🔰Elizabeth Warren drops BAD NEWS on Trump budget

So we are right now in the midst of some negotiations,
which has proven a little bit more difficult for Republicans
than they had anticipated.
Because you've got some Republicans who are having trouble
making this debate.
Not because of the fact that they don't have enough health care,
not because they can't stand up to Americans,
but because the cuts aren't deep enough.
It's a word of caution.
Right now, the bill is still actually being passed.
I know that it's in the House, so this isn't the exact
communication.
Eventually, we'll get to that.
Oh, but we're part of this.
I mean, watching it, and watching it unfold,
and you have the exact same pattern.
The fight among Republican Democrats is basically,
we go with a bill that tells 14 million people
they're going to lose their health care,
and raises the cost of groceries
for tens of millions of people.
Oh, and raises the cost of utilities
for people all across this country.
Remember Trump's promise that he would lower costs
on open media?
This is the bill that delivers raising costs
for Americans.
So, they're fighting over just how much
and how much should go up.
14 million people are going to lose their health care,
20 million people are going to lose their health care,
a million people are going to go on hunger,
or five million people are going to go on hunger.
All of it.
All of it is for a new model.
All of it is so close to,
we've got to put more into tax cutaways
for a handful of billions.
So, I think of this right now
as a fight for how many people should go
so that markets can buy another Hawaiian island.
We want to think about what this would actually mean
for the future of the United States.
So, what role does it play in this?
If we don't do this, this eliminates
the biggest tax cut in American history.
So, what does this look like in effect,
both with the highest earners,
but then middle income earners,
and the lowest income earners?
Okay, so, the deal.
Let's start in the beginning.
At the high end, what this bill does
is remember that they passed a tax in November 2018,
but it expired, and it's expiring now.
And it was mostly sucked up,
$3.00 was mostly sucked up
by Illuminati as a means to protect
American citizens.
That is expiring.
So, what they want to do is they want to give
those middle income earners
a little set of tax giveaways.
It will be the biggest in American history
from the poorest Americans
to the richest Americans.
That's just the whole deal.
And so, at the top of the page,
it is a great deal.
It says, you don't have to tax basically anyway,
but we want to actually give you stuff.
We want to give you credits for taxes you didn't pay,
and then the government will take away the paycheck.
That's what they're doing around things like
so-called desertion reductions.
But the other end of it gets noticed the same way.
The other end of it is some of the most expensive
and the most expensive, some of the most expensive
things were there when you guys were short
for their medical care coverage.
Right now, $1,400 million just flew in
and the money goes straight to the top.
Americans, we know how to look at this stuff
and we know how to manage it,
and we know how to value their resources,
because they're writing to Mexico,
because they want to make Mexico a good place.
And that's, that's what they want us to do.
What happens in the middle of the day,
for example, Costco,
because for them to be able to do this
as an independent company,
they want to get all of the money
in the United States market
out of the General Trust now.
And that, in the middle of the day,
get that solar, get that wind up,
that stuff is cheap to operate,
a lot cheaper than having to buy oil
and wind after wind after wind.
So all that is going to happen
is that everyone's going to spend
more cost to start doing that.
And I'm not sure if it was like
the paperwork analysis or the CEO or something,
one of these committees that squirreled
with this tax bill,
but it's something like $389,000 tax reduction
for the top 1%,
and then we have for middle earners,
you would actually see a tax increase
of about $700,
and for lowest earners,
a tax increase of $1,000.
So, you know, these are really,
I mean, you're borrowing from,
you're borrowing from the poor
to be able to pay the rich in this country,
which is going to explain itself
to this next question.
And that is that when it comes to these tax cuts,
they're always structured.
Like, we don't have tax cuts
that we don't have the middle class tax cuts
or the working class tax cuts
that's so often promised.
It always ends up being a tax cut
that's for the wealthy.
And so there is this sense of,
okay, well, this is the best we've got.
And so even with the 2017 tax cut,
if there was some tangential benefit,
if the lowest earners in this country,
if the working poor in this country
get a few hundred dollars,
and granted, it's crumbs
compared to the hundreds of thousands of dollars
that the highest earners get,
still, there's this sense that,
okay, well, a few hundred dollars
is still better than nothing,
and so we'll just swallow it.
And so there's this sense of,
okay, we have to be happy
with the crumbs that we're being given
because the alternative is no crumbs at all.
And so I'm just curious to speak to that idea
that we've become normalized to
and accustomed to this idea
that, yes, it's crumbs.
We know it's crumbs.
We know it pales in comparison
to what the highest earners in this country are getting,
but that's how it goes,
and so it's better than nothing.
Right, so let me start.
We can do whatever we want.
The first answer is,
this is what we've become normalized to.
This is taking it away.
We are actually going to,
the Republicans are going to
and they're actually going to
eat up all of this bill.
So the crumbs analogy,
no crumbs,
but let's get a second one.
And then it's just,
this ain't over.
People have power.
And talk about the funny crowd
and how many come out.
Listen, part of it is,
the Republicans are even more extreme,
saying,
more babies need to lose health care,
more people need to go hungry.
But there's much more than the Republicans saying,
whew, the wages have been in it.
We're all going to be able to re-elect
again in 2026.
And starting to overlook
that maybe we should have a
whole new reasoning about this.
So this is the moment
for people to pick up the ball,
get on the main page and turn to text
their references that have come out of the House.
And this is true whether their references
are Democrats, Democrats,
call them, text them,
email them,
and if you already just have a lot,
do it again.
Do it again and do it again.
Because it is what I want to be saying right now.
So nobody has to accept that
this is how it always is.
The ball is in the air.
Right?
And remember, this is what we call mail.
This is what I meant when I said
I feel like I want you to see
on a capital hill
as you and I speak.
This is the moment for you all.
How does this get on the audience
when you have deep cuts
and you've got one faction
who says, okay, we kick,
we explode the deficit,
we want repair,
and so we have to have deeper cuts here
to try and offset these tax cuts
that you've got to take out.
They all feel like tax cuts
we don't like.
So it's a matter of asking about
as it stands right now
or trying to salvage some part
of the deficit that makes deeper cuts
and the other side of the offset is tax cuts.
It's deeper cuts.
You're looking at healthcare,
it's deeper cuts.
It's food stamps.
It's tax cuts.
It's all the money where you have
the quasi-deficit box
and you're pretending
that you're above the deficit
but then you have the...
But that's the other problem
which is, okay,
now you've got to intend
to bring people who have to go back
to their districts and say,
it's not just, you know,
20% of the people who have to pay
but for now it's going to be 25%.
Now it's going to be 30%.
All right.
You just keep playing around.
Right, right.
You know?
Ha!
It just shows the kind of guy you are.
But that's part of the problem.
The part of what's happening
is that there are
assumptions around.
The British were the president of this.
The president won only yesterday.
And so we're going to make all these cuts.
And don't worry about what I'm talking about.
He said he was not going to touch healthcare.
You're going to have more healthcare.
They asked him about food assistance.
He goes, you're going to have more food assistance.
So there's this...
It's urban food.
We're living in the Upside Down right now
where they were cutting these things.
But then he's claiming that somehow
not only are they not being cut,
they're going to be more food assistance.
Right.
No.
So I think it makes sense.
Yeah.
And I want to say
hundreds of millions of Americans
and millions of Americans
and hundreds of millions of Americans
and millions of Americans
but we know that that is going to be
made as a political goal
of millions of families
and it's going to be terrible
for the economy.
So we're going to pass the law now
about what health care is
and it's not going to explode
until right after the election.
That way,
we don't have to deny reality.
We can all go out
and all of those super-populist
saying no.
Nobody got hurt here.
Nobody's been hurt.
Stop being so hysterical about this.
It doesn't make sense
right now what's going on.
But hundreds of millions of Americans
are going to be cut.
They're going to get hurt.
Indeed.
We're going to win the taxes
to health care.
We're going to win the taxes
so we're going to have to
take care of everything
we need to take care of.
And it's not only
for our families,
but it's taking care
of all of our communities.
It's starting to break
the system of
prescription medicine
in general.
Billionaire women
still thrive
in her prescription medicine.
But for everybody else,
the system starts
to break down
and we got to solve it.
And finally,
we have one more
important issue right now
and that is
it's all going to be
because we need
less money anyway.
Sure, you know,
the federal budget
is going to have
whatever it has to do
with paying 85% less
on all health care benefits.
And I'm curious
to hear your reactions
to that because
it would seem to me
that the only reason
that we exist
is because we can write
whatever edicts we want
and people can take it out
and that's it.
It's a universe
that's not going to
manifest on its own
right to reality.
And if it was possible
for a president
to just say
85% off pharmaceuticals
you know,
sign name here,
it probably would have
happened before.
And so,
I'm curious
what your thoughts
are on this
because really,
the way that I think
about this is
the only way
to get the drug prices
down is to be able
to negotiate,
to have a single
payer negotiate
and that is the government
and we don't do that.
And in fact,
Donald Trump,
by virtue of being
President of the United States,
is entrenching
a system
where we don't have
the government
negotiating lower
drug prices.
And that's why
other countries
do have lower
drug prices
because they allow
the government
to be the single
entity that negotiates
those prices down
because they're
our merchants
and we have
to negotiate
those prices
And so,
I'm curious
what your reaction
is because you're
obviously
much better
at negotiating
those prices
than I am.
No, no,
you have it
exactly, exactly
right.
What Donald Trump
claims is he's
going to reduce
the cost of drugs
by 25%,
his so-called
executive order
on this says
will you all
consider lowering
the prices by
a lot?
It's actually
equivalent to him
tweeting Vladimir
Stalin.
Yeah, exactly.
It's Vladimir
Stalin.
You know what
he's trying to
say all the time.
It's Vladimir
Stalin.
And here's the deal.
We should
change how
human rights
rights.
We should
negotiate them.
I don't think
we're going to
stay on the
national security
structure.
I think that
could be really
good.
But you've
got to come
over here to
Congress.
You've got
to write
legislation
and you've
got to
make them
apply.
It can't
just be
the President
of the United
States
being
the first
one to
make
legislation.
You've
got to
make
legislation
because
the
President
of the
a lot
to say
I'm right here.
You know, it's a slim picture there.
Not much.
Not very populated these days.
As always, I appreciate your time.
Get the word out.
Go home.
