Friends, through this video today I will
teach you two types of wiring of electrical panel and the
wiring will be according to our logic.
As you can see here I have been given
a question, logic has been given
where it is being said that when
this water tank gets empty, the
pump should start automatically
and as soon as the water tank gets
full, in that condition our pump
should stop automatically. Now,
we will create this condition in two
ways. The first panel that we will
make will be on RLC, which means
we are going to make it using contractor timer relay sensor.
Second, in whatever condition there will be,
we are going to
make the complete electrical panel for this tank using PLC.
I will tell you the diagram here and
how to make it. Ok? So it is
said here that the
motor should turn off when the water tank is full and should
start when it is empty. Now here
one thing is being said that according to the level of water,
if you have to detect the level of water then
what will you use to detect it? Label sensor
or if you want
you can also use a float switch like this which is available.
So the simple way here would be to
use a float switch
because here we only have to turn it on and off.
If you also want to see
how much percentage of water is there then in this condition
you will need a level sensor.
But here we do not have to see
what the water level is. We just have to
see whether our water tank is
empty or full. Have to start it when it is empty. It has to be
closed when it is full. That's all the
work left to do. So for this we will use this type of
float switch. Now
if you look at the float switch,
you will see it like this
and inside the float switch,
you will see three wires inside this float switch and
one of the three wires will be our
common wire through which we have to
give incoming power supply. Meaning that
if I have to provide power supply to this float switch of mine then
I will provide the phase supply on its common wire.
Now if we provide fair supply on this common wire, then
its output power supply will be
available to us from two places. One is through ANO
contact here and the other is through NC contact here.
Now when we go to do wiring here,
we will have to think that
inside this float switch,
we are getting two contacts. Now
which of these two contacts should we
use? So look friends, here if
we want we can use NO
or we can also use NC. It
depends where you are using it.
If you want to use it for underground tank then
you may have to use ANO contact
and for overhead tank you may have to
use NC contact.
Ok? Now friends, here you will
think how do I know whether I have to
use Ano Contact or
NC here. So look, there is a simple way to do this.
You understand here that
if my water tank is empty then
what should I do in this condition? The motor has to be
started. So
if I want to start this motor of mine, then I will
have to give it power supply. And
when should the power supply go out? When the water tank is empty here, the
float switch will remain downwards like this when the water tank is empty. Let me
write this as float switch. So
if the float switch is on the downward side then the
power supply should go forward and after going forward the
power supply should directly go to our motor
and our motor should start here.
So here we come to know
that if the water tank is empty then the float
switch will remain down and if the float switch
remains down then we have to use the wire in which we will get the power supply
and
that wire is our NC wire here.
Now let's talk about Eno Contact.
Where will you use Eno Contact? So
you will have to use Eno Contact
for underground tank. As you might have
seen, in the underground tank,
when the water level in that tank is high, only then
we have to start the motor.
If the underground water tank is empty,
in that condition will we
take out the water from inside to outside? If we do not take it
out, then in this condition,
if the water in the tank here is full, then
in this condition, the floor
switch that we will install will hang upwards in this manner,
and if the floor switch is upwards,
then in this condition,
our ANO contact will get converted into NC.
When the float switch
is in the down position it will be NO. But as soon as the
float switch floats upwards in the water like this,
that contact will get
converted to NC. Meaning it will close
and by closing the power supply will proceed
further. Meaning, for underground tank,
we have to use Ano contact here.
So let me
write underground tank here.
And here
we have to use NC contact for the overhead tank.
So I wrote overhead tank here.
You should keep this in mind
whenever you go to connect a float switch.
Ok? Now here you have to
think about how to turn your water pump
on and off? If you want, you can
also switch it on and off directly using the float switch.
But if you
allow more current to flow through the float switch, then the possibility of current leakage in your float switch
increases and the chances of current flowing in the water will
increase. So it will be better
that you control the contractor directly through the float switch.
What is a contractor?
You must already know all these things. If you don't know, then
I have already made many of my previous videos. Please watch that video. I have
explained in full detail about the contractor,
what is a contractor? What is its A1 A2
terminal? What is our NO NC
contact? How does it work
? How does the change happen? What is a power terminal
? I have
already explained everything to you. You
should watch those videos.
I will provide the link to the video in the video description.
Ok? Now let us move forward. Now friends, if
I want a simple connection here, I
can tell you. Where you
can directly control our contactor through the floor switch. Like if you
want to make a connection here then I will tell you quickly.
In the next slide I will
tell you a little about it at an advanced level.
Like here we will create a complete proper panel.
Before making this, let me
explain the concept to you a little so that
your knowledge gets built in a good manner.
Ok? You will know a little about the basics.
So,
you will understand the slightly advanced things easily.
Ok? So here we have to control
this contactor and that too through a float
switch. So
we have to provide power supply to the float switch. Which power
supply? So it can be an AC power supply
, it can also be a DC power supply. There
is no problem. Here you just have to
see whether the contractor you are using here will
work on AC power supply or
on DC. If it works on AC power supply then
you can control it by giving AC to the floor switch
or if it works on DC then
you can connect the DC power supply here. It
depends on what
power supply your contractor requires to operate. So
here we need AC power supply. So
what do I do? There is MCB here.
Face supply to this MCB is given here. And by
taking out the phase supply from here
directly to the common terminal of the float switch, there will be
a common wire in it.
I will connect it in that.
I have connected it here. Now this float
switch will provide power supply at the output.
Now what did I say about the output power supply
? We have to use NC contact here.
So the NC wire of the float switch will be there,
for example, let us assume
that this is our NC wire. So we will
take this NC wire and
connect it to the A1 terminal here. So much work is
complete. What would a float switch be? It will
remain on the bottom side. So there will be current flow in this wire.
And if the float switch remains in upward direction then there will be no
power supply flow into it.
Now here the contractor
also needs a neutral supply to operate.
So for this, we will
take a neutral supply here and by taking the neutral supply
directly from here, we will
give the neutral supply to our contractor.
Just make the connection this way.
Connection complete. This is a very simple
starter. Ok? This is not a starter.
After this I will tell you about the advanced one.
But at the present time, understand that if you
want to turn on and off the contractor directly using the float switch, then
you simply make the connection in this manner
and your starter will be ready and will
start working. what will happen here?
If the float switch comes down the contactor is
on. The motor will start once the contactor is turned on.
Now friends, here we will understand a little
advanced. At this time I
told you that we are switching the contactor
on and off directly through the float switch.
But if you
go to make an electrical panel, will you say this?
no way. You have to create it
using the proper start button and stop button there.
So to make this,
you will have to use a relay here.
And what is a relay? You must
already know this. It is a very simple
electrical device which is
used everywhere. And if you
are an electrician electrical engineer then
you must know about it.
And I will not tell you about it in this video right now.
If you don't
know, the video has already been made.
I will also give the link to that video
in the description of the video. Or
you can directly watch this video by clicking on the 'I' button here.
From there you will know everything. I
will tell you in this video. So the
length of the video will increase a lot. I do
n't want that. I want to tell you the whole concept.
That's why let's skip this thing.
Simply, at this time you should understand
that to operate this relay,
there are two terminals named A1 and A2.
Well, A1 does not become A2. There is
terminal number 134.
We have to provide power supply to that terminal. So our
relay gets turned on and
due to the relay getting turned on there is NO NC contact here.
That NO NC contact of ours gets changed.
Just have to understand this much. It is
just like a contractor. But contractor is
used for heavy load and
relay is used to allow low current to flow in the control circuit.
Ok
? Now friends, if I go to the next page,
here a poster comes in front of us
where it is being said that there is going to be

also given there.
You can also download the app from there. Now let us
understand here that
how will we
design the complete panel for our water tank in a proper manner.
How to wire the panel. So
see friends, here I have simply
used a start button and a stop button.
This is my start button. This
is my stop push button. The contractor will not start when the start push button is
pressed.
My relay will start here.
My circuit will
remain in on condition once the relay is turned on. Then here I have my floor
switch, this floor switch here will turn it on and
off. Why do we have to use relay here
? Because I have to
keep the circuit running here. Suppose
I don't have to start the motor here anymore.
What will happen if I keep the MCB on here? This float switch will keep turning my motor on and
off. But if I want to
close it permanently then I will
press the stop button here. The
whole motor is off it will not start. But
what's the first thing I need to do when I turn it on
? I will start this by pressing the start push button.
After switching it on, the
float switch here is on the bottom side,
so it will start the motor. If it is on the top then it will
keep the motor in burn condition. Ok? Now see, wiring has to be done here,
so what will you do for wiring
? Here we have a phase supply,
first of all we will connect this phase supply to the MCB.
Then we will have to take the power supply from the MCB and
connect it to the stop push button.
Now power will be supplied from the stop push button to the
start push button. Then
when we press the start push button, the
power supply should directly
go to terminal number 13 of this relay to turn it on.
I have written terminal number 13 as A1 here.
But here you please
understand that this is my terminal number 13
and this is my terminal number 14.
You should proceed with this understanding. Ok? So I
got my face supply from here. Now to operate this relay,
neutral supply is also
required. So for neutral supply, I
take the neutral wire here and connect it
directly with the MCB here.
Then the neutral supply from the MCB will
come out from here. Okay, let me do one thing. Let
me delete this a little bit.
And I will remove this also from here.
And I do one more thing.
I will connect the neutral supply here. And
taking this neutral supply directly
from here, it was connected to this terminal.
I'm making a change here so that there isn't a little wire overlap.
Connected the face supply here
and took it and connected it here.
Ok? Now what will happen with so much wiring
? When I press the start push button here.
This relay will
turn on and turn off when it is released.
Why would it stop? Because here
power supply is required to hold the relay. And
what will happen when you press this start push button? The power supply will go ahead from here.
But what will happen once it is released?
Power supply will not flow from here. Meaning
that the power supply will only last till here. Ca
n't go beyond this. Because of which there will be
no power supply. Because of which it will
stop. So here we will have to do something such
that if we press this start push button
once, then it will remain on.
So for this we will have to
take a wire here. The wire which we will have will be
connected to the output of the stop push button
from here. And this wire will have to be looped from here and
connected to this common terminal.
Now the wire of this common terminal will be
our switch on NO and NC. So here
we have to use Ano Contact.
When it is switched on,
power supply will start going to the ano contact from here.
So we will
use Ano Contact here. So by
looping a wire through the N contact, we will
connect it to the A1 terminal here. Meaning, here we have
created a holding circuit. What happened with this?
Press the start push button. Power
supply goes here. This relay got activated and
due to its activation the power supply went from here to here
and it looped and reached this point.
Meaning that this relay will remain on.
Now through this relay we have to
provide power to the float switch here. Then the
conductor has to be switched on. So
what will we do for this here? We'll take a wire here.
So I take blue colored wire to
connect it. Now
what should I do here? This wire which is connected here,
I will loop a wire from this wire on the anno contact and taking it, I will
connect it with the common wire of the float switch.
Then I will
take one wire from the NC contact wire of the float switch.
A wire is coming out from here. This
is our NC wire. And I will take this wire
directly and connect it to the A1 terminal.
Now to operate this it
requires neutral supply. So I will
remove the neutral supply from here and take it and
connect it directly to the A2 terminal. That's the only
connection we need to make to
create a starter. As you will
see here, if I do
not press the start push button at this time and do
not turn it on, then in this condition this float
switch will not be able to turn on or off this contractor.
If I want this
float switch to turn our contractor
on and off, then for this, first I will have to
turn on the relay by pressing the start push button. If the relay gets activated then this
float switch will get power. And
what happens if I put the float switch down
? The contractor is on and when it is raised the
contractor is off. The float switch was lowered and the
contractor started. When this is raised the
contactor closes. In this way it will keep turning on and
off continuously.
Unless we turn off this relay by pressing the stop push button here.
Here the float switch will
stop switching our conductor on and off once the relay is turned off.
And if the contractor is off then the motor is
off, if the contractor is on then the motor is on. So
this is how we can do the wiring here.
Now friends, let us talk about how
we would make this starter if we want to make it through PLC
? So see, for this
I have made a diagram for PLC here.
I have made a simple diagram.
I will explain its wiring to you.
By the way, I will explain the diagram of PLC to
you in a
good manner in the PLC class.
Our class is going to start from tomorrow.
If the class has already started.
So if you want, you can
also watch the recording of this class.
You can learn through recordings. Ok? So friends, here
you will see that I have a PLC.
I have already made a video of wiring of PLC.
Where I explained in full detail
how the wiring of PLC is done. At
this time I will
explain it to you quickly. So look,
here is my PLC,
if I want to start this PLC, then to start it,
first of all it will have to be given auxiliary power supply
and its auxiliary power supply will be
given at this place here. How did
I know that I have to provide auxiliary power
supply here. So simply you understand that on this
terminal of this PLC,
there is an earthing symbol on this terminal.
Wherever you see the earthing symbol,
understand that you have to provide
alloy power supply there.
What is meant by auxiliary power supply? We have to provide the
power supply to keep your device on.
Ok? So
let us now start wiring the PLC.
Look here I have a
PLC. In this PLC you will see a
24 volt terminal here. So on this
we have to provide power supply, DC power
supply which will be our 24 volt DC power
supply. So what do I do here
? Let me write 24 volts DC. Now here, I have to
bring my positive power supply and connect
it with this 24 volt terminal.
After this we have to
take negative power supply here. So here
is the negative power supply. We will bring it
and connect it to the zero volt terminal here.
Apart from this, there is an earthing terminal here,
we have to connect the earthing on it.
So here I made reverse earthing
and through this I took the power supply and
connected it here. That means
we have provided auxiliary power supply to this PLC.
Now
what will happen if auxiliary power supply is provided to PLC?
Our PLC will start and we
can program it if we want and
after programming, the PLC needs an
input signal through which it will know
what work it has to do. So
I have
a float switch here to give the signal. I have to connect this float switch
here. So
in the float switch, I told you that you are going to
get a total of three wires here. One will be
Common, one will be NO and the other one will be
NC here. So we have to use these three wires.
Now,
in this PLC, if you want, you can also use NO. You
can also use NC.
No problem. You will
only have to make changes in programming. In most of the conditions
we use NO or if
you want you can also use NC.
Ok?
I will do it according to the old circuit. So
here we will use NC only.
Which we used in the previous circuit.
So what do I need to do to wire this
? Here our float switch will need to be
given power supply. And
which power supply will go here? DC power
supply because here in the input terminal
we have to give DC power supply.
Now how will we know whether
we have to connect DC or AC on this input terminal,
this will have to be explained a little
in detail.
I will explain it properly in my PLC class. At
present,
you should understand that in most of the conditions,
PLC has DC connection.
So for this we will use DC power supply.
So for that we have to
use DC power supply.
Now if I
take the power supply from here to this place using the DC power supply, the
wiring will look a little dirty. So let me do one
thing. Here there is a DC power supply
where the positive power supply is there, I
took a wire from that positive power supply
and provided power supply to this float switch.
I gave it input power
supply. What is the input power supply
given in? So you can simply understand that
I have given the input power supply in the common wire here.
Now for the output wire of this float switch
, I use the purple colored
wire. Took
out the output from here through this wire and brought it here and
connected it with x0. Now this
wire, which wire will be ours
? This could be our NO or
NC. Right now I
told you that I want to use NC here.
So I wrote NC here. Now
see here, I told you that
in our starter,
we have to use the start stop push button also.
So we will have to do its wiring here also.
So to wire it
I do one thing. Let me remove
a little of the marking that I have done here
so that we get space.
Now look here I create a start button.
Now I have to supply power to this start push button.
So the power supply
here which is coming in the input is the
positive power supply of the 24 volt DC power supply, by
looping a wire through the positive power supply,
positive power supply will have to be given here also.
Then the signal from this push button will
go to the x1 terminal. If I want, I can connect this
wire anywhere like x2, x3, x4, x5. There will
be no problem. But right now I am
using X1. Now in addition to this I will
also have a stop push button here. So
I will create the stop push button here.
This became my stop push button. It needs to be
given power supply. So
we can provide the power supply by looping it from here,
like this. Now the power supply that will come from this will
go directly to this terminal. This means that the
signal going to all input terminals is 24 volts.
And apart from this here you will see there is S/S
terminal. At this terminal we have to provide
positive or negative power supply of DC power supply.
Now
when do you provide the positive? When do you
provide the negative? I will
tell you all those concepts in detail in the class. At
present you should simply understand that if
we have done the wiring here through positive power supply
then we will have to give negative power supply on s/s terminal.
So I will
write -v here. And I bring a wire from here
and connect it at this place
like this. So what happened here? The
connection of our input terminal is
complete. The float switch will also
give our signal on the input terminal and the push button will
also provide the signal on this input terminal.
Now through the output terminal,
only connections have to be made to switch it on and off.
Now this
contractor may
work on AC power supply or on DC. There
is no problem. If it works on AC, then there is a
relay output here,
so you can use AC power supply on the relay output.
If your
contractor works on DC power supply then
connect the DC power supply here and switch
it on and off. At present
I use AC power supply here.
Let me grab a fuzz
supply here. What am
I going to do with this fuzz supply? First of all, I have a common
terminal here. What is the common terminal?
Wherever C0, C1, C2 are written like this, it will
become our common terminal. So
we have provided face supply on this common terminal. Now
we will get the output power supply of this phase supply
on this Y0. So we have to connect a wire to this terminal
and by taking it to
our contractor,
we will have to provide the signal to activate it.
Meaning that the fuzz supply which is being given here,
this fuzz supply will come out from here and
go directly to the contractor. Now
when will the power supply be available from here? Depending on
what programming we have done in this PLC,
our on and off contractor here will be. Now to
operate this contractor,
neutral supply will also be required. So
what we can do is there is a neutral
supply here. You can take it here and
connect it directly to the A2 terminal. This is the only
connection you need to make for
wiring the PLC. It is very
easy, isn't it? Right now there are many concepts in this which
I have not told you about. You have to understand a lot of
concepts. Look,
I don't want to make this class too long.
That's why
I have explained the important part to you. So that you can
know that the wiring of PLC is
very easy. You can do this easily.
Now if you
want to learn the wiring of PLC in a proper manner, if you
want to learn what is
called programming of PLC, like
how the programming of this starter will be done,
you will learn all these things through our course, our
class is starting from tomorrow, 10th May, which will be
conducted daily in the evening, the
class will start
from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, means
we are going to teach you for 1.5 hours daily in the class,
where you will learn by talking to us directly.
So if you
want to take training from us, want to take classes from us,
then I have provided the link of all the courses
in the description of this video. By
clicking there you
can join the course directly.
Apart from this, if you want, our app is
Electrical Technician App, which I
told you earlier that here we have
an app which at present more than
50000 students have already downloaded. By
downloading this app and
logging into it, you can easily learn the course you
want to join and whatever you want to learn by
joining it. I
hope you liked today's video.
Thank you very much for watching this video.
