Our FIRST FLIGHT in 1 YEAR! Reacting to NAIA Airport in Manila 2021 (NEVER seen like this)

lenses leads adapters other lenses headphones hard drives more lenses more adapters all things you picked up the same thing over and over again pretty much yeah all the things we haven't had to think about in so so long but we're nearly there guys i mean if i'm in the packing it's coming along it's coming along slowly but surely we haven't had to think about this kind of thing i haven't even had this bag open and loaded in forever so if you saw yesterday's vlog you'll know we're off we're off on a trip trip for a lifetime um i've lost something really there it is we are off to the airport in about 15 minutes 15 20 minutes i'm nearly there we did most of our packing yesterday very excited to get going hope you guys are excited i feel like a travel vlogger once again let's finish our packing head to the airport oh some very special people picking us up actually for this trip okay cases are packed oh okay i think you maybe have over packed for a few nights but it's better to be over pat than underpacked i say and it's all good so we've got this main uh camera bag here we've then got a second camera bag which has got nothing to do with cameras in it but we're just using it because it's nice and padded and good for storage so we've got that and then we've got two other suitcases got our little luggage weighing thing as well just in case i have not needed any of this for a long time it's been so long since we traveled that alright lucy said have you got the passports i was like no where where are they i didn't even think about passports [Music] all right we're going on an airplane let's go our grab has just arrived and it's waiting for us downstairs oh the camera back no picking it up i was like what lovely okay airport express is taking you to terminal 3. thank you very much thank you clark airport uh yes but can you pay for it all right so we are in our mode of transport for this morning some very special people have picked us up good morning guys the most special grab indeed very kind of them to um take us to the airport today i mean they're charging us was it five five hundred you said that that's how i roll yeah [Laughter] you do realize we weren't talking about pesos thank you so much guys take care yes be safe you too on whatsapp in about five minutes okay so we are in the airport it's pretty busy actually i mean it's not as busy as i've seen it before but there's quite a few people here quite a smooth process downstairs just coming into the airport obviously checked out bags and then now we're gonna head to get our boarding passes printed we're actually flying with air asia today all right so pretty smooth process so far there's there was no queue to get in to the airport at all it was a holiday though it is a holiday today um so that might be why but very very little no queueing we got straight in it's kind of quiet in here although the check-in places are fairly busy but like domestic travel is kind of opening up in the philippines they're encouraging domestic travel so so far it feels like a similar process obviously you've got your temperature checks and i believe we have to use an app for like contact racing coming up soon yeah we'll explain all that in a second we will we're about to meet someone from airasia because we are flying with air asia today they've kindly hooked us up with some flights to borapai so i'm excited to get going they're going to help us with the process getting the boarding passes all that kind of stuff all the stuff that we used to do so regularly we got so good at it we were so smooth but now i'm like putting i didn't even have my uh confirmation ready on my phone to show the guard you before we'd have it like in our hands ready to go i was like oh yeah i need to show the confirmation let me just find my email search for the ticket again but yeah we're just getting used to it but i mean so far good experience [Music] so all right so we just got on the flight um you can see it's pretty busy actually if you just look behind me ah see we're not we're not actually on the plane yeah it's just a camera illusion so we're actually in the airasia office right now because we're shooting a little something with them very cool it is very cool we never get to see this usually so we're getting a little bit behind the scenes yeah this is a nice work space yeah and it's obviously chinese new year today so we've got some lanterns and stuff up and it's a holiday so there's barely anybody in here [Music] we're just at the air asia counter now and in terms of the documents that we needed to travel today they need to see a hotel confirmation a flight confirmation we sent over we sent over a health declaration form to the tourism office at boracay who returned a qr code they also needed to see the negative subtest result of course as well and um it's been super smooth so far we sent it off it took around three hours for them to give us a qr code back and it was about 24 hours to get our swab test result back and they need a 72 hour window for the travel as well so been really smooth at this point we're now just dropping our baggage and they need to see all these documents here and then we're gonna head on through the airport so whereas before we would only have to show our sport at this point we have to our pcr test the health declaration from the tourism board okay we're getting our body temperature checked also and they're just putting out our boarding passes as well now and they actually write it on your boarding pass so of course it's a lot quieter in the airport today i mean look behind me there's no one here and obviously there's limited selection as well with the shops and things that are open and i think now we're going to just wait at the gate until it opens basically so far it's been incredibly smooth [Music] okay guys about to board i just picked up some sushi they've got a little japanese restaurant here which was open there's not much stuff open all the retail stores can you hear me in this shield all the like retail stores are closed in the airport there was a little place open a little bit of food pretty sure i nearly held up the whole flight by waiting for this but we're good we're good i haven't been on one of these for a while wow an airport bus so we're actually getting a little bit of special treatment priority boarding we've got this bus to ourselves and it means we can get like a shot with the plane first which is going to be pretty good it's a nice day i'm looking forward to flying i wouldn't say we're nervous but i think we're excited yeah the feeling of actually being in an airplane again is going to be so new and seeing from the sky seeing the water seeing the islands you excited very i can't wait if if you couldn't hear that she said very can't wait [Music] uh [Music] this is crazy okay we're the first to board this feels weird it is on that thing where it's so familiar but we just haven't done it for so long i have a goosebumps seriously it feels super familiar now we're back here but yeah what a fun experience we have some really good seats as well afternoon hey thank you so much hi we're good here all right first reflect it on your boarding passes thank you for your kind operation okay we are in our correct seats we have a window seat we're actually right in the front of the plane which is awesome i don't mention the hair it's the shield and the mask ruins the hair but it doesn't matter we're about to take off guys the whole experience here has been awesome air asia have really really looked after us they actually were just telling us about a filter thing they have in the plane which constantly is cleaning the air so that's reassuring we're actually going to keep our face shields and face masters on and before we boarded they cleaned the plane fully after the flight before us as well so it's all good so we are on our way that was the experience that the airport was very very different also very familiar the process was pretty smooth but you just have to make sure you've got all these travel documents you need to make sure that you've got everything prepared before you get to the airport if you are looking to start traveling domestically around the philippines just make sure you get your documents ready make sure you get everything ahead of time be prepared and it will go hopefully as smoothly as it has done for us exactly this is pleasure [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] is [Music] tick tock don't waste it all on tears your fantasies just
