Nintendo Switch 2 Unboxing & First Look! (Next-Gen Nintendo Console 2025)

Today we are unboxing the Nintendo Switch 2. It's finally here. Let's see if we like it better. We are unboxing today. We are actually gonna compare it to the old Nintendo Switch. And we're also going to play a game of Mario Kart, the new Mario World. So I guess it's called Mario World versus Mario Kart. Mario Kart World. Get it right. So wait till the end to see us actually do a Mario Kart World battle. So we're gonna get some gameplay in today at the end of the video. Drum roll please, let's do this thing. It looks kind of different, doesn't it already? I can tell there's like a matte finish on it. Wait. The unboxing. Here we go. Ooh. Whoa. What is this? Don't touch everything. I'm just kidding, you can't. Okay, wow. This one's mine. Red's my favorite color. Blue's my favorite color. It is black and red versus like the red controllers. I heard these were magnetic. Let's see if they're magnetic. Oh, I got my hand prints on it already. Yeah, show the camera what it looks like. They can't see anything. It's beautiful. Yeah. Yeah, let's see if this one's magnetic. I'm gonna test it out. That was satisfying. I like the click. Ooh, how hard, how tough is it? Okay, you're like, you're gonna break it. Give me this, give me this. You can't just like start yanking stuff. This is so sleek. Like I'm loving touching this. It's like a pet. Is that a new logo or is that the old logo? Well, it says it's two, so it's one with a two. I think it's the same one. We'll see later. Oh, this is more of a peach instead of a red. Salmon. It is salmon and I just clicked that and that felt good. It was salmon. How do you unclick it? You have to press this button in the back. Oh my gosh. I would've broke it and it's brand new. It unsnaps so easy, look. I know, that is like, it's so satisfying. Here's the straps you need when you play it. Like if you're doing some kind of like really crazy game. Yeah, like throw in it. Throw it around like this. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh, that is like, I bet it snaps on. Let's try this. So you gotta do it like this. That might be a sensor or something. I'm not sure what that is. This is a lot easier though. I can tell in the old controllers to like press these buttons in particular. They're a lot bigger. That's made more for like adults too. Yeah, the other ones are like little tiny, like for little kid fingers. And they protrude out some. The other ones don't protrude, I don't think at all. We're gonna compare them later. I think this stand is so important because then like you can just play it on this. This is your TV. Versus like getting a TV and hooking it up. Let's let them see. Yeah, you wanna see? See it. This is the dock. It looks pretty similar, but definitely a different shape here. Instead of the rectangle, we have a little bit of a curved thing here. It's just modern. More modern. It's like a car. So it is different. You can tell. We're gonna get to those differences pretty quick. There's obviously the charger, the HDMI cable. Ooh. It came with one of these. Yes. And that controller is that same Mac kind of thing. So we gotta match the buttons to hook it. Yes. Hook it up. Hook us up. I'm guessing the Salmon color goes with the Salmon side. Salmon. It's Salmon, people. It's Salmon. Not aged. Ooh. It did it. Let's make the noise. A little more time. We need like an ASMR here. The snap heard around the world. Be quiet. Ooh. I love that. Let's look at the old controller and see what the differences are. Because I heard there was usage for a couple of these like buttons that we may have not had before. I don't recognize this button. Ooh. The C button. And I would like to know if the old controller has the C button. Yes. Oh, we get new buttons. New buttons. It's got the new iPhone charger that goes with everything. And everybody, every company, you should make this charger. Yeah. Nobody wants to have 50 chargers for everything. It's not an iPhone charger. It's a Nintendo Switch charger. It's an iPhone charger. But this is a Nintendo Switch 2 full controller set. This is awesome. Especially good for a one player mode. And I think Nintendo Switches are like iconic for being able to go from like we're players so easily even with one controller. It's so cool how you can play with two players like this. And you can break it apart. I just think that's the neatest little thing. Let's get to the old Nintendo Switch versus this 2 here. We bought two more extra Joy-Con controllers 2s here. So Joy-Con 2s, not Joy-Con 1s. And I heard from the person I bought this from that there might be some other colors coming out because I wanted the pink and green controllers too. Cause you know, the old one has blue and red and pink and green. I love the pink and green. He just said they weren't out yet. So we'll see. Okay, so you can visually see the differences. The Nintendo Switch 2 has a metal large stand on the back. And then the Nintendo Switch has this plastic stand. So I do think this would be a little bit sturdier. As in like, oh, you can rock it around and it won't go anywhere. So, yeah. But still, I mean, such a good product. The old product is awesome. The new product is awesome. Maybe awesomer, we don't know. Yeah, there's just so many different ways you could hook it up to a TV. You can hook this up as your TV now. And also as that one. And then you could also play handheld like in your bed or something. So this is amazing. So, and the screen's also bigger. You can see that. That's the biggest obvious thing. And this has like a black box around the screen so it's even smaller. And that screen looks like it goes out even more too. This is like a big mirror. So let's see the buttons on the top. Like, do we have any extra buttons here? They're usually a game card. Nicole's got the old Mario card, I think, in here. I wonder if the game fits in there. Let's see if it does. The game fits. The old game, that's the old Mario card. They're cute little games. That was risky, y'all. I heard when you turn it on, it makes an exclusive sound you'll never hear again. Controller click, you must hear. Let's see what the old one sounded like. Two, three. I always like sliding on the spine. I do like the magnetic thing, because it's a lot easier. Let's see if the controllers have different buttons. So it has this new C button. Is that something that's new? Because I see a circle and a house. No C button. I don't see a C button, so I wonder what that does. We'll have to test that out later. They still kept the plus and minus thing, which I find very cute. They look bigger. Yeah, these little, the Joy-Con 2s are bigger. Slightly bigger. That's nice, because adults like to play Nintendo Switch. And then also, from behind, let me see here. These Z buttons are bigger. Everything's pretty much bigger. So let's turn it on, let's get this bad boy going. We gotta be quiet, though, because I heard it's a noise that you'll never hear again. Hello? Oh, there we go. Yay! I don't even know what's showing. Isn't this neat? It's kind of building its home screen here. I just felt like all the feels, you know? So, we are ready to play. Let's unbox our Mario Kart World. Here we go. Okay, so, here we go. Here we go. I was really excited about this Mario Kart World. Who wants to open? Me! I think it's gonna be a lot different than Mario Kart. That always cracks me up. Never get quiet. Let's compare the game sizes. Look how little! The game is big! Let me see how this looks. Let's compare them. This is the old Mario Kart. Okay, they're the same. Well, you're supposed to be able to use the same games to the new one. This one looks smaller. It was good to look. I wanted to see it myself. And this one's red. Like, how cool is that? I love the red. It looks more like an iPad or something. The other one looked awesome, but this one almost looks just more universal, like iPad or computer. It's more of a computer. It looks like a PSP. Are we allowed to say that? I don't know. Let's insert it. While this is updating, we will open up the new Joy-Cons. Here we go, open up the Joy-Cons here. I should say the Joy-Con 2s. Here we go. So fresh. I do like these colors. We're gonna play a little bit of Mario Kart just to kind of give y'all the idea. Here we go. You're ready. The Grand Prix Knockout Tour. I've never seen that. They got new people, I think. I don't remember Pauline. We've got a lot of Paulines. Everything just looks better, obviously. What about the Doppler one? Peach, Peach is first. I keep doing that on accident. Here we go. You can steal people's stuff, it looks like. I didn't recognize this one little trinket on there. So, man, there's a lot of explosions going on right now. I'm in third place. I feel like I just passed you. I'm in third. Oh, shoot. Got you. Oh, I got you. Are you cheating? I don't have sportsmanship. This was amazing. We rate the Nintendo Switch 2 a 10 out of 10. Nintendo Switch 1 was amazing as well, but it's hard to beat the Nintendo Switch 1, but this Nintendo Switch 2 is better. And this Mario Kart world is awesome. It is awesome.
