Today we're going to be touring the Ham's House.
This is a four unit shipping container home, believe it or not.
It's the most disguised container home I have ever seen and the most dog friendly Airbnb
I've been to as well.
Let's go check this place out.
Welcome back to the channel everybody, hope you all have your coffee.
We're located in Lutsen, Minnesota, right on the north shore here along the coast of
Lake Superior.
It is a beautiful area.
If you've never driven up the coast here, you definitely have to make this a bucket
list stop because there's one road that shoots all the way up and there's small towns along
the way and then you drive along the coast with the blue water.
It is awesome.
It rained a ton here a couple days ago, so all the hiking trails and waterfalls are full
of water.
I went on one and here's a couple clips of just the gushing waterfall.
It was absolutely crazy.
Pretty rare event to have this much water, so I had to come check it out.
And of course, Lake Superior is beautiful and we get a Lake Superior view right up here
at the cabin.
Look into the trees, you can see the blue water.
We're very close.
So, awesome location.
Whenever you pull up onto the property, it's a really private road and the property overall
is extremely private.
There is a creek running somewhere around this property, you can hear it whenever you're
outside.
Plenty of parking around here.
At the bottom, we have a small fire pit area with some chairs.
We can look back up at the cabin and see the black exterior, the huge floor-to-ceiling
windows.
There's an enclosed deck space up here, walking up to it, a couple rocking chairs, a small
table, and then they leave like a ski lodge lift swinging chair right here, which is really
fitting with the area.
This patio space has a really unique feature.
If you don't like bugs, at a press of a button, screens come down and enclose this entire
patio space.
This is an amazing feature.
I don't see this too often at Airbnbs, but it needs to be more popular of a feature because
I like sitting out here, having this closed and just enjoying your time, not even worrying
about bugs.
If you've ever been to northern Minnesota, you know bugs is a thing.
So, I love that, and I really like this metal fan feature over here on the right side to
kind of block the sun coming in.
Nice little exterior feature, and just overall, it is beautiful out here.
Let's go inside and check out the interior.
This front door is huge.
Large glass door, it's heavy, makes you feel more luxurious and custom, if that's the feel
you're going for.
I like it.
And we can walk in, and immediately, we're in open space.
Lots of natural light coming in here, thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows everywhere.
I'm really impressed how they have four containers here, and they cut out all of the middles
to open up the space like this.
Very impressive.
Nice wood floors.
Looking up at the ceiling, it's like custom paneling, pretty industrial looking.
I'm not sure what it's called, but a little feature I've never seen before.
And overall, this is your living and kitchen and dining space.
Very beautiful in here, clearly.
I like the decor they chose, and the layout, the feng shui, as you would say.
The first space right here is the living room.
Nice white couch here, coffee table, and then your console, and then the frame TV above
that.
There is a fireplace in the corner of these windows.
Gas fireplace, easy to use, you have to have one if you're in Minnesota.
And then, I like these leather chairs sitting next to it.
That's what I'm sitting in right now, and they are actually comfy.
You know, accent chairs can be really not comfortable.
I really do enjoy it.
And sitting here with some coffee next to the fire, or just looking out the window,
or talking with your friends and family here, man, I'm just daydreaming right now.
So this is the living room, and then behind this is your kitchen space.
Large kitchen island right here.
I like how they combined it with your dining table, and how there are different levels
and connect looks really cool.
Your sink is here in the middle.
You can be at the sink and watch TV, or look into the living room, which is really handy.
And then there's cabinets below this.
On the other side is your trash can, and then there's actually storage on the other side
with some games and books.
So very functional kitchen island, plenty, I mean tons of countertop space.
You know, I say a lot of countertop space in a lot of videos, but this is like plenty
of countertop space.
And on those back walls, the rest of your kitchen, nice black refrigerator over here
on this left side.
Cabinets below here, they're really deep when you pull them out, they're huge cabinets,
they store a lot, they're deep.
And above this, in the middle, we have your cooktop, other coffee supplies here on the
table.
I like this little window and ledge behind, kind of for the backsplash.
Looks great.
And then storage and cabinets above as well.
You might be wondering, where's the oven?
Where's the microwave?
Well, if we turn around here at the corner, next to this window, we have a built-in microwave
above and then an oven below.
So really luxurious.
I like whenever people built it into the cabinets, of course, and the appliances they use are
pretty high-end.
So overall, this is a killer kitchen.
On this back wall, we have a huge mirror right here, some plants, there is a dog bowl against
this window.
So this place is dog-friendly, and when I say dog-friendly, it's very dog-friendly.
There's a little mat over here for the animals, and outside, there's something special for
them.
I'll get to that later.
But continuing along this little hallway right here, it leads to your bedrooms and bathrooms.
There are two bedrooms here and one bathroom.
In here, there's some storage with these cabinets, and then you can pick whichever way you want
to go.
One thing I do want to point out, there is a skylight here right in the middle.
So, a little cool feature right there.
We'll start with the main bedroom here on the left side.
This one is the one I slept in.
Nice large bed here in the middle, they have the sign above.
This must be the place, and they're right, this must be the place.
The paint they have on this wall is like a stone wash, you can see the different textures
and layers of it.
Really cool.
More floor-to-ceiling windows in here, and then there's a closet over here with an automatic
light.
Whenever you walk in, the light automatically turns on, and then an even smaller closet
next to it.
This probably has to be the smallest door I've ever seen.
Some more storage.
Now, on this other side, we have a small desk area.
If you need a desk, need to store your stuff here, whatever you need a desk for, it's here.
And then there is a door off of this.
And this leads us out into the fenced-in area.
This is for your dogs.
You don't even have to watch them, you can just leave them out here, or of course, if
they need to use the bathroom, this is where they'll go.
Never-before-seen feature at an Airbnb.
If you're a dog person and you need to bring your dog, this is really cool.
So, small golf clap to the owners of the Ham's House for the dog owners out there.
We'll walk back inside, and then the other bedroom is right over here.
Container bunk bed, fitting with the style.
Cool bunk bed if you're bringing kids, they'll love this.
There's also a closet in here with an automatic light, and then another door right out here
to go out into the fenced-in area, so both bedrooms have access to that.
Very nice.
And last, but definitely not least, is the bathroom.
Walking through here, large, black-tiled shower, huge glass door.
Now, the tiling, they did like a gloss and a matte mixed with a vertical tile.
Pretty cool.
There's also a skylight here in the shower as well.
On this back wall, we have some spots to hang your towels in the shower, so you don't have
to get out to get a towel.
That's handy.
And then your toilet, and then your vanity right here with the mirror, with the built-in
lights.
It's really bright, easy to get ready at, and overall, this is a cool bathroom.
Fits in with the aesthetic of this Airbnb.
And that sums up Ham's House here in Lutson, Minnesota.
