. I don't know if this is a task that I'm going to regret starting, but tackling those two kitchen cupboards. If you saw my kitchen tour and a bit of a sort out cleaning video, organization video, you will have seen that I didn't get round to I did everything apart from this end cupboard here. This uh yeah, these two, which are by far the most chaotic and most unorganized cupboards of the entire kitchen. So, I've done the rest of the kitchen, but that one and the pantry is all done. Done done that in a previous video. So, I'm thinking about maybe just tackling that this afternoon. Maybe quick firing through it for an hour or two, maybe a power hour. Just try and get it done. I want to empty the entire contents onto the island, clean the cupboard, and then start putting back things that I like and putting in a pile of things that I don't. And then I can maybe even take them to the tip tomorrow. When I say the tip, our tip has a donation bank. So quite often brick or brack if I've got a lot to donate, I will take it to there and then they just divvy it between charities or I think they've got a a shop themselves actually. Um or sometimes I do a charity shop run as well. We started watching this morning. I'm not going to put it on in the background. In fact, I will pop on in the background maths, which I've started, and I'm only an episode in, but I feel like I can see why people talk about the Australian version being a bit more dramatic. So, I'll have that one in the background. But, no, we started this morning watching on Disney Plus something called, is it the stolen girl or something like that? a uh TV show about it's like a a drama for I'm sure a lot of you might have seen it advertised but essentially a couple who have a daughter. The mom went to pick her up from school and she met a new mom who also had a daughter her same age and said, "Can I go for a play date?" And she said, "Yeah, no worries." when she went to pick her up, essentially it was a um like an Airbnb and the family that had stayed there had gone. So, she has no idea where her daughter is. And an episode in and we're already that's like pretty much the first episode, like character building and story building. So, now I'm like I want to know who it is and what happened. I feel like I it it could be quite predictable, but we'll see. I'm sure there's going to be a good twist or turn somewhere. I hope it's anyway because that's my favorite kind of TV show. Anything with a twist and a turn at the end. If I can't predict an outcome, I'm the same with a book. If I read like the Freedom McF, but I've never actually fully predicted the ending. And I think that's why I like them so much cuz the bigger the twist, the better in my opinion. Sometimes I'll read a book and my mind can go so far that I'll think, "Oh, could that be the twist?" thought, "Oh, could it be that person?" And then when I get to the ending, I'm like, "Oh, is that it?" I like anything, TV or book, I need to not predict the ending and then I'm happy. But yeah, I'm feeling pretty tired, so I feel like we might just have a quick power hour of doing that and then chill out for the rest of this afternoon. For now, let's tackle the seasonal cupboard. And remember, no judgment here on this channel, please guys. It's not that I any of you would, but it's crammed full. That's how it feels anyway. You know, like the sort of cupboard or drawer that you open just hoping that nothing falls on you. Tupperware included. Tupperware is in that drawer. Uh that cupboard as well. So, fingers crossed nothing will fall on me. Let's get my hair up and let's crack on. Oh my goodness. Look at those top like two especially two or three. all seasonal and they've kind of all jumbled into one. There's Christmas bits in there, autumn bits in there, spring, summer, Valentine's, even a couple of candles. See, these don't belong in here. These can go downstairs in my uh candle cupboard, which I've got in the utility room. Tupperware, miscellaneous. Do you know what? I didn't even realize I had some of these Lacru bits. They can go in another drawer all together. So, we'll probably be able to create some a good amount of space in here. It's a lot cuz they're a bit more awkward to get at with the angle. I have things that I don't reach for necessarily every day sort of tucked away in there. This is like how the rest of my cupboards look at the moment with after having a bit of organizational sort out and clear out. See how much nicer and organized that is? Just less chaotic. There's a couple of bunny things on the shelves which I'm going to pop away. In terms of the flower stems and everything, obviously these I'll keep for um spring summer. These are from Neptune. These ones, these White Company little eggs are probably my favorite Easter decoration I have. This is my time now. I'm going to be myself or I can be else. I've just come down this morning. Totally forgotten that we're halfway through this madness. I will finish that today. What am I doing? Washing. I need to put some washing on. It's the next day. We I need to put on some washing today. In fact, I've just realized. What time eat tonight? Tonight. Tonight? I ain't got a clue. I haven't even had breakfast or lunch yet. What time do I want to eat tonight? What do you want to do? Like a main meal type thing. And then what are we having with the rest? I know, but that will determine what time I want to eat and what else I'm going to eat. There's carrots broccoli. Boring. No. Can we We just make something different like do mash or something. Oh, okay. Hi, Barney. Can you see him stood at the top of the stairs? Anyway, let's get this wash load on. I've got a few to do. A few wash loads to do today. We're having, as you can tell, a bit more of a strict back minimal, comfy, casual day. Today it is forecast rain all day which I'm kind of secretly happy about. Guys, I do love the sunshine that we've been having, but I just feel like it's kind of like a excuse to then have a lazy day, which I feel like we're very much in need of in this house. We've been doing lots of things here and there, socializing, golfing, cricketing, and I just want to have a sofa day quite honestly and just do absolutely nothing. I mean, we are going to be obviously taking the dog out, going for a little dog walk, but yeah, the fact that it is raining, it's kind of kind of good. We've got our new series to binge as well. our series with um what's it called? Stolen girl that I was started yesterday. And yeah, that's us for the day. I'm not even sure why I'm like carrying on the vlog to be honest with you. I guess I'll show you the aftermath of the cupboards once that's organized and popped away. And then at some point we can organize these cupboards. I'll show you what our utility is currently looking like. pop our wash load on mix cuz just you know it's standard and I always up the spin to help it dry quicker. Okay, so this is our utility as it currently stands. Pretty clean and simple. The only thing is this that I get from Costco, our fabric softener in this massive container. I suppose we could clear up some space maybe in one of the cupboards so that we can have that away so it doesn't have to sit on the side. But anyway, for now it's it's fine. We've got up here uh cleaning products. We've got more cleaning products, Zaflloras, uh dusters, you know the drill, everything pretty much in there. That's like the two cleaning cupboards really. Got some more cloths and bits and bobs in here. Um and my stockpile of my favorite washing up gloves cuz you guys know, I mean, this is quite a lot, but I just really like them. So, we've always got spare of those. some more like heavy duty cleaning products in there like oven prides, drain unblockers, things that I don't tend to go to in this very often. Under here, we've got Barney's towels, all the dog towels. And this is kind of his cupboard, but there's not much in it really. Just some grooming bits and bobs. This is a cupboard with some spare vasees and actually a lot of space. There's hardly anything in this cupboard. Just this little tin of gardening bits and bobs and supplies in there. And then this is my favorite cupboard, but again, probably could do with a bit of a clear out and organize, but it smells so good when you open this cupboard. It is my candle cupboard. My like, in fact, I was going to say wax melts, but I think I actually got rid of maybe I didn't. Have I still got some wax melts? Are they in there? Yeah, they are in there. So, I still have some wax melts and wax burners, but I just don't tend to reach for them that often anymore. Having said that, just looking at that basket there, especially this scent, you guys, if you remember from Asda, the cuddle up, it's almost giving a bit of nostalgia cuz it's been that long. Oh, yeah. Oh, it's so nice. It reminds me of like autumn time and cozy coziness. That's exactly what it smells like. Maybe it's about time I start using them again. But for now, I've got like everything in here like Christmas candles that I popped away that probably I could get out this time of the year. It's Bergmon cedar. I guess the cedar is a little bit Christmy. Maybe I will save it. But currently I have the Verde candle from the White Company upstairs. I always like to have a big candle, whether it's a botanical one or like the glass one. I always like to have one white company candle on the go in the kitchen. And that is the one I've currently got upstairs, Verde. And it smells lovely. We've also got this set, the Berg Mott and Cedar hand and nail gift set. Yeah, we've got some spare hand soaps and bits and bobs in there. This scent I need to stock up on from Daleesford. I got this as part of Well, this is a hand lotion. There's a hand soap in there as well. But this red diffuse that I got is now empty, which is also in the Bergmop scent. So, I want to see if they sell a refill that I can just refill that one cuz it smelt lovely. I've also got this box here which is full of um like red diffuser sticks. I've got some all my oils in there. Just loads of bits and bobs that again we could probably better organize and sort through. But I do love that cupboard. It's like a favorite little cupboard of mine. It kind of feels like my own little candle shop in here. That is my current utility. It's not too chaotic if I'm honest with you. The kitchen was the main thing. This is the chaotic room through here. the um storage room which is kind of in need of a sort out and clear out. It's not too bad. Just got like camping gear, suitcases, gift wrap, Christmas decorations, all of that jazz in here. Autumn decorations. Anyway, we're going to have a bit of breakfast this morning. We've got that wash load on. Wash load one of the day. Going to have some breakfast. head out for a rainy dog walk in a bit and then have a children. I'll show you. Are you doing the lamb on the open fire? People have been asking to see it in use or in the gny. I'll show you what we have for dinner later. Oh, he's got this pot of yogurt. Barney, what's that? Little enthusiasm, please. Come sit. What's the matter to get? He's very chilled this morning, isn't he? Okay. Oh, he doesn't want it. What's the matter? He's very chilled this morning. He's not his usual self. Maybe it was all that puppy excitement yesterday. You're going to have some of my homemade granola from the um the nutritionist cookbook. It lasts for a month as well, though. So, it's a bit softer, I noticed, cuz I had some yesterday. It's a bit softer this month. So, I feel like I will crisp it up a little bit longer in the oven next time. Or maybe even try it in the air fryer. Still got some of his chocolate Easter eggs to have. some like dog friendly chocolate Easter eggs, mini eggs. Very cute. And this is our Easter egg to share, which we haven't cracked into yet. We've got a couple of limp ones in here, but we've also got this one that Tommy bought us from Hotel Shakar. Extra thick egg. Feel like that one is going to be lovely. Nice little treat today. Got mint. Peppermint tea. It's just what I do when I'm out. So try not to hold me down. Feel alive when I'm in this town. Look at beautiful stars. break. And we're done with this cupboard for now. I would put their harder to reach shelves, i.e. the top two with like Christmas on the top, pumpkins and uh Halloween and autumn on this shelf. Then this one is like all kind of like summer hosting bits and bobs. There's some like lemons, florals, cake stands, champagne bucket. These kind of like outer serveware. I will put those in the outdoor kitchen though once the cupboard doors have been fitted on that cuz we'll just use these for out outdoor hosting. Um Tupperware on the bottom and then that means we've freed up an entire shelf in the middle. Hood up. Let's go. Rainy April showers dog walk. Feel alive when I'm in this town. This is me and has been me for the last couple of days actually because what the video you saw was filmed a few days ago. But yeah, the sun is back. We've had a glorious hammock has been out. We had some glorious weather. We've got a whole week of it as well. So, I'm very, very grateful for that. It's honestly just perfect. If it could stay like this for our entire summer, I'd be over the moon. It's just if it gets any hotter, that's when I struggle. But yeah, we've just been enjoying the sunshine. Got Barney here. He's absolutely loving. Just having the back doors open for him to just come and go as he pleases. Um, what else new to report? Nothing really much. Just having a pretty chilled one. Started a new book. Um, which I might talk about in my next vlog. I'll tell you what it's called cuz it's actually currently on sale. It's about 60% off. So, I'll tell you now. It's called Why Have I Never Heard of This Before? And I've had this book. No, sorry. I tell that lie. It's called Why Has No One Ever Told Me This Before? It was a Sunday Times bestseller. And it's kind of like a one of those motivational self-help type books that I've had in my cupboard for the longest time, and I've started it, and I can already tell I'm going to love it. It's just very easy reading. taken pen to paper. So, I've just been able to kind of scribble on it and treat it as a bit more of a journal as well. There are even some prompts throughout and it's a really reflective book that I would definitely recommend. So, like I said, with it being on sale now, I will leave it linked below where I found it on sale and we can maybe read it together and we can discuss it in a vlog soon. Um, and yeah, otherwise we're just enjoying some sunshine this afternoon. Tom's just cooking. We have had a busy work day today and just taking a little moment to appreciate the sunshine in the garden whilst we've got it. Yeah, that is us. That's a little update from me. This is also something we've been playing this afternoon. We had a little 10-minute session of badminton Zara home shot of course. Bought these last year and these black and white rackets from I think I've got them from Amazon. Again, I'll leave them linked. In fact, I think they're probably on my Amazon storefront. Um, Zara have actually, speaking of Zara, they've got I put in an order last night of some new clothes. So, I'll give you a haul once they all arrive, but they've got a whole load of new sports gear, like equipment for like home gyms, and it's the most aesthetic, gorgeous. Like, if we had downstairs converted into a home gym, I just want all Zara home bits. It's so nice. That's not the plan anytime soon anyway. Um, but yeah, they they weren't selling. It was almost like they put the photos to advertise what they were going to be selling, but haven't actually got the full collection on their website yet. So, anyway, I feel like you can't really see me properly with this cap on, but it's keeping the sun out my eyes and covering my greases hair, which I'm going to have a shower and hair wash this evening.
