Hey, so what are the best and worst
fashion accessories? Well, in this
video, I'm going to be ranking all the
most popular ones on a tier list from S
tier as the most tasteful and F as the
worst. And at the end, I'm going to
crown one accessory as the best of the
best or double S tier and one as the
worst of the worst or dishonor. This
honor, this honor on your whole family.
And here's the criteria that I'm
factoring into my ranking. Number one,
you have to be able to daily it. The
more you can wear it, the better. And
you're going to notice that I have a
bias towards this. Number two, it needs
to be versatile, meaning you can style
it in a ton of different ways with
different styles. And there has to be a
lot of options. So, let's just use hats
for example. There's bucket hats,
there's newsboy caps, there's baseball
caps, trucker hats, cowboy hats, you
name it. That's a pretty big factor as
well. Number three, the more impact it
has on an outfit, the better. And number
four, the more confident it makes me
feel, the better. All right, let's get
started with our most popular accessory,
the beanie. Coming in any color that you
want and in different shapes. There's no
question that just adding a beanie can
significantly elevate an outfit. So, how
do these look on an outfit? Well,
because of the shape, the texture, the
color that it adds, it has a lot of
impact on an outfit and therefore it
makes me feel good. And I also like the
fact that it doesn't hide my face
whenever I film, unlike brims on hats.
So, personally, I can daily it a lot
more than someone that works a corporate
job. And that's probably why you see a
bunch of artists wearing beanies and all
that. So, yes, it does have a lot of
impact on an outfit. However, it only
has a lot of impact on more casual
outfits, more smart and dapper that you
go. More beanies make you look weird.
It's also an accessory that you can
daily for, yes, most of the year for the
summertime. Ain't no way. So, I got to
knock it down just a little bit for
that. And you also have to go through a
lot of beanies, a lot of trial and
error. So, you can be spending a little
bit more money just to figure out which
one fits best for your head shape. So,
because of that, I am placing beanies in
B tier. And while we're on headwear,
let's address hats. These are definitely
one of the more versatile accessories.
There's definitely something for
everyone. Bucket hats, baseball caps,
trucker hats, you have fedoras, newsboy
caps. There's certainly something for
everyone's personal style. So,
definitely gets a bump up for that. And
unlike beanies, you can wear it daily
all year round. And then you do get some
more versatility with styling and
different styles. While it does get a
little dicey the more dapper you go, you
can still get some smart looks with some
basic simple caps. But if your styling's
a lot more casual, more streeteares,
there's just so many options. And like I
said earlier, I don't like the fact that
the hat brim does cover my eyes a bit. I
know you guys want to see this beautiful
face as I'm filming. That does have a
negative impact on hats for me. Luckily,
I found that News Boy and Messenger caps
look better on me backwards, and it just
works a whole lot better for filming.
Outfit wise, are the fits fly though
whenever you style it? Absolutely. Hats
are some of the best accessories that
you can get. I'm also a big fan of
two-tone caps and colored caps. A tier
if you get the right one for you. Okay,
here's an underappreciated accessory.
Belts. And I think this is the case
because belts just aren't as necessary.
At least for me, I mostly buy pants that
fit my waist size perfectly. So, I don't
need to wear belts just because there
are so many times where you forget about
belts and it's just annoying walking
around in public with your pants slowly
falling down. But also, there's a lot of
pants that don't even come with belt
loops or pants that come with
drawstrings so you can tighten it
yourself. So, it does get knocked down a
little bit just because you are limited
to pants that come with belt loops. As
far as how much impact it has on an
outfit, I wouldn't say it has too much
of an impact. I guess you can sort of
notice it right now, but most of the
time whenever you wear a belt, it's
usually covered by a jacket or a longer
shirt and really only gets a shine
whenever you tuck in your shirts, which
I personally don't think looks good on
everybody like what you might see on
social media, the rule of thirds and all
that. But I must say, I think a lot of
people don't know this too much about
belts. There's a ton of variety out
there. Got your standard regular dress
belts, more casual belts, tactical ones,
a ton of different belt buckles, and my
personal favorites, the extended belt.
because belts are mostly covered by your
tops and extended belts just adds that
little touch of detail and that's what I
would recommend. How does it make me
feel though? I'm indifferent. Okay, I
personally am allergic to a lot of belt
buckles. If they're nickelplated, I get
a crazy rash. I know a lot of people
deal with this issue as well. But you
can't deny that whenever belts are
styled well, it looks really good. I'm
going to place it in C tier. Now, let's
talk about jewelry. And just like with
the hats, I'm going to group hats as
just one general category. There's a ton
of different hats. Same thing with
jewelry. There's a ton of jewelry that
you can wear. You got rings, bracelets,
necklaces, time pieces, earrings. And
while there's probably a tier list with
jewelry within itself, let's just talk
about jewelry as a whole. Okay, so first
off, right off the bat, you can daily
it. Every single day, no matter what, no
matter what your style is, jewelry is
there for you. And jewelry just makes
your outfit that much more premium. And
I think that's because humans have
always naturally gravitated towards
shiny objects. So even though it's a
small accessory, a small piece on the
entire fit, it does have a major impact
on an outfit. I'd say probably as much
as a colorful beanie, which is why even
on this lazy outfits, you know, sweats
and a hoodie, whenever you throw on
jewelry, it looks intentional. It's
elevated a bit. But whenever you're not
wearing jewelry, well, you might be
having a bad day, you're down bad, or
you're just relaxing, and that's totally
cool. But that's just the power of
jewelry. And just like hats, you got a
ton of different variations. You got
smart watches. You got regular automatic
time pieces. You got different types of
necklaces, Cuban links, regular chains,
chains with a pendant on it. You got
signate rings, regular rings, wedding
bands. We're just scratching the
surface. Not to mention, you have gold,
you have silver, rose gold, all
different types of colors and materials,
icing out your pieces if that's your
thing. There's also jewelry for
different cultures. Me as an example, my
family has this jade pendant that's been
passed down throughout the entire
family, and that's very sentimental to
me and adds to my personal style. I also
like wearing gold. That's very
traditional in Asian cultures. But
another example, I grew up in New
Mexico. There's a lot of Native American
tribes out there and there's a lot of
turquoise stone jewelry and you see it
everywhere. And so for me, jewelry just
makes me feel like a G. I can't leave my
house without wearing something, a
watch, a bracelet, some rings,
necklaces, whatever it is, I have to be
wearing some form of jewelry. And
because I have such a an eye and
appreciation for jewelry, I designed my
own entire collection with Lupin, the
sponsor of today's video. Okay, so if
you haven't tried Lupin, you're
definitely missing out on life. And if
you're like me, you probably appreciate
craftsmanship. And every piece from
Lupin is crafted by hands by master
artisans out in Korea. And because Lupin
is my favorite jewelry brand, I chose
them as the brand to design my own
collection. So it's called the Ascend
Collection, and we have this beautiful
necklace and the signate ring. And when
I tell you that they've been selling
like hot cakes, I mean it. It's
constantly going in and out of stock.
And it's only because of supporters like
you. I think it's really cool seeing my
pieces out in the wild and automatically
it makes your fit a 10 out of 10.
Obviously, I'm a little biased towards
my own collection, but really any piece
that you get from Lupin is worth it.
Like I said earlier in the video, you
can wear jewelry any time of the year
with any style. And with Lupin's design
being more simple and elegant, it makes
it that much more versatile. Now, some
of my favorite pieces are, of course, my
designs, but also the Resilience chain
bracelet. I love being able to stack
these two rings right here. This is the
trigram it together ring. And if you
just want a regular chain, they got you
there as well. It really doesn't matter
what piece you get from Lupin. It's just
going to make your outfit that much more
put together and that much more premium.
I can't tell you how many times I've
been complimented on Lupin's pieces,
especially my pieces. And I know that
you're going to get the same treatment.
So, if you want to pick up a Loopin
piece, head to that first link down in
the description. I've also left a
special discount code that'll save you a
good chunk of change. You won't be
disappointed. Trust me. Thank you,
Loopin, for sponsoring this video. Let's
get back to it. Everybody should be
wearing jewelry. So, this gets our very
first S tier. Also, I have an entire
video on jewelry. If you're just getting
started, check out this video over here.
I'll link it down in the description.
Let's keep it moving. All right, our
next accessory, glasses. So, you can
classify this as jewelry as well. It's
mostly jewelry for the face, but just
not in the traditional sense of what
jewelry is. But glasses, while you have
a ton of different options, there's one
big caveat. I personally think, and I
think a lot of people can agree, that
most guys look better without glasses.
Now, I'm not saying you should care
about what people think and have them
decide what you should be wearing. Make
your own decisions and at the end of the
day, it's just glasses. All right? It's
not even it's not even that big of a
deal. That's just what I personally
think and I personally like wearing
regular glasses as well. Even though I
don't have a prescription for it as a
fashion accessory, it does look good.
But there are better glasses than your
standard frames. And that would be those
with a unique shape, a lot of
craftsmanship and details behind it, and
my favorites, the gradients or tinted
frames. Something like this right here.
I think tinted frames looks great on all
guys. you know, it adds a pop of color.
It's more intentional as well because
people that naturally have glasses for
their vision probably wouldn't be
wearing these tinted frames. It's
definitely more of a fashion piece. So,
it just comes off a lot more
intentional, which is why I think people
look better with tinted frames. So, for
glasses as a whole, I'm going to give it
a C tier. It's a B tier, though, if you
get these tinted frames, but let's just
leave it in C tier. Up next, we have
sunglasses. I know you guys are probably
thinking why I haven't talked about it
yet. I think it's a separate category
than regular glasses, and I'll explain
why in a bit. And so just like regular
glasses, there's a ton of variation, if
not more than regular glasses. And
there's definitely something for
everybody's style. You've got your
classics. You got your more cyberpunk
avantgard look. And some iconic ones,
for example, are the Sarah Connor T2
glasses. You have the Aviators from Top
Gun. And then you have Morpheus's
glasses, which doesn't have frames. It
just clips onto your nose. Like I said,
there's a ton of variety out there. Now,
why does it deserve a separate category?
It's just glasses at the end of the day,
right? Yes and no. Okay, they're used
differently functionalitywise.
sunglasses you wear while you're
driving, while you're outdoors, and it's
just not common practice to wear
sunglasses indoors, unless you want to
be that type of guy. And two, they add
an element of mystery on an outfit.
Okay? You know, we as humans, we love
seeing other people's eyes. That's just
a natural thing for us. And sunglasses
hide that and it just adds an element of
mystery. So, it does change the feel of
an outfit, if you get what I'm saying.
And in fact, if you get the right
glasses for your style, it can elevate
an outfit significantly. So, because of
that, sunglasses S tier. So, the next
accessory is
gloves. I don't know how I feel about
gloves. I think they're kind of
underrated, but let's be honest, you're
mostly using gloves as a functionality
accessory, and you really only wear for
like a third of the year max. There are
some cool options. However, it does lean
towards more cosplay. You know, the
fingerless gloves, tactical gloves. It's
not really practical to wear on an
outfit. And, you know, you got leather
ones, winter gloves, and all that. And
sometimes they can add a cool touch to
an outfit, especially a more winterized
outdoor look. I think it looks good. But
that's a very niche style and it depends
if your climate is cold. I'm out here in
Chicago so of course I'm going to be
wearing gloves. But for most people I
think gloves are useless. So gloves gets
our very first F tier. Now we got
balaclavas. F tier. I'm sorry.
Balaclavas I don't think is a good
fashion accessory.
But they're definitely useful for colder
climates and they pair perfectly with
your black Air Force ones. Now neck
gators on the other hand are a way
better fashion accessory. First off, if
you wear a neck gator and you throw on a
hoodie, same look as a balaclava, only
you can take down the neck gator a lot
more easier and drop the hood and now
you just got a higher neck collar shirt.
It's basically almost a turtleneck and
it just looks better. It's more
functional. But similar to the
balaclavas and the gloves, they are
limited to mostly the winter time. And
also, I'd say for certain styles, if you
wear a neck gator with a minimalist, you
know, smart look, I don't think it would
look good. It does look better in more
street wear, more techwear type of
looks. So, it's a lot more niche. And
personally, I'm a big fan of this look,
and that's why I think neck gators are
underrated. But of course, it's not for
everybody's style. So, with neck gators,
I'm going to have to give it D tier.
Okay, our next accessory is the wallet
chain. I'm personally a pretty big fan
of these, but I don't wear it. And let
me tell you why. For one, I don't have a
regular wallet with the loops where you,
you know, clip the chain to it. I just
have a regular card holder. It's a lot
smaller, a lot more compact, and more
comfortable to wear. Number two, I don't
wear it in my back pocket. Been
pickpocketed, you would know. It's just
not a good place to place your wallets.
Plus, if you sit down on your wallets
and you don't have anything in your
other pockets, that can lead to uh some
more stability issues as you get older.
I would know as well. I have a lot of
older friends that did that. They walk
all weird and stuff now. So, I don't
recommend that. But, it does look pretty
sick. It's very tasteful and adds a lot
of visual interest on an outfit and you
can daily it as well. So, I'm going to
place it in C tier. I think it does look
really good if it really fits your
style. But I do think there's a better
accessory that suits everybody's style.
And that would be the carabiner.
Carabiner, keychain, whatever you want
to call it. I think this works for
everybody's style. It doesn't matter who
because we all carry some form of key,
whether it be a key fob or your regular
key. And these come in so many
variations and different designs. I
think there's definitely something for
everybody's style. Personally, I carry
my keys on a D-ring with a magnetic
attachment to it. It's actually harder
to detach than you think. You can't just
pull it off. But that also allows the
keys to dingle a little bit lower, which
adds some texture, some more visual
interest. Carabiners are the better
accessory, and I'm going to place it in
a tier. And because this video is
getting a little bit longer, let's rapid
fire a few real quick. Bandanas, while a
cool accessory, they're going in C tier.
Kind of, at least in America, okay, you
kind of have to watch out what colors
you wear and which neighborhood you're
walking in. So that's uh that's an
important factor that you don't think
about. But when done well, bandanas look
really good. You can tie it around your
neck, you can tie it around your belt
loop, you can tie it around a bag.
There's a lot of styling versatility
with this accessory, but I'm going to
leave it in C tier. Face masks. They're
going in F tier. Personally, I like
wearing face masks in a certain style,
but then again, I think neck gators are
a better accessory than the face mask.
This accessory only looks good if you
want that tech ninja look. And it's also
not as practical in a post Rona world.
But I do appreciate face masks,
especially with those dystopian themes,
surveillance states, police state, and
all that. Totally get it. But in a
practical sense, it's not a really good
accessory. F tier. Let's talk about
scarves. They're going in C tier. I
think depending on the scarf, it can
change where it's placed, but on
average, it's probably going in the C
tier. I just think that most people
don't care about scarves, and I think
that makes it a little bit underrated.
But yeah, let's keep it moving. So, now
we're on to the tie. If you guys haven't
noticed, this video leans more towards a
more streetear, casual men's wear
aesthetic. If I was talking about suits,
that dapper look, clearly the tie, cuff
links, pocket squares, and all that,
that's all probably an S tier. You need
that for a clean look. But the tie in a
regular more street wear, casual men's
wear, fashion sense, I think they're
underrated for sure. But overall, I just
think they're okay. I mostly see it in
this specific type of look. And
personally, I haven't really
experimented a lot with different ties
and all that, but I mostly see it in
this type of look, the the button-d down
leather jacket, white trousers. I think
it's a cool look. That's really the only
way I've seen it styled well in a casual
men's wear, streetear sense. And so,
because of that, I'm going to place ties
in C tier. And now, our final accessory
is the bag. There's so much variation
for literally every type of person. I
believe doesn't matter what your style
is. Doesn't matter what your interest
is. I think bags are one of the best
accessories that you can get. Now, I
know some comments are probably going to
say that bags are feminine or it's a
purse and all that. Just give me a
second, guys. Sit down, take some notes.
All right? There's manufacturers,
there's companies out there that make
bags for concealed carry. Okay? I don't
think they even care about what's
feminine or masculine, all that. It's
just practical. All right? Bags are
practical. We're in a different world
nowadays than 15 years ago. I guess 15
years ago sort of made sense, but
nowadays we're carrying power banks.
We're carrying AirPods. I personally
carry sanitizer cuz the city's gross and
public transportation is nasty. We got
Nintendo Switches and all that. Come on.
Bags are super practical. I think
there's a sidal shift on bags in
general. Bags are just useful. And from
a fashion sense, they look really good.
So, there's a ton of options. You got
tote bags, you got cross body bags, you
got sling bags, you got the tactical
ones, you got the CCW bags, you got
leather man bags. Personally, for me in
my job, I'm always carrying some sort of
camera bag. Whether that be a tote bag,
a cross body bag, or a backpack. And
like I said, not everybody was carrying
cameras back in the day. And visually,
you're going to be adding a different
texture going across your body, a
different pop of color. And I think it's
the best way to layer for summertime.
Like I said, you get all that visual
interest without adding any extra heat.
So, it does carry a lot of weight.
However, you don't really need a bag for
outfit. Okay? A lot of it is just the
outfit, and you can have a complete
outfit without a bag. It just really
depends. So, bags do get knocked down a
little bit for that, but I still think
it deserves the S tier. All right, so
here's the tier list right here. What is
the best of the best accessory? So, I
think bags are a solid contender. Okay,
but I have to give it to jewelry. Time
pieces are great. Rings are great.
Bracelets, necklaces, and all that. I
don't think an outfit is complete unless
you're wearing some sort of jewelry.
Plus, there's a ton of variety out
there, and most guys eventually are
probably going to wear one themselves,
so you might as well embrace it now,
man. Now, for the worst of the worst or
dishonor, that's got to go to the face
mask. As much as I like that tech ninja
look, one, I think neck gators are the
better accessory. And two, humans just
like seeing each other's faces, man. I
like seeing your face. I like being able
to see people's faces in public. You
guys probably like seeing my face
watching this video, maybe. And I think
we can all agree that this is probably
the worst accessory. So, if you guys are
just getting started with jewelry, you
don't know where to start, make sure you
check out my video. It is linked down in
the description. And if you have some
more suggestions on what I should rank
on a tier list, leave it in the comments
down below. And until then, stay fly.
