FLYING TO MANILA! (London to Philippines 2022)

[Music] [Music] gatwick airport 10 am [Music] incredible and of course the bell of the ball world the man coda ready let's go [Music] hello and welcome to a very exciting video i've actually got goosebumps saying this right now we are at galway careful and we are about to embark on a very very long travel journey around 27 hours so wish us luck we've got a stopover in dubai and then we're landing in manila at 4pm manila time tomorrow so right now it's what time is it i don't even know 10 a.m in the morning in the uk so this time tomorrow uk time we're almost similar yeah so very very long day ahead coda's very first flight and journey so in a defense for him we are super excited let's go [Music] okay it's going well so far this is different i have to say it's very very different but we're doing well we have made it to our lounge and we have booked the lounge because we thought to have a little bit of our own space a guaranteed space for us to just stay for a bit charge some stuff yeah we thought that would be a good idea coda's on the floor having a call around stretching his legs before the long flight yes so all going well so far through security nice and easy into the lounge oh and top tip forget like the premium security before it's five pounds each um babies but now we're here cheers first time in an airport good luck okay first time continued right okay the whole time [Music] got it first time in an airport for over a year we've made this little barrier oh he's on okay yeah he didn't work the barrier didn't work the barrier failed so koda has a little area down here to play with hello first flight first flight two in a row back to back [Music] dubai [Music] all right little coffee run managed to get to starbucks lucy got double espresso a little flat white for me let's tell you about the extra journey today we have to fly from london gatwick which is better for us because usually it's london heathrow so a lot closer to home a lot easier for us then we fly seven out of seven hours seven and a half hours from london to dubai and then when we get to dubai we have two and a half hours in the airport then we go dubai to manila because they are no longer doing well how long for that's a nine hour flight nine hours five minutes nine hours and five minutes those extra five minutes gonna be the killer they are probably yeah we just take the direct flight to manila but it's not running at the moment and we've just been to the shop because we've lost our neck pillows at home we couldn't find them anywhere so we bought these ones hopefully they'll let us sleep a little bit on the flight i don't know we booked seats with the little cot that comes down for coda and i'm hoping he fits in it he's comfy in it he'll actually sleep in it so we can get some sleep because if he doesn't sleep in there we're not going to be sleeping for about 30 hours and we were actually up a lot of last night as well with koda because he didn't sleep too well so we really need a lot of luck for today's journey um but so far i don't want to jinx it but touchwood is going very well but this vlog is going to be filmed over nearly 24 hours well more than that more than way more than that yeah 48 hours yeah no 30 no 20 for twilight 26. 26 hour vlog yeah so you might probably see us just deteriorate slowly as yeah this is us before fresh fresh right now we're doing good okay we are about to board we're all loaded up this really it's starting to feel like the old days but we've got another little guy to carry this time who is having a little nap so we're hoping is he waiting all right we're hoping he's going to sleep a little bit on the flight but we need to go [Music] foreign [Music] oh [Music] seven hours down landed in dubai that was hard that went quick that wasn't quick for me yeah but it was hot it was hard it was gonna we're not gonna lie we're not gonna sugar coat this that was is first flight the beauty of a vlog took about 20 seconds for you guys i feel like i've aged about 20 years the good thing is we're able to um so yeah to give a little bit of info in the vlogs i guess for any families looking to travel with babies we had to drop our own stroller at the gate which was good because we could take it all the way to the gate yeah and then we're next going to see that in manila but emirates provide a mini one their own mini strollers for us which is a life saver even though i'm still carrying a ton of bags and my left shoulder is aching hugely but um yeah now we've got a few hours here on to the next flight we're getting there that is more like it that is much more like it [Music] okay so we're just about to go through the next gate i'm a bit delirious to be honest um both feeling very tired code is having a nap in his buggy currently which is good although it doesn't mean that he's not going to sleep for the first bit of this flight again but it's fine we make him do the first fight was okay it was okay he only slept for about half an hour total of the seven and a half hours but it wasn't his usual long sleep time in the evening so for him it was just like the daytime so we basically just had like two little naps in the day um not as long as we'd have liked but it's fine he didn't love takeoff did he there was a bit of crying to take off but landing was good so it's like you win some you lose so it wasn't too bad now we're about to board to manila and it feels surreal like the saints george we've been planning this for months for so long and now we've done half the journey and we're about to board and we're about to be back in the philippines after over a year and it's like emotional we're feeling every single emotion right now we're like excited we're nervous for the flight we're about to see where we spend lock down which is kind of scary and mad see loads of friends again eat some amazing food the camera is very close to my face on purpose i don't think that's i don't think that's a good idea with how i look right now it's just so surreal i'm so excited i don't know i just feel like weird it's like yeah yeah it's mad peace on second flight second flight yeah [Music]
