It's not every day you get to step
inside a Hollywood legend's Pinterest
board, but today we're doing just that.
Diane Katon's dreamy, rustic, industrial
LA estate. Inspired entirely by her
obsession with Pinterest has just hit
the market for $28.9 million. And trust
me, this place is straight out of a
movie set, this one-of-a-kind property
is a
9,200 ft Pinterest perfect dream.
Meticulously crafted from 75,000
reclaimed bricks, topped with a steel
roof and silo and packed with industrial
chic flare. Guys, I have an important
announcement about this channel. There
is someone trying to take this channel,
Famous Entertainment, Down and have
everything that I've worked so hard on
deleted. Click the link in the top
comment and I'll explain everything at
the end of this video. So, please stay
tuned. With five bedrooms, seven baths,
soaring wood beam ceilings, a
showstoppping kitchen, and rustic
finishes throughout, this LA estate is
the ultimate blend of barnhouse soul and
factory edge, all tucked behind gates in
the ultra private Riviera Ranch. After
nearly 14 years of ownership, Diane
Katon is officially parting ways with
her Los Angeles home in the ultra
exclusive Sullivan Canyon community.
Nestled between Brentwood and Pacific
Palisades, this horse friendly
neighborhood isn't just peaceful. It
also happens to be right next door to
Ben Affleck. Yep, real Hollywood
neighbors. The Annie Hall actress, Oscar
winner, best-selling interior design
author, and serial house flipper is now
asking $28.9 million for the property.
Diana originally picked up the property
in 2011 for $4.7 million and then did
what she does best. She completely
transformed it. Inspired by her
countless Pinterest boards, she brought
on architect David Teox and designer
Steven Shadley, Cynthia Carlson and
Tobin Wendall to reimagine the space.
What started as a basic house ended up
becoming a fully earthquake and
fireresistant rustic meets industrial
work of art. Completed in 2015, in fact,
she loved this project so much she
literally wrote a book about it titled
The House That Pinterest Built. This
estate is all about the details. Diane
had 75,000 reclaimed clay bricks shipped
in from Chicago to wrap the home inside
and out. The steel roof is capped with a
full-on silo, giving it that barn
factory vibe she dreamed of. The home
spans over 9,200 square ft across two
levels, offering five bedrooms and seven
bathrooms with a bold blend of
materials, hardwood, brick, stained
concrete floors, steel frame windows,
barn doors, and loads of natural light.
At the heart of the home is a main
living area with soaring wood beam
ceilings, huge metal pendant lights, and
a fireplace carved into a white washed
brick wall stretching all the way to the
ceiling. The sky lit kitchen looks like
it was ripped straight from a design
magazine. It features a blue gray
island, chicken wire cabinets, a
towering Sub-Zero cooler, and an
oversized vintage wine cabinet. Oh, and
don't forget the walk-in pantry because
obviously Diane needs a proper space for
her snacks. Set on a gated nearly 3/4
acre lot within the Riviera Ranch
Enclave, a historic area originally
developed by architect Cliff May, this
estate is completely walled in for
maximum privacy. The vibe here is
serene, stylish, and totally Diane. And
this isn't the only time Dian's real
estate taste blew us away. Back in 2020,
another one of her redesigned homes
popped up for sale in Tucson, Arizona
for $2.6 million. This desert chic adobe
was originally built in 1900 and sits in
the Berry Vieo neighborhood. Dan had
picked it up in 2018 for 1.5 million and
gave it a full glow up. The Sonner and
Row style home span
4,572 ft with four bedrooms, 3.5
bathrooms, and all the southwestern
charm you could dream of. exposed
plaster walls, brick floors, high beam
ceilings, and chlory windows that
stretch across a 36- ft long living
dining room. She even added a massive
swimming pool in an open air cabana,
making it the perfect desert hideaway.
Inside, it's all rustic luxury. Wide
plank wooden floors, vintage sinks, claw
foot tubs, cozy sitting rooms, and a
chic Eden kitchen with high ceilings and
wood beams. Outside there are shaded
courtyards, high privacy walls, and
guest quarters perfect for entertaining
or just soaking up that desert sun in
peace. Whether it's Pinterest perfect in
LA or Adobe Elegance in Arizona, Diane
Keaton has proven one thing. She doesn't
just act, she designs like a total star.
Would you drop almost $30 million to
live in her Pinterest dream home? Let me
know in the comments. Thanks for
watching. Don't forget to hit that
subscribe button. I'm Cara and I'll see
you all in another one. Hey everyone,
first of all, I want to say a huge thank
you to my 500,000 subscribers. I
absolutely love you all and your support
over the years has meant everything to
me. It's kept me going through the loss
of Shirou, the economy crashing, and
lots of other ups and downs. Now, I have
a little favor to ask. I've created a
backup channel for Famous Entertainment.
So, that's going to be linked in the top
comment and the description box. And
this is where I'll be continuing to
bring you the celebrity real estate
videos you know and love. But this time
I'm going to be bringing you into my
world with personal content. I live in a
historic house and I love doing home
rens. Well, at least I've been learning
the last year. I have three dogs. I do
daily workouts. We go to events. You
know, there's trips to the hairdresser
sometimes. I also have three amazing
rescue dogs. I've fostered dogs before.
I do daily workouts. We go to events,
you know, maybe I'll even someday have a
big wedding that Michael promised me.
Anyways, I've been posting this stuff
for years on Instagram. But with me
having to start all over again, I'm
going to try to merge my personal
content with the content that you come
to watch here, mainly house tours.
Regardless, if you love this channel or
have watched it over the years, I need
your support to get the new channel
going. So, please, if you enjoyed the
content that I've created, hit that
subscribe button for the new channel in
the description box and comments and
check out some of the new videos. It's
super important for me to keep our
amazing community together. And in case
anything happens to the main channel,
this is where you're always going to be
able to find me. We've recently had some
hiccups that have affected both life and
business. So, there's someone trying to
take this channel down, like I mentioned
before, and I've honestly put so much
work into famous entertainment over the
years. I want to keep my passion for
creating content alive and not let the
drama or bullies bring me down or affect
my ability to work. So, we're starting
fresh, keeping it real, and I promise
you're going to love what's coming next.
So, let's make this backup channel
something incredible together. Subscribe
now and join me on this exciting new
journey. I can't wait to see you there.
Hey everyone, it's Carara, or Cara the
Vampire Slayer as you might know me. And
given my love for all things house and
home, I recently wanted to get more
hands-on myself. And I started tackling
DIY projects at my own house. Being a
new homeowner, there are plenty of
unexpected things to fix. And it's cool
to learn what you're doing and hopefully
be able to fix it yourself. There are
also plenty of DIY projects suitable for
beginners like me to do and ones that
improve the look of your space
drastically. Follow me and I'll teach
you what I'm learning and motivate you
to join me. You can DIY on a budget even
if you're a total beginner. Follow me on
Fix It with Cara and we can chat.
