I have crafts and fun ideas on how to add spring decor to your home. I hope you are inspired and truly enjoy! #EARLYSPRINGDECOR#SPRING#SPRINGDECORATINGIDEAS
Hi, sweet friends, and welcome back.
Today, I am going to share
an early spring decorating video with you.
These are two of my previous videos
that I have uploaded in the past,
but I wanted to give you some ideas
before I start with my new spring decorating,
and these were two of my favorites.
So let's just dive right in,
and I hope you guys all enjoy today's video.
Okay, so the first area of my kitchen
that I am going to start with is this little hutch,
and I had so much fun decorating this.
It turned out so pretty.
If you follow me over on Instagram,
you will have already gotten a sneak peek,
but I'm just gonna quickly dust it off
before I start any of the decorating,
and today, I am using the Caldrea
Pear Blossom Agave Scented All-Purpose Cleaner.
Okay, so now that I have this hutch all cleaned off,
I'm gonna start decorating,
and I really wanted to add some texture up here
with a woven basket that I purchased
at HomeGoods the other day.
I believe it was $16.99.
It was very reasonably priced.
I love HomeGoods so much.
So what I did was I am going to take a garland
and just kind of fill it in
because I kind of played around with this
before I started decorating,
and with those holes that you can see in the basket,
the stems were showing quite a bit
when I put the flowers in there.
These are the flowers that I'm going to be using.
I purchased these at Michael's,
and they were 50% off of this price
that I'm showing you right here,
but I was kind of playing around with it
just to kind of see how I wanted to decorate this basket,
and the stems were showing quite a bit,
so like I said, I used that garland as a filler,
and I think it came out so pretty.
It came out a lot prettier than I thought it would,
and I loved how it added a little bit of that green as well.
These flowers are so incredibly pretty,
and I love that tiny little bit of yellow
that you see in there as well.
I found these beautiful bunnies at Ross last season,
and they were only $8.99 a piece.
This year, I'm going to take
this little raffia bow tie off of them.
I kind of want them to look a little less dressed up
because I do have that really big floral basket up here,
and I just felt like it was a little too much,
but I wanted to add a little bit of height difference,
so what I'm going to do is use a candle holder
and just kind of stagger the bunnies,
and I just think this turned out so incredibly pretty.
Okay, so who is obsessed with all of the peaches this season?
I am totally into the peaches,
and when I found this wooden crate at Michael's,
I just had to get it,
and it looks so pretty sitting here in this hutch.
I am going to fill this with some greenery
and some florals in just a minute,
but I wanted to also show you this bunny candy dish
that I found at Marshall's last season,
and I'm going to be adding some peaches to that.
I did kind of play with this a little bit.
I kind of had to decorate it
and then step back and look at it
and then take stuff out and put it back
and just kind of move things around,
and I get like that when I decorate,
and I feel like sometimes you do have to step back
and look at your creation or whatever you're decorating
and kind of get a feel for what feels right for you,
so that is a good tip is to just to kind of step back
and look at what you've done and then make your changes
or stay with how you have everything decorated.
Also, another tip is to actually take a picture
of something that you decorate and then analyze the picture.
I know that might sound kind of odd,
but it really works for me.

I felt like this cutting board
would just add a little bit of balance
to that wood that I have with the crate,
and I'm gonna add that just behind this candy dish,
and I did find this at Hobby Lobby, and it was 40% off.
♪ Maybe on this open door ♪
So as you can see, I did kind of play around
with this little candy dish,
and I felt like maybe if it was just a little bit bigger,
I wouldn't have had such a hard time decorating this,
but I ultimately went with just the peaches,
a tiny bit of greenery,
and a little bit of white baby's breath.
♪ Because now I know ♪
Okay, now that I'm finished decorating the hutch,
and I will go back and kind of show an overview
of everything when I'm all finished decorating.
So I'm gonna head on into the kitchen area right now,
and I'm not gonna add a ton of decor everywhere.
I want to keep it pretty simple,
and I'm gonna start by wiping the countertops down
and making sure they're all nice and clean,
and I will be using the same multipurpose cleaner
that I used on my hutch for that.
Okay, so I wanted to add a pop of color
right above my stove,
so I thought this wreath would look really pretty.
I want to add some lavender in here.
I love the white and the lavender for spring,
and I thought adding these peach flowers
would kind of tie in with what I did over on the hutch area,
but once I had it up and kind of stood back and looked at it,
I felt like the colors clashed a little too much,
so I did end up taking those out.
Now I'm just gonna add this really pretty white pitcher.
I believe I purchased that at HomeGoods,
and then I'm gonna add some lavender
with some white tulips in the lavender,
and the white tulips always look so beautiful together
for spring decor.
I purchased the lavender at Walmart last year,
and then these lifelike tulips,
I'm telling you, you guys, these feel so real.
I purchased those off of Amazon,
and I'm gonna go ahead and leave a link
for the tulips in my description box,
and if I can find the lavender on Walmart's website,
I'm gonna go ahead and leave that link as well.
Always check my description box for links
if you are looking for something,
or you can just go ahead and ask in the comments,
and I will try to find that link for you,
and then I'm just placing this vase on a riser
and then adding my hand soap and my dish soap,
and then over here on my shelf,
I'm just gonna add some more of that lavender
in the vase over here,
and then add some really cute carrots.
I purchased the carrots at HomeGoods,
and just in case you're wondering,
I did purchase that wooden riser at HomeGoods as well,
and then this is another basket
that I did find at HomeGoods.
I do buy a lot of my items at HomeGoods,
and then I'm just placing my canister in here
with Rocco's Dog Treats,
and then a tiny bundle of some lavender.
Decorating this hutch this season for spring
is definitely my favorite part of this video.
I honestly don't think I have ever been more happy
with how this hutch has turned out
for any type of seasonal decor.
I just think the peaches are adorable,
and that basket with those beautiful florals
with those bunnies up top just looks so pretty.
I love how everything kind of goes together,
and I am just truly in love with how it looks.

So today I'm going to be refreshing my kitchen
with some spring decor, and I am so excited about it.
It's looking kind of blah and plain,
and I cannot wait to add some pops of color in here,
and just some fresh florals,
and just something that makes me feel like spring is coming.
So when I think of spring,
I think of greenery and the blooming flowers
and fresh herbs sitting in the window,
and I've been really wanting to use for a while,
so I went over to my local Home Depot
and found some of my favorite herbs
that I love to cook with more often than not,
and I thought I would place them
in really pretty containers.
So I decided to go with three of my favorites.
I picked up a lemon thyme, a peppermint,
and some Italian oregano.
So my original plan was just to use
some plain terracotta pots and place them in the pots
and put them in the window,
but once I got home,
I really wanted to dress these up just a little bit,
so I found this craft paint up in my craft room.
It is called Wicker White,
and I do believe that I found this at Hobby Lobby
probably a year or two ago,
so I didn't have to go out and buy this paint.
I already had it,
and then I just did a very, very light coat
over the terracotta pot,
and then I took a dry paper towel and just buffed it away.
I really wanted to give it a very worn and weathered look,
so once I was done, they were pretty much dry,
so I took a wet paper towel
and I kind of went over the edges
and where they would be worn just a little bit more
and just kind of distressed them.
If this is the very first time you are visiting my channel,
I just wanna quickly say thank you so much
for clicking on today's video.
I truly appreciate you,
and if you are a returning subscriber,
I appreciate you so much as well.
I just wanted to say that and give you all a quick thank you
for watching today.
So right now, I'm just distressing the pots
just a little bit more,
and like I said earlier,
I am taking a wet paper towel at this point
and just kind of going over those edges
and places where there would be more
of a worn look than others,
and I love how these turned out.
They look a little old and worn,
and I just really, really love it.
I think they look so cute.
If you wanted to add just a little bit more to these pots,
I think some really pretty font
with the names of the herbs
stenciled on the front of these pots
would look really pretty as well.
You could also add some florals
or some painted roses or something.
I don't know.
I think there's so many possibilities.
I love how they look just the way they are,
and they fit perfectly here in my kitchen.
This spring wreath for my kitchen
is so incredibly beautiful,
and it was super easy to make,
and I'm gonna show you exactly how I did that.
First, I'm gonna share where I got my items
and what they are.
So this is some floral foam that I picked up at Walmart,
and I'm showing you the tag for reference
if you wanna go pick one up,
and then I'm using a few things that I already had.
I had this garland with some flowers
and some moss and then some lamb's ear.
I didn't use the lamb's ear,
but this is so pretty,
and it makes a really wonderful filler
if you have some empty spaces in your wreath.
You can just add little pieces of greenery,
and this lamb's ear is really soft and subtle looking,
so I really love using it.
Most of the florals that I will be using
are florals that I have had from years past.
I didn't go out and buy anything new
except for those bright pink florals
that you see right here.
I picked those at that Walmart as well.
Whenever I make any type of wreath or an arrangement,
I always start with my greenery.
So I'm gonna start by laying my greenery down
onto this piece of floral foam,
and to keep it in place,
you can either use some hot glue.
I'm going to use some larger staples,
and I'm just gonna kind of stick those in there,
and they aren't gonna hold the piece of garland on there
really, really well.
It's just kind of keeping it from moving around
while I'm adding my florals,
because once you put your florals into this foam,
it will also hold that greenery in there for you.
So you really don't have to do this,
but I'm doing this to just kind of keep it in place
while I'm adding the rest of my florals.
So normally if I have all different sized florals,
like if I have larger florals and then some smaller florals,
I like to add my larger pieces first
and then add in the smaller ones like filler.
But mine are pretty much all the same size,
so I'm just gonna kind of start by colors first,
and I wanted to start with all of the whites,
and I'm just kind of evenly spreading
the white florals throughout,
and then I'll go with the other color, like the pinks.
And then last, I'm going to be adding my lavender,
because they do look a little bit differently,
and I just wasn't sure how I was gonna place those
until I had the rest of my florals in here,
but this turned out so, so, so pretty.
I love this.
It was super easy and super quick,
and I cannot wait to make one for my front door.
To attach this to the hook that I plan on hanging
on the wall, I'm just gonna use some floral wire,
wrap that wire around my wreath,
and then create a little bit of a loop,
and it is that easy.
