Final three witnesses for Karen Reed's defense expected to take the stand this week.
One of them resumes their testimony from Friday this morning.
Let's turn it over to Boston 25 News reporter Ryan Breslin, live at Norfolk Superior Court.
And Ryan, this witness is with an accident and reconstruction firm.
Good morning to you, Ray.
Yeah, that's right.
They are from ARCO, which was originally hired by the feds for their investigation of this
case.
Now they are witnesses for the defense.
Dr. Daniel Wolfe taking the stand all day on Friday, showcasing his findings of a number
of crash tests that he took.
Videos of those crash tests, they were shown to the jurors on Friday.
Karen Reed, she's accused of clipping John O'Keefe in reverse with her 6,000 pound SUV.
Dr. Wolfe did multiple tests that they were run at speeds up to 29 miles per hour to determine
if that theory makes sense.
According to Dr. Wolfe, damage recorded in his test does not match damage found on Reed's
taillight and on O'Keefe's clothing.
Prosecutor Hank Brennan tried to discredit Wolfe's work.
The quarter panel taillight had the clear section damaged.
You've done no studies on hard ground, like a front yard, have you?
No, sir.
Another member of ARCA is also expected to testify for the defense.
Then we are expecting to hear from a medical examiner before the defense rests its case.
For now, live in Denham, Ryan Breslin, for your local station, Boston 25 News.
