It's finally here: my FIRST upload since we hit 200k on our main channel "Making It Happen Vlog". It took me a while to edit this video but I think it turned out okay 🤗 I'll keep it very casual here - so feel free to SUBSCRIBE and let me know in the comments down below which topics you would like to see on here 💛 xoxo Nelly

ABOUT ME: Hi, I’m Nelly and I’m a Traveller and Foodie spreading good vibes all over the globe. I’m based in the Philippines and call Manila my home :) I have a travel & food Youtube channel with my boyfriend Mike on „Making It Happen Vlog“ but this channel here is my personal little playground where I talk about some other things 💛 SUBSCRIBE for TRAVEL, LIFESTYLE and GOOD VIBES.
Hi, my name is Nelly and I'm a procrastinator.
Hi guys, welcome to my channel Nelly's Life.
It's been a while since I announced that I want to reactivate this channel.
So I actually said that I want to upload a video as soon as we hit 200k on our main travel
channel, making it a vlog.
That was quite a while ago and I wonder what happened since then.
Well, I'm looking for excuses but in reality I don't have any excuse.
I mean yes, we moved to Manila.
There was lots going on but I had lots of time in between and it would have been super
easy just to sit down, film a video, super casual, nothing fancy, just talk to you guys.
But I didn't do it.
So why?
And the reality is, I was a little bit scared.
Reason being that I uploaded a video a few years ago.
As you might know, there is a playlist that has hidden videos.
One of those videos was my first video.
I sat down, I wasn't very comfortable in front of the camera, I started talking and
I was really really happy that I accomplished my first upload.
But then I was waiting for the feedback and I kind of was discouraged by the dislikes
on my video.
Let's do a little recap of that video and how I introduced myself.
Hi, my name is Annela.
My friends call me Nelly.
I'm a foodie, I'm a traveler, I'm an entrepreneur and now I'm a YouTuber too.
So yeah, after that I struggled to upload my second video.
Then I had this idea to do a video about entrepreneurship because I know there are a lot of females
out there who want to get maybe some advice from other females.
So I didn't take it too seriously.
I just made like a funny video about the truth being an entrepreneur and like how people
think it is to be an entrepreneur and what's the reality.
So there are a lot of stereotypes about entrepreneurs and I want to tell you the truth about it.
All entrepreneurs are rich.
I've landed in money nirvana!
But yeah, that's not what I want to talk about today.
I actually wanted to talk about making things happen, making dreams happen.
So I just want to introduce myself quickly for those of you who don't know me.
My name is Nelly.
I'm born in Bosnia.
I grew up in Austria.
I lived in Miami for over three years.
We traveled a lot and with we, I mean me and Mike, we have a travel channel together.
During these travels, we traveled to the Philippines and we came back because we liked it.
And then we came back again and back again and back again.
And now, ta-da!
We live here.
Hi guys, welcome to our manila apartment.
Our apartment now, it's so crazy.
Oh my god, I'm getting emotional.
Falling feels like falling for you.
So, I'm currently speaking to you from my bedroom here in Manila and I wanted to give
you a little bit of insight why I decided to move to the Philippines and what to expect
from this channel.
I put a lot of thoughts into this and I have to be very honest with you guys, I have no
idea.
We do a lot of travel videos on our main channel, Making It Happen Vlog.
Mike is currently next door editing a video.
We travel the world.
We also travel a lot within the Philippines, meaning we have over 7,000 islands to explore,
which is pretty cool.
It's a nice backyard to have, but it's also about our life in Manila.
So, I was thinking about topics like maybe some motivational topics, maybe some experiences
that I have, maybe some products that I love, maybe, I don't know, makeup?
Is this something that you want to see?
I have no idea.
Anyways, I actually wanted to take this opportunity to talk with you guys about what inspired
me to move to the Philippines, why have I left my comfort zone.
I have a lot of people asking me, whoa, Philippines, I don't know anything about that.
Why did you move there?
How is Manila like?
Is it safe to travel there?
And these are all questions that I want to answer, and I also want to give you more insight
about life as a, I would say, Westerner in an Asian or Southeast Asian country.
So I thought I'll give you a little insight of what happened in the past few months while
we were here in the Philippines.
Welcome to the Philippines, amigo, amiga.
What is that?
This is unlike anything.
If you never come around, how are we ever gonna be?
If you're always on the ground, then you're never gonna see what...
The Philippines are amazing!
Can I take a picture with you guys?
Of course!
Philippines, only in the Philippines, right?
How amazing is this?
This is insane.
Wow.
I can't believe this place is real.
The ride here was spectacular.
We were literally driving through the clouds or above the clouds, and it felt like we were flying.
I looked to the right, and all I saw was little happy clouds.
Thank you for recommending this to us, guys.
This is absolutely stunning.
I mean, this view is priceless.
Locals here by the beach, standing right by the boat, getting ready for the ocean.
Do you want to say hello?
Hello!
Hi!
What's your name?
Okay.
High five.
Yes.
I love the Philippines.
Filipino!
And I think one of the main reasons why we decided to move here is it feels right.
It's a decision that came from our hearts.
I shared a lot of tears with you guys.
All the experiences that we had in the Philippines made me very emotional.
And when you travel to the Philippines for the first time,
the first thing you realize is everybody's smiling, everybody's super friendly.
And in my opinion, Filipinos are the friendliest people in the world.
They just make you feel like you're part of the family,
no matter where you come from, no matter what kind of status you have.
So that is an attitude that I really fell in love with.
And yeah, here we are in the Philippines.
So guys, I don't want to talk too much in the first video.
I just wanted to give you a sneak peek what to expect and what happened.
