We've NEVER Seen This Side of Manila (Tourists Won't Go Here!)

when talking about capital cities of the world people in the past have told us including our Filipino friends that Manila does not have the looks compared to the impressive skyline of Singapore the glitzy lights of London and the iconic skyscrapers of Hong Kong but we've just seen something on our current Philippines trip that shows that Manila can be absolutely beautiful how do I open it like this you hold that one only likes it without the green on good morning guys welcome back to a brand new video we are currently on the 31st floor having some breakfast and we're going to show you the view in a second the views here are crazy we can just see so much and we're going to give you a full look in a second we're going to head to the outside part of the restaurant because I don't think I've ever had a better view of Alabang it's crazy or like the whole area we can see so much from where we are right now because we're so high up and visibility is quite good this morning so we're going to head out in a second and show you and if you did not see the previous Vlog we have arrived here in Alabang staying at the I keep mispronouncing this hotel I think it's vi video we watched yesterday we actually watched we actually watched a video on how to pronounce it I'll put it on the screen here this is where we're staying kindly invited us for a couple of nights Viv vi vi vi something like that we were saying Viv yes back in Alabang happy to be here really really like this area Lucy is not lying about the view it is pretty spectacular I we've never been this high up in Alabang ever and even from our room we've got stunning view um enjoying the view it's stunning look out look at this there a rock [Music] [Music] yeah [Music] so in the distance is the where is it along here is the like metro Manilla Skyline you can see and like BGC the Cassie and something I really like about Alabama these long roads full of palm trees and when the sun shines at different times of day the Shadows of the palm trees create these amazing patterns along the road and the palm trees here are quite different it's more like the ones you see in Dubai not like your classic coconut tree they're like the more spiky ones and you've always got these really cool patterns reflect you on the road and I feel like that's quite distinctly Alabang I've not seen that anywhere else yeah this ke is amazing so we get to have breakfast and dinner here while we're staying at the hotel and it's um it's really nice eating at different times of day as well so super nice big old view of lag lagona Lake in front of me which is actually the view from our condo so it's quite funny seeing it so close up just behind me here um yeah amazing now we're going to head for some coffee at the mall the mall opens at 10: but I think the coffee Shop's already open now and uh George has found one of his new favorite coffee spots in Alabang so we couldn't have another day here and not go there you probably saw it in the Vlog yesterday and he's also considering getting a tattoo for some reason so I'm not sure what's going on there but what's that your first tattoo you're going to get today oh do you know what I'm so temped keep's Talking About It piano so I don't know what one he's going to get I want to put on my story and get people to give me ideas there's stuff all over the lens it's too hot people kind of wait till the evening or obviously get the morning Rush of people going to work like 7 8: a.m. but we've noticed a lot yeah the malls don't open till like 11: or 10 10:00 here in BGC most of the stores and the malls open at 11:00 a.m. so we always find it funny that we're the only ones walking around in the direct sunlight cuz we're like stick out a bit doesn't it cuz we're from England so like the sun to us is precious we're like here come the tourists yeah here come the tourists flocking out in the sun guys if you're looking for a sign this is it so much lately I can barely find the time to sleep yeah spend my time running around keeping people pleas but this is my favorite heart day it's a chance to start over new cuz I missed you so what happened well we forgot money so I had to run back to the hotel in 32° heat ran all the way there all the way back love your impressed with my fitness though didn't struggle didn't uh didn't even sweat oh did sweat didn't break a sweat I did break a lot of sweats but yeah um anyway delicious coffee back at Higher Ground I never knew I don't know how long this was here let me ask how long um it will be one year on December so it's quite new okay one year all right coolz I I never at say ate at say hi ate yeah I never knew this coffee shop before so it's really really good thank you so much byee byebye what is it Go and the go no how much is this [Music] okay check this out guys frozen yogurt we never buy this kind of thing in the UK do we always in the Philippines we always get like a frozen berry or this is uh different brand I don't know what it is but natural ow ow oh no my spoon's stuck my spoon's stuck cuz the careful your break it do you want to use mine to break it yeah the chocolate is kind of dried wow okay all right we're good I think we're good wow that looks so good the chocolate is like dried onto my spoon try [Music] this that's very tasty that's really really good also a woman just came up to us in the morning and she said she had has um no work and she has two kids and she's looking to try and make a little bit of money to support her kids' education and stuff and she was selling these biscuits which are like I think they're like toasted biscuits and they're 150 a pack and we just we just wanted to support a a little bit so we bought a pack maybe try these later with some coffee are you having daddies you prefer Daddy all right you'll have to have mine do you want to try some of Daddy's tachio source is a game changer unbelievable that's really good have some of Daddy's Lucy's so good at choosing like toppings and stuff of this kind of thing I don't know I don't think yours go I don't think dark chocolate and kiwi go I got dark chocolate kiwi and mango we got three toppings I think dark chocolate needs like berries yeah I know we're just in a shoe store just looking to um maybe buy some new ones I've just found the shoes that I wear my new balance 530s and look at the difference quickly this is how dirty mine are like this is how they started out and this is what they're like after I don't know year and a half 2 years maybe we have been seeing this place pickup coffee pop up everywhere and we had a lot of comments on the Vlogs and Facebook Instagram saying you guys love your coffee there's a new place in town you need to check it out pick up coffee so we're going to get a little one just to share we're going to be too over caffeinated today we've already had a fair bit of coffee but we have been wanting to try this so on the way out of the mall as it's right here we're going to get a little I think we'll get a iced Americano that's okay and selfies as wiq as well endorsed by an as well I'm not sure if it's her business or if she's kind of the endorser I'm not too sure but anyway going to order try this for the very first time oh sadly in a bye-bye in a simple twist of fate they've run out of water so we can't we can't get bought this one yesterday and we bought this one today and I just love them because they're super cheap it's like 100 and something pesos and Koda loves cars and things but this would definitely be a lot more in the UK wouldn't it that's like a couple of pounds 56 pound yeah so it's amazing that we can get loads of different ones and kind of um maybe donate or give away some of the little cars we've been taking around with us space for these ones um because I feel like he's a bit bored of the toys it's been about 4 weeks now or 5 weeks hasn't it so I think he needs like a new set of toys cuz he's had like the same three cards in every hotel since we left and yeah so we've got some of the new on and he's loving this one because the doors open don't they Koda can you open the open there open there and what happens on this one what do we open how do we open this one I'm not not swimming today I'm currently working on some thumbnails on the laptop for the Vlogs going out hello I'm portions oh yeah there's a whole another portion of wings just here and the chicken salad too I said to George that I could eat the whole tray on my own and George was like well I could eat the whole tray on my own so I was like let's just order one each then it's so good the wings were very very good here but look at this table like we're here we're at the pool beautiful view here Sunset View watching the highway or watching the traffic start to build up down there glad we sat up here and not down there in the traffic beautiful your sh thank you amazing amazing view of the mountains over
