Staying in BUCKINGHAM PALACE of The Philippines! LIPA Batangas or The Crown?!

Guys, I want to say a quick hello, a quick thank you for enjoying the Lipa vlogs, the New Year's vlogs. This video you're about to watch is, we want to show you this place in more detail because we think this could be possibly the most unique, possibly the best overall experience we've had in the Philippines in terms of accommodation and a hotel. It's Hotel 1925 in Lipa, Batangas. I keep saying Lipa, I need to say Lipa. We're going to show you around this whole hotel. The look of it, the vibe we explain in the video is totally different to anything we've seen in the Philippines. I don't even know how many hotels we've stayed in in the Philippines. It's got to be, I would say, approaching 100. Lucy reckons over 100 different styles of accommodation or a lot of them have a similar style. This, as you will see in the video, is totally different. If you guys are from Manila, you can get here in about an hour with good traffic. Even if you're not, wherever you're watching from in the world, check this one out. If you ever do pass through Batangas. To us, it had a kind of boutique feeling, something we would more commonly find actually in England, especially in the countryside in England. Enjoy the rest of this vlog. Welcome to hotel 1925. Let's take a look. How was that for like a intro? Yeah, that's what I was going for. That's what I was going for. I don't know, change it up a bit. It's a bit much, isn't it? A bit much? Are you okay with it? I think I'm okay with it. I'm cool with it. That's fine then. All right, let's go. Are you good with the bags? Do you want me to carry some? Well, it's only for that. I mean, I think I should. It's all right. Get the coffee cups from the car. I'll deal with it. Okay. I've just been watching this show on Netflix, which is like interior makeover or something. What is it? Dream home makeover. And some of the properties are reminding me of this kind of style with like some classic furniture, this kind of color. Oh, nice. Oh my God. These look comfortable with these kinds of colors, sofas and armchairs and things. And with this like circular area with the staircase and still got the Christmas decorations up. It's got this very grand feel to it. Thank you very much. And do you know what makes this room even better? So this is the 1925, right? 1925 hotel. I'm not sure what the relevance of that date is. I think we should find out. Maybe it's like designed on 20 style, but this is, we've never stayed anywhere with this kind of style and this kind of look. It's got that really nice. How would you describe it? It's like quite grand, isn't it? It's grand, but it's still modern. I think with this like grainy color. That's what I was saying outside. You've got like some classic furniture put around and those little statues. Look, even like here with the, we're about to do a full room tour, but here with the archways and stuff and the window itself is one big kind of archway. And look, you get two armchairs in your room and a huge bed. I don't know what to say. I feel like I should have some statement to make. Oh, sorry. I know what you need. Okay. It's time for a juicy vlog room tour. It's been a while. Here we have a nice doorway. It's so grand here. I love this archway. I love how this place looks and the archway is also mirrored. If you zoom out and go tiny step back, you've got another archway here. So it's like super grand when you walk in. And it's also mirrored on the window. So we'll show you that in a sec. But when you walk in, you've got this lovely grand wardrobe with these little knobs. Let's not break the antique furniture. Lovely wardrobe with some snippers. And you've got the bathroom through here. Oh, nice bathroom. It's so cold and tiled. Wow, that's nice. Really nice. Little lavender soap. Some little toilet trees here. Huge walk-in shower. It actually feels very similar to our bathroom at home, doesn't it? With the glass and the walk-in shower. It's a lot bigger. Big shower head, two ceilings, spotlights, and nice white towels. Then into the main area, you've got a little luggage area here, a big TV, some nice sort of desk area with the lamp with a nice window. Oh, I love that lamp. Coffee bits. These details give it that extra grand look. I like these little spare mugs. Oh, look at these. How cool. These feel like actually antique. See, it's things like this. I think these are really old. I think these are really old. They're awesome. I love them. And even look here, this is like a decanter thingy. Big purple. Looks very antique-y as well. Then if you go over here, you've got a huge window, loads of light coming in, nice big curtain. Again, it's similar style to our apartment, I swear. Look at the ceiling. Oh, yeah, the lowered bit here, giving it that grand look. Nice coffee table here. Do you know what I love the most? What? The floor. Oh, I love the floor, and I love the floor with these chairs. I think these look so nice together. Yeah, it all goes. Then we have a big bed. Oh, yeah, when I did the room tour at the cabin, so many people were disappointed that I didn't do a roly-poly. Really? That's what you always used to do on the vlogs? Yeah, they were like, Lucy, the room tour is not really worth it without the roly-poly, so I guess I have to do that now. Wow, this is not as easy as it used to be. No, I'm too achy. Lucy's a few years older. I'm not a few years older, I'm just achy. Oh, that was very elegant, actually. Huge headboard that runs, as you can see, all the way across. Nice wooden headboard with the same lamps again, and nice little details everywhere, but what else? Oh, yeah, and then there's some quotes on the wall. How weird, it's a new year as well. That's quite cool for New Year's. You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream. Very nice. And as you're going through the hotel, there's all these little details, like there's a typewriter here. Is that a typewriter? No, that's a cash register. That's an old till. Oh, yeah. I didn't really live around here. That's so cool. That's really cool. Okay, so one unique thing that I want to point out about this hotel is that they have, well, it's windy out there, they have a barber shop. They have a barber shop. I just got asked when we checked in if I wanted to book a haircut appointment, which I think is super unique. I've never been offered a haircut at a hotel before. I think that's really cool. They are closed today, but if I wasn't, thank you, if I wasn't growing my hair, I might take them up on the opportunity. That would have been very useful a few years ago, though, when we were on the road, and I constantly needed haircuts when I kept my hair shorter. It would have been very useful. Thank you. Wow. I love it. A little windy. A little. It feels so cold. I'm not wearing my jacket anymore. We've got a really nice view of the mountains here, which I guess when it's not such bad weather, you can probably see more clearly, but it's so nice. So nice. Lois, I think these chairs would look so nice in the apartment, wouldn't they? So we're just having a look around the hotel. It's our first time here. This seems to be almost like a library or a chill zone. It's kind of a little bit different at the moment because it's social distancing. So it says, please do not sit on here. But I guess usually guests could come and relax in here, come and read, have a coffee. This whole arch design continues through the whole building. And there's even, nice, right? I love that painting. And there's even a huge painting on the wall over here. And this whole place has been, you can tell it's been designed. Lucy put it perfectly a minute ago when she said it was a, it feels like a boutique hotel, but we are just kind of wandering around because it's our first time here. Ah, so through there, maybe. Oh, what does the menu? Here's the menu if you guys are interested. So this is the restaurant, which I think we're eating at tonight. They look so nice in there, don't they? Wow. I think it might be closed right now, but if we have a very quick little sneaky peek. Wow. That is super nice. That's like a pizzeria. Hi. Hello. Hi. Oh, how nice is that with the music, chilled music playing. You know, it's a really cold day today, but this, this place actually really suits the cold weather. It feels like we've come to like a really cozy kind of place and hotel. Look at this. They still got like the Christmas decorations up, the warm colors. I really, really like it. So I was even out here, you get like a nice little, I would say this is one of the most unique and the most grand looking hotels. The only hotel in the Philippines I've seen in this kind of style. Um, it feels more like, um, I mean, you'd get like grand chain hotels, like the Marriott and things like that, but this is like more of a boutique. That's how it feels. Very individual and unique. We're very, very happy to be here in Lipa and thanks to the hotel for letting us stay.
