This is an Arduino and so is this.
Despite pretty different form factors
and not to over complicate things, but
this is also an Arduino. This is the
Arduino Uno from the Arduino official
starter kit that comes with a breadboard
for easy beginner projects. While this
is an Arduino Nano, which has got to be
the most optimized tiny board for
embedded circuitry, and it can be
combined with so many attachments to
make it easier to use, like these
terminal bases. I've used this embed in
this lightsaber soldered into this hobby
board. And I even designed a custom
printed circuit board to use a nano.
This is the Arduino IoT board that comes
with touch sensors and a little built-in
LCD screen. The Arduino Uno is one of
the most versatile ones for driving
larger components like this one, which
has a stepper motor shield combined in
it, which is basically how DIY 3D
printer and CNC machine kits are driven.
And you may already be familiar with all
these flavors of Arduino, but I bet
you're not familiar with this, the
Arduino Opta PLC. PLC's are notably
different from the rest of these
microcontroller boards, as they usually
find themselves in control cabinets
alongside industrial hardware in plant
and factory settings. And Arduino built
their own open-source IDE for
programming this PLC, or you can use the
popular Open PLC IDE, or you can just
use the conventional Arduino IDE. And
I'm super excited about this affordable
PLC cuz when combined with inputs and
outputs like these switches and motors,
you can do some really cool projects.
And this is going to be an awesome way
to show you guys about the world of
industrial controls and automation that
I work in. So, make sure you're
following along.
