De-cocking the Excalibur RevX Crossbow How-To
Hi, I'm Jeff from Excalibur Crossbow and I'm going to show you how to safely decock your Rev-X
crossbow using the integrated Charger X crank. Always make sure to remove your arrow before
you attempt to decock your crossbow. Remove your crank handle from the storage in the back of the
stock and insert into the Charger X crank. Turn the Charger X crank handle in the cocking direction
to restore the tension onto the crank and take it off of the full draw latch. With your left thumb,
push down on the full draw latch while continuing to turn the crank handle in the cocking direction
until the full draw latch will push forward easily. Hold the full draw latch with your left
thumb and turn the crank handle in the decocking direction. After two turns you can release the
full draw latch and continue to turn the crank handle in the decocking direction until your string
returns to brace height. Remove your crank handle, store it back in the stock. You can leave your
sliding catch on your string ready for the next time you are ready to decock your crossbow, but
if you do want to take the sliding catch off, put the safety into the fire position and on the right
side of the crossbow there is a cutout in the main frame where you can just reach in and lift
up on the silver tab which will pop the catch off of your sliding catch, allowing you to draw your
trigger up back into the full draw latch without the bow string. And that's how you safely decock
your Rev-X crossbow.
