BIRTHDAY SURPRISE FOR DANIELLE!
Danielle's birthday came out of nowhere and so we wanted to do something fun for her and fun for the girls! They loved getting to plan a surprise for mommy while she was out shopping. Adeline also has the perfect birthday present for expectant moms!
Guys, we have the best idea ever.
Danielle's birthday's coming up on Monday.
I can't believe it.
I don't even know how this happened.
Where did it come from?
I haven't bought her anything.
I'm gonna try to take her shopping.
Give her some clothes.
She's been saying she wants some pregnancy clothes.
She's like, I don't have anything to wear.
I'm like, let's get you something to wear.
Your birthday's coming up, babe.
Elena's been asking what she should give her for her birthday.
I have not had any idea, and today it dawned on me.
I finally gave her the perfect idea,
and she's rejecting it.
No, I'm not.
Are you gonna do it, then?
Yeah.
Well, how do you want me to do it?
No, I can't.
Then why do you do it?
What?
Then why do you do it?
I wanna show you.
So every mom loves a good back scratch
and a good back rub, okay, especially when you're pregnant.
Danielle, that's what she loves.
And she would often recruit these children to do that.
Well, I'm like, guys, you know what she would love?
A coupon book for free back scratches and back rubs.
Hello?
What's that?
Addy, you know what you're gonna do, bud?
What?
We're gonna make mommy a coupon book.
How do we do that?
I'll show you.
We're gonna cut up little pieces,
and we're gonna put free back scratches
and free back rubs for mommy's birthday.
Isn't that a great idea?
If she wants to do that.
She loves that, doesn't she?
If she wants to do that.
Let's make it.
Let's do it.
All right, here's what we're looking at right now.
Oh, what are you doing?
Okay, you can cover that.
We got some good for one free back scratch
and then back rubs.
We have three of each of those, right, Addy?
Yep.
And then Addy's decorating the front
little cover for the book.
It says happy birthday, mommy.
Yep, and I need that too.
Balloons and some other stuff.
She's gonna love it.
I wish I was a small fish.
So we're gonna staple this together when Addy's done
and make a little book out of it.
And then mommy can cash these in.
She can redeem these whenever she's ready, right, Addy?
Yeah.
And you're gonna scratch her back
and give her a back rub?
All right, hold on, ready?
Is that on there?
Nope.
All right, push the stapler, hard.
That's good.
All right, you ready to give it to mommy?
I accidentally split up her birthday.
You wanna wait until her birthday?
Yeah.
Are you gonna hold on to it?
Are you gonna keep it
or you want me to keep it for you?
All right, I'll keep it for you.
Can you keep it safe?
Yeah, I'll keep it safe.
And then we gotta remember to give it to her, okay?
Welcome to Danielle's birthday extravaganza.
Danielle, you're a.
Don't hug me, it's 29.
You're a woman now.
You're not gonna hug me.
How you feeling?
29 again.
How you feeling?
I'm feeling fine.
29 and feeling fine.
Here's the man.
You guys.
The man in the clothing.
We are in an unfamiliar place.
Usually we're just at home these days,
but it's my birthday.
So we left the kids at home with John's parents
and we're out for a day of shopping
and spending time together.
And we started at Target where I got a few things
I'll show you guys later.
We just kind of talked through our trip to Target
and enjoyed our little bit of time.
And now we are at the Cheesecake Factory for lunch.
They have a lot of gluten-free things.
If you eat gluten-free and you need a place to go,
Cheesecake Factory has a lot of stuff.
So we're sitting here.
It's inside of the mall in Raleigh.
So we're going to go shopping a little bit,
walk around, just kind of.
Enjoy the day.
Spend some time together.
Without kids.
And then, yeah, head home in time for dinner
and to maybe have cake or something with the girls.
Should be a good day.
It will.
The only thing that's concerning here
is the Eye of Sauron is here staring at us.
You're so weird.
Yes, look at that.
It looks, look behind you.
Yeah, they're right there too.
Yeah, oh, I know.
That one specifically is just looking at you.
It looks just like it did.
Anyway, she doesn't think I'm funny, but I do.
And that's all that matters.
What'd you get?
Cheddar stuffed burger.
Cheddar stuffed burger with a gluten-free bun.
Sweet corn tamales.
Also gluten-free.
Very good.
Can't eat it all.
I got the avocado egg rolls.
They're my favorite.
They're so good.
They're not gluten-free, but they're so good.
And then these Korean cauliflower things.
It's like, I don't know, it reminds me of like
General Tso's like chicken, but it's cauliflower.
But you wouldn't be able to tell the texture.
It's just like crunchy-ish, a little spicy.
So good.
It was so good.
And now we're gonna go walk around the mall.
There's like a couple stores I wanna pop into.
I think I need some maternity jeans.
I think we've hit that stage already.
And I don't have any from my last pregnancy, so.
Hi guys.
Okay, so today mommy went on a date
and we're, and Gramps and Grandma are here.
And Addy and I were at school.
And we're going to be doing a surprise party for mom.
Let's see how it's coming along.
How's it going?
Looks like it's going pretty good today.
Well, so far so good.
I know, I know, I know.
Judy, Judy, hold on guys.
Now Judy will be putting up a banner.
Here is our schedule.
It's a little messy, but it'll have to do.
10, 30, 12, oh that was a mess up, so decorate.
And 11, 15 snack.
12 o'clock lunch.
12, 40 pick up the girls from school.
1, 30 do birdhouses.
And that says something, I'm not sure.
It's different.
And we will be setting up this table.
Gramps or Grandma brought a pretty flower for mommy.
And there's this.
We're going to fill up things for mommy.
I think Grandma's going to buy some Hershey's chocolate.
Oh, look at that, look at that.
It's beautiful, beautiful.
They're doing a pretty good job.
How do you feel about this, Gramps?
It's really coming along well, I think.
Let's check this out.
Ask our little helper here.
Everybody out of the way.
That looks good.
It's the bestest in the world.
Look at you.
He's carrying my backpack and my shopping bag.
Like a true gentleman on my birthday.
Carrying the things, going into all the stores,
looking at clothes.
I know he hates it, but do you hate it?
I love it.
It's the best day of my life.
Am I the only mom out there who goes out for your birthday
or goes shopping and wants to just buy things for your kids?
Because I'm like, oh, look how cute.
This is so cute.
Me and Graham just got back and Jude
from getting some Reese's for the container cup.
Here, I'll show you.
I got all of them to things.
And here's the little balloon, happy birthday balloon.
Hey Mary, how's the lunch?
And do you think mommy's going to have a fun birthday?
Yeah, she's going to have a fun birthday.
What do you think, Gramps?
Definitely.
But I'm only going to have a fun birthday
with the cake and stuff.
Oh, Judy, you're too funny.
Well, H&M apparently does not have
a maternity section anymore.
Probably wasn't all that popular.
They do, I think, online though, so I'll look online.
And where else?
I wanted to go to Aerie,
but it was on the other side of the mall.
And my feet hurt.
So we decided I will also look online there.
I'll show you guys what I got from Madewell
and Target later.
We have one more stop before we go home.
Look, and we got our van finally running.
Hola!
We had to get the van titled
and we, because Danielle wasn't feeling good.
Yeah, titled.
We gave it a title
and cracked a bottle in the front of it.
What?
Registered.
Registered?
Is it titled or registered?
I guess it is registered.
We had to register our van with the state of North Carolina
and pay the taxes and get our tags.
I guess it's title and registration, but.
That's fair.
And get our tags so that we could legally drive it,
which we were not driving it.
And that's why everyone's like,
what happened to the new van?
It was just sitting in our driveway.
But it was, yeah, it was a rough two months.
It was.
I handled a lot.
You did?
Mostly perfectly.
Ooh.
That's not true.
Mostly okay.
The house was a mess.
It's okay.
All right, let's go.
We are running out of time.
No, we're not.
I mean, watch.
Are we really?
I don't know, what time is it?
3.30, so we're gonna be back at 5.30.
So we have a couple hours.
Okay, so we already did the batter.
We forgot about vlogging the making the cake,
but we have it in.
The cake tasted so much good.
Yeah, we tasted the batter.
Jude, stop doing that, it's annoying.
So hey guys, we're just finishing up our decorating.
We just gotta do the streamers,
which we actually just started about two seconds ago.
And then we're gonna do the balloons,
so I'm really excited about the balloons.
We're finishing up the decorating.
We're going to be, we're putting up the streamers,
and we're going to do the balloons after the streamers.
And so yeah.
Hey Adeline, how are you doing?
Good?
Ever, are you doing a good job?
Yeah.
Okay.
Yep, there she goes.
Okay, we made it home.
Somewhat empty handed.
Like the last part of the day
was maybe a little bit of a bust.
Should've got a massage instead.
Or a nap.
It's always tomorrow, or a nap.
The mall should have a place
that you can go take naps.
Parents can go.
I'd go there.
There are a few bed stores.
We could've been like, we need to test this.
Anyway, we're home.
So while we were gone,
we had John's mom like set up a surprise with the girls.
I just feel like it's so important for them.
Like they want to do something for my birthday,
but they don't know what to get me,
and I didn't know what to tell them,
because like there's nothing I really need
or want that bad, you know?
But I knew how special it was for them
to like do something special for me.
So we left stuff for them to make a gluten-free cake,
and did you tell your mom to get decorations and stuff?
Yeah.
So they've been working on that.
I guess, have you been getting text updates?
A little bit.
They don't know that I know, so.
So we're about to go in, and.
Come in, I got the text.
Okay, good.
We're gonna go in and be surprised,
and it's gonna be so sweet.
I don't know what exactly they're doing,
so I will still be surprised.
Anyway, I know that they're so excited,
so I can't wait to see the look on their faces
when they get to surprise me,
and like, I feel like it's just gonna make
my birthday so special.
Oh man, I'm gonna put my shoes on.
Oh man.
It's so quiet in here.
It's so quiet.
Oh my goodness!
Are you kidding me?
I missed you too.
Happy birthday to you.
Mommy, happy birthday to you.
Whoa, look at this!
What a surprise!
Let me wash my hands, sorry.
Look at that.
Is that Tay?
Tay?
Oh my gosh, man.
Good job, Mary.
Wow, guys, this is amazing.
You want cake?
What is it?
It's a chocolate, and I put it everywhere.
Oh, that's cute.
I'm gonna chew all of them.
Oh my gosh.
30, 32.
Okay, 35.
E5, E5.
E5, yeah.
Look at that.
You want what?
That.
What is that?
Cake.
Cake, cause I love cake.
I'll take it.
Sincerely, Elena.
Oh, a baby.
That's a timer.
New shirts.
Oh, now I remember.
The birthday present for me.
Oh, what is it?
There's some magic.
Eraser sponges.
Oh.
That the kids can use to clean the walls with.
Yeah, I love them, yes!
Yeah, I love them.
This is Maren's artwork that she did the other day.
You wanna clean the walls?
We better get Maren's, we're working on it.
Yeah, get Maren's.
Here's a hack.
I got a sponge.
Melanin sponges on Amazon.
It was 100 for $27.
You use Thieves Cleaner, which is Young Living's cleaner,
so it's non-toxic, or whatever your favorite cleaner is.
And you'll have to pay the upcharge
for the magic erasers and all the chemicals.
Here, Maren's gonna lick that.
Here, go clean the wall.
Go scrub off the marker on the wall.
Oh, Maren, let's clean it up.
Gotta get the Thieves Cleaner.
Oh, oh, oh.
You have to wet it.
And that, my friends, is how you put the kids to work.
Worst birthday present ever.
I did it.
What, you did what?
I did it.
Me, though.
You did?
Yeah, me did, though.
You did it?
Yeah.
Give me five.
Give me five, you can clean our whole house now.
Hey, give me five.
Hey, pick it back up.
Thank you, good job.
Can you pick it up off the ground, please?
Don't leave it on the floor.
Hey, if you leave it on the floor,
the doggies will eat it.
Go pick it up.
Hey, hey, I'm talking to you.
Mommy, mommy.
Yeah, I know what it is.
Oh, I want some, too.
Hey, Ty, come on over.
Dad, this is Ty.
Can you hear her little voice?
Oh, you want some, too?
Here.
Dad, this looks like Tangled's hair, too.
Hey, I want some, too.
Dad, this looks like Dad's.
What'd she say?
