Hi.
My name is Cindy. Today, I want to tell you about my best friend, Emma.
Everyone needs someone they can trust.
Someone who is always there. For me, that person is Emma.
Emma and I met in middle school.
I was new to the school and didn't know anyone. On the first day, I sat alone during lunch.
Emma walked over with a big smile and asked, can I sit here? I said yes.
From that moment, we became friends.
Now, we are best friends.
We have many things in common. We both love music.
We often sing together and share our favorite songs.
We also enjoy dancing. Every Friday, we go to a small dance class near our homes.
It's not very serious. We just go for fun. We laugh a lot and enjoy the time.
Another thing we love is cooking. On weekends, Emma comes to my house or I go to hers.
We try easy recipes like pancakes, cookies, or pasta.
Sometimes, we fail and the food doesn't taste good, but we don't care. We just enjoy being together.
One time, we made a cake and forgot the sugar. We laughed so hard, but it was a great memory.
Emma is not just fun.
She is also kind. She helps people and always says nice things.
One time, I was very sad because my pet dog got sick.
I cried a lot. Emma came to my house with flowers and a small card.
She hugged me and listened to me talk. She didn't say many words.
But just being there helped me feel better.
She also helps at school. When someone forgets a pencil, Emma gives them one.
When someone is alone, she talks to them.
Everyone at school likes her because she is friendly and helpful.
I remember another time when I felt nervous.
We had to give a speech in front of the class. I was shaking and wanted to run away.
Emma held my hand and said,
You can do it. She gave me courage.
After the speech, she told me I did great. That made me smile.
We also like to watch movies together. Our favorite movie is about two girls who travel the world together.
After watching it, we said, One day, we will travel too. We made a list of countries we want to visit.
Maybe one day, we will go to Japan.
Italy or Brazil. It is our big dream.
Sometimes,
we talk about the future.
Maybe we will go to the same college.
Maybe we will live in different cities.
But no matter what, I know we will stay friends.
We send each other funny messages every day. Even if we are busy, we always find time to talk.
Emma is more than a friend.
She is like a sister to me. I trust her with all my secrets.
She never laughs at me or judges me. She supports me and makes me feel strong.
I feel lucky to have Emma in my life.
Good friends are hard to find, and I know I have found the best one.
I hope everyone can have a friend like Emma.
Someone who listens,
cares, and stays with you through happy and sad times.
Thank you for listening to my story. I hope it reminds you of someone special in your life, too.
