Today we're doing four high protein
ancestral animal-based breakfast recipes
that have at least 30 gram of protein
with no protein powder. We're going to
start with the most simple recipe, which
is a yogurt bowl. You just add in full
fat Greek yogurt for your fats and
protein. Top it off with your favorite
fruit. I use frozen raspberries, goji
berries, and some banana. And then I
also a little bit of salt. And there you
go. Super simple, but super delicious.
Perfect for your busy mornings. For
another sweet recipe, I like to make
these two ingredient banana pancakes.
You've probably seen these on Tik Tok as
they were pretty viral, but you just mix
one banana with two eggs, a little bit
of cinnamon, and vanilla if you're
feeling fancy, and you're going to have
to use baking soda to make them rise. I
like using coconut oil to fry them in.
Ghee is also another great option, but
the coconut oil just gives it a little
bit of flavor. And then you just fry
them up, flip them, and you've got
perfect little pancakes. Just make sure
your pan doesn't get too hot because
otherwise they are going to get stuck
and we don't want to have stuck
pancakes. And they also tend to burn
pretty quickly. So just make sure your
pan has the right heat. So you can just
cook them nicely. And then in the pan, I
just put in some blueberries because I
don't want to clean it. And they just
soak up a little bit of flavor. I can
use these as a topping. You can also use
any other type of berry. I just layer it
with Greek yogurt for some extra protein
and healthy fats and then top it all off
with some of the blueberries and a
splash of maple syrup. And these are
actually so good. You may think, "Oh,
just eggs and banana." But trust me, you
have to try them. And you can also meal
prep
them. Now, for those who like a savory
version, I make these sweet potato
toasts all the time. You just cut your
sweet potato into toast like slices. So,
not too thick, not too thin, but they
should all be even so that they roast
evenly. You just put them in the oven
for about 40 minutes until they get
soft. My toppings of choice are usually
full fat Greek yogurt, salmon, and some
chibives. Also, a little bit of big
Himalayan salt. This combo is so good.
You've got sweet, creamy, savory.
Everything just comes together and
protein, healthy fats are all covered
for the day. So, it's blood sugar
friendly. And then I like to pair this
with something sweet. So, I tend to go
for some Greek yogurt with a little bit
of fruit and that just balances the
whole meal. And this is also so meal
prep friendly. You can just make a lot
of toast at the same time and so
versatile. You can add any toppings you
want. Just make sure you've got protein
and healthy fats to balance your
carbohydrates. Now, for those who are
really focusing on getting their protein
and fat intake in the morning, I love
this pizza omelette type of thing. I
don't want to say it's a pizza because
it's not a real pizza, but it comes
pretty close. So you just mix eggs and
cottage cheese. Put it into your baking
dish and then bake it until it's a set.
That is going to be your pizza base.
It's sort of like an omelette a thing,
but it's really good. Once you take it
out of the oven, it shouldn't be too
cooked yet. So just cook through enough.
And you add your toppings. I use some
patada, some Italian herbs, cheese, and
some salami. I love using Parmesan
cheese and mozzarella as these go
perfect on this pizza, but you can use
any toppings you want. You just put it
back in the oven to cook until golden
brown and delicious. I mean, just look
at that pizza. If you want something
savory for breakfast, this is the recipe
to go with. I also love having this for
dinner, lunch. It's It's so versatile,
so delicious. You can add any toppings
you want, highly recommend making this
one. And for those who struggle with
having carbs in the morning due to their
blood sugar crashes, this is the recipe
for you.
