GOLD COAST vs. Sydney: Which Australian City Reigns Supreme?

happening and she said they're the kangaroos they're just hanging out there and they're currently looking at me oh yeah [Music] what a start into the day good morning let me get a little bit closer here so today I had a very very early start started at 3am just to find out that my flight to Brisbane was canceled which is not bad news because I am flying with Virgin instead of jetstars that's a win for me and currently I am on my way to meet a friend that I haven't seen in a very long time that I met in the Philippines and she is one of my best friends so I'm super super excited for this trip I cannot wait to take you to Brisbane foreign [Music] just like that one and a half hours later I am in Brisbane and excited to meet Zoe hello all right we had a little catch up apparently we are at a market getting the first order of business some fish and chips and Zoe say this is the best the best spot to get it yeah which is Gabby Road in Red Cliff so I'm really disappointed that Nellie's first fish and chips in Australia was at Opera bar it's just too bougie for a really good one you know so my my secret to a good fish and chips is a Hole in the Wall family run store it's got to be wrapped this is this is it this is it it's got to be wrapped in butcher's paper you've got to get it with chicken salts all the good stuff got some lemonade homemade some really nice views here oh my how do you wear it look at it this is how you eat it maybe better off sitting on the ground okay let's put some the ground all right this is it all right Nellie's first real first real fish and chips experience in Australia because the first one doesn't count right not an opera bar got some nice crunch wow the batter is good right salty batter nice sauce yeah this is this is much better what have you look at that so nice seagull also I was just told this was Ace this is a spot way Zoe him as a child yeah yeah it's your chocolate spot it's dogs dogs make everything better a little dog there dogs everywhere [Music] all right we rented out for a little road trip we are currently in Noosa at the Sunshine Coast Zooey so what is it about this town it's just so cute one of my best friends lives here so I've brought Nelly up to check it out it's actually the first day but we're staying the nights hopefully tomorrow is a lot better um but we are gonna go see a friend have oyster happy hour oyster happy hour the best happy hour yeah so we'll take you around Nursery it's one of my favorite places in the world in the world I thought Philippines is your favorite place close enough I each other you know I'm here with Zoe's friends I'm not going to force the camera into their face but right now we came to a place that is called knock knock and it's so beautiful we're going to have some oysters here the bar looks absolutely beautiful interior is so pretty and we've got a table right over there we can do some people watching tree [Music] good morning it is actually the next day we are a little bit sleepy a little bit low in energy what are we doing coffee we are doing the Noosa National Park walk so it's one of the most beautiful walks in Queensland hopefully we'll see a koala it's possible it's possible Carson saw his first koala here really yeah so okay fingers crossed something was moving there in the back could be a koala okay so here we have a lot of walkways done here we have a beach the ocean nice views so haven't spotted koalas yet but we're not even in the national park yet so keeping fingers crossed foreign [Music] [Laughter] Paradise so I like to come visit yeah it's a very cute town I'll show you more about it later some wildlife hello hi buddy [Music] step outside it's like negative degrees no I ain't trying okay what's the story behind the bird this is the Kookaburra Nelly so the first time nearly had lunch I thought it was monkeys in Sydney because they laugh it's like it was more like a dog maybe we'll hear they're native Australian they're a kingfisher so they have a big beak and they like they fish okay um and they're really cool and they usually are in pairs and they laugh together and oh it sounds like a little oh [Laughter] thank you koalas probably somewhere there you can't see them [Music] all right we are back on the main road here in Noosa um there's a lot of lovely restaurants around here a lot of cute shops very tempting to spend a lot of money Exquisite coffee yes I agree the different shop I think yeah also look at Zoe we went to the markets and Zoe got this uh jumper and this headband so many compliments dude everyone loves the buttons hello buddy hi yeah by the way this is a very beautiful store in here look how pretty so we were just driving home and as we were going home so we said ah there they can get but I'll try and get a little bit closer and they're gone but it was nice to see them in the wall oh finally you can take this off my list bye that was so cool yes little Rivers yeah yeah yeah yeah and they come every day yeah they're there every day usually um yeah they're just the local ruse there used to be more but deforestation so they've developed where the Roos used to live so I guess they've kind of moved here now yeah and there's in this park and they are doing some developments yeah so that's a great yeah but rules to us are like deer yeah they're everywhere I know it's very special for me yeah yeah I'm just like I think people don't realize that rules are like everywhere yeah yeah so and like roadkill ruse that's that's a thing yeah I also feed kangaroo to my dog [Laughter] little detail [Music] you can call me Ellie from now on there's one coffee shop after another and I made it into Brisbane town for a little bit of solo exploration yeah City Vibes so Zoe stayed at home she has some work to do and I decided uh to head out and see what Brisbane has to offer so let's start with the coffee and see what this day brings [Music] all right that was the shopping street I did a little bit of shopping huh it's very tempting I must say and now I'm trusting the bridge over to the other side there's a ferry wheel right behind me nice buildings over there um let's see what's on the other side very curious so nice nice day today sunny championships all right I'm currently taking a walk by the river it's beautiful there's this path we have lots of trees lots of bridges so many bridges it's crazy and it seems like everybody's just very very active people are just running taking these scooters spikes see bikes but yeah I am getting really really hungry so Zoe recommended a place called yurio's Pizzeria so I'm just going to go there have a little uh snack or maybe a pizza let's see I haven't eaten yet it is 5 p.m so it is breakfast lunch and dinner I guess but yeah look at those bridges here these are the bikes by the way that you can rent you can just download the app sit on it activate it and go [Music] one of my secret obsessions is to watch I love it I love watching people who are just strolling along the river with families friends working out together couples having a moment people sitting by themselves thinking about life and right now I'm at South Bank 4 which seems to be a beach in the city with sand which is super super cool look at this it's like a full-on beach I love God and people just swimming amazing and honestly I'm very tempted to jump in swimming but yeah this yeah that's a very cool feature nice job Brisbane wow look at it it's like a little mini vacation so this area is called South Bank and where I'm currently walking is the more lovely area I'm currently reaching a few restaurants it's such a nice Vibe it's Sunset and people are just chilling here by the river it's super super nice a bunch of restaurants in front of me yeah this is this is the vibe super nice best feeling in the world spread the world around it so much ain't worried about it the best life then no stress life let me show you what the
