‘I Am’ Is the Sense of Being

In this video, Rupert explores our sense of being and the knowledge of ourselves that we refer to when we say ‘I Am’. Why exactly is this knowledge significant and what are the implications of understanding it?
He explains that everything we know of the world is through sensing and perceiving and everything we know of the mind is through thought. But there's one unique aspect of our experience that doesn't go through the mind and that is our knowledge of ourselves — the awareness of being.
Awareness’ knowledge of itself is direct and is therefore not subject to the limitations of the mind. The pure knowledge I am or the awareness of being is the awareness of unlimited being, infinite being, God's being. So the knowledge ‘I am’ is the knowledge of the presence of God in us. The pure ‘I am’ — the pureness of being — is the awareness of being before being has acquired any of the limitations of human experience.
