The inspirations of this design was actually from a New York loft space.
All the furniture here can be easily moved around the space,
re-segmented by inhabitants to allow them to live in their own fruitful manner.
I'm Des Chu, an interior designer from 3D Concept World in Singapore.
This episode is brought to you by Odoo.
We've been using Odoo to create a webpage about the dogs in our NTS studio.
Odoo uses the power of AI to generate a custom website in four easy steps.
Images and text blocks will be automatically generated by AI based on the info you provide.
Odoo also has chat GPT so we can also get help writing bios for our dogs,
allowing us to transform our pre-written text to change the size and tone
or generate content using prompts.
That sounds like Poppy.
With the help of AI, it's easy to make a website using Odoo.
The first app is free forever with unlimited hosting and support.
It also includes a free custom domain for the first year.

This apartment is located in Bukit Batok, northwest of Singapore.
It is quiet with lots of greeneries.
The client is a social worker.
She loves to do some Chinese calligraphy as well as paintings.
The original apartment is a very simple one-bedroom layout.
As this was a new building, the kitchen and bathroom only has basic amenities.
There was a small hallway that leads to a kitchen and bathroom and also a shelter room.
The bedroom and living room were divided by a partial wall and sliding door.
The first thing we actually did was to remove the partition wall
so that we create a single multifunctional spaces.
A storage unit was added to the bedroom area and integrate with a murphy bed.
In the kitchen, we added carpentry on both sides.
The entrance of the apartment is quite compact.
There's actually an electrical distribution box that's hidden behind the door.
The bottom portion actually stores her shoes.
There's a folding door that closes the kitchen and the living hall space.
It helps to confine the aircon within the living hall.
At the end of the hallway is a shelter room.
Inside, the owner added some mobile rest for additional spaces.
The combined space in this apartment with its living,
dining and sleeping area is right at the end of the apartment.
There are two large windows here that bring lots of natural light.
The sofa usually sits in the middle of the room which is perfect when watching the TV.
It can be moved to the back of the apartment when a larger space is needed.
All the furniture here can be easily moved around the space
depending on how the owner wants it to be used.
There is a custom-made mobile table on wheels that functions as a dining table and workbench.
As a dining table, four people can sit comfortably
using stackable stools and positioning the table by the bench.
Below, this timber top houses the remote controls and keyboards.
When painting, the table can be moved to the middle of the room
so that all sides can be easily accessed.
Along the wall, a custom-integrated low storage bench
that houses the books and household items.
Floating shelves were added on the right-hand side of it.
The curved shape softened this area.
The same laminate was used throughout the whole apartment
to keep the colours used in a more consistent manner.
The whole apartment uses LED light strips
around the circumferences of the walls and the cabinets
and you can tune it to become white or warm-coloured doors.
The big storage houses a muffy bed on the left-hand side.
The top portion is a wardrobe space with a pull-down hanger.
There are shelvings just right beside
allowing her to charge her iPad and mobile phones.
To lift down the queen-size bed, it has a hydraulic system
that is in-built within the bed itself.
It actually helps the owner easily to lift up and to lift down.
Due to the structure of the windows
which is actually very close to the cabinet itself
we created a small little niche
to tuck in the curtains right inside the space.
The galley kitchen is by the entrance.
The countertop is made of quartz
which is easy to clean and maintain.
It has a very grey-toned concrete feeling of it
that matches the cabinet's colour tones very well.
Sliding doors below maintain a spacious walkway.
The owner rarely cooks
so the portable cooktop was chosen
so that she can store it away when not in use.
On the opposite side of the counter
there is a tall cabinet that houses the fridge and the washing machine.
Beside the fridge is a tall cabinet that houses the dry pantry.
In the bathroom, we added a shower and a vanity.
The water closet was already there.
This little window just above the water closet
allows air to flow in
and there is an IKEA vanity sink that we mounted.
In small spaces, creating various functions is very important.
It allows the inhabitants to shift things
to work in a more effective manner
regardless whether they are staying in a huge apartment or small apartment.
Thanks for watching.
