ARE WE GETTING THE HOUSE?

We are meeting with our lender to see if we can't sort out all of this financial fiasco, crazy stuff that's happening. It's not me. That's, it's, it's crooked. You still remember? Good morning, guys. Rise and shine. We are up early. No, we're not. We actually just dropped all our kids off at school. I might sound a little raspy. It's because I woke up feeling terrible. I am sick, but we got a few things going on today. One, we're going to take you guys through our house. They've done a whole lot to it. It's kind of crazy. Um, we didn't go for a couple of days and all of a sudden it seems like, wow, how did they get all this done? But they messed up a couple of things. Um, so we're going to have to have that fixed, but we'll take you guys and show you that in a minute. But first we are meeting with our lender to see if we can't sort out all of this financial fiasco, crazy stuff that's happening. So we're already off to a rough start this morning. I woke up feeling bleh. Um, we got, the kids were late to school for the first time this whole year and we forgot our memory card in the camera. So we are vlogging phone style today. It's so fun. Hopefully this isn't a sign of how things are about to go. Guys, Maren is just looking at me like she doesn't know. She literally was crying. It's me. It's your dada. You look so confused. Why are you acting like that? We just got in here with Phil. Um, this is Phil Johnny. He is the guy who is hopefully saving the day. We'll see. Um, we're about to sit down and chat with him real quick and then we'll, um, update you guys afterwards. So he has made magic happen. I don't know how. It had something to do with acid. We'll have to tell him. It's an acronym. It's fine. It's fine. It's not a drug. Um, but we, everything is going to be all right. I feel so much better after talking. Like we were super confused, but he's like explained everything, start to finish. Um, Phil, thank you so much. Yeah, absolutely. I think the biggest part when you're buying a house is just the knowledge and like education up front because things can move to the left or to the right. And if you're not prepared for that ahead of time, it could be really scary. And so I think just being able to spend time sitting down, educating you guys and talking through like, what are the soup to nuts of mortgage lending and, um, making sure that we're all on the same page. Cause it's a partnership between the customer and the loan officer, making sure that you hit the closing date and all the expectations come through. Essentially he's like giving us some really good options that we're going to, um, just as we move along down the road of this process, we'll know exactly where we're at and how we're going to close this, but it's happening. So we're getting a house, everybody. And guys, if you're in the Raleigh area, hit up Phil, if you need a loan, cause this guy, I promise you he'll hook you up and he'll make it happen. How do you feel now, babe? Feel good. Yeah. Phil was all dressed up nice and Daniel's like this sweatshirt hoodie and some slippers. And I'm wearing flip flops. Hold on. You should have gone in like that. This is what I look like this whole time. The most beautiful bum I've ever seen in more ways than one. Well, Phil was great. Let's go head over to the house for a little bit. Yeah. Oh yeah. We got to show you all the things they've done and the things they didn't do. It's okay. It'll be fine. They're going to fix it. Guys, can you even believe this? Look at it. It looks like a house. There's siding and shutters and shake and all the things. Oh, and you didn't even know what color it was until now. It's white. We picked white and black. Super classic. The stone should be going on. The stone should be going on sometime, what, this week? Yeah. If I sound sick, it's because I think I am that or I'm allergic to the dog. I mean, I'm allergic to dogs, but I pet Chase, but I don't like, you know, snuggle him a lot. And I'm wondering if maybe this is triggering. Anyway, so I'm a little, my throat hurts. Bear with me. Should we go in? So when you walk in, you have your entryway. Dining room right here is open. Around here is going to be my office. It's weird to see it closed off and not open to the garage. But it'll have two doors that open up. The doors are really pretty. They have like window panes in them. And then you come down through this hall. Or you could just cut through for now. The living area. There are going to be built-ins there and there. We're going to have like a couch sort of situation probably somewhere in this vicinity. And then right here you've got the kitchen. Walk-in pantry. Like I guess you can call it a walk-in pantry. You can't walk very far into it. Step-in pantry. It's a step-in pantry. So we'll have like the flat-top gas range here. And then the oven and microwave situation will be in the cabinet in the wall. We will have a sink here. Cabinets. The refrigerator goes right here. And then there's like a little counter space here. In here are going to be cubbies and like hooks. Like a coat. Bench. Bench situation. And then a bathroom in here. Tower room. You could call it a tower room. The step-in bathroom. And then here is the step-in bathroom. Goes out to the garage. And that's it. That's our house tour. One up the stairs. We're going up the stairs. In here is our master bedroom. We can like probably like have a full-on ball in here. It's ginormous. It's ginormous. So we'll have to get some more furniture or something. In here is the master bathroom. I love that window. Think about it. It does let in so much more light. This, you guys, I can't wait till you see like the colors of things we picked out. It's so pretty. But we have a tub. Soaking tub. We're going to have a shower. The glass will come to here. And there's like a bench inside it. And this will all be tile. Closet. Step-in toilet situation. Step-in everything. Double sinks there. This is bedroom number four. Here's a prayer that I wrote. This is like one of the prayers. Like we wrote these on all the walls. Just different things. So in here, just about our kids. Because this will be one of our kids' rooms in here. They have a cute little window. Closet situation. Kids' bedroom. Look at this job. It's not me. It's crooked. Right? Right? Is it me or is it wonky? Does it look wonky from the outside, babe? Another bedroom in here. That one's the only one with a walk-in closet. This has a nice little closet. It's a big bedroom though. With two windows. So we'll probably put two girls in here. Girls' bathroom. Sink, sink, bathroom. They get their own toilet. There's a plug here. And at first I was like, that's a weird place to put a plug. An outlet above a toilet. But then I realized, I can put a shelf and a diffuser. In case our girls don't know what to do. Okay, there's a hallway here. This is John's office. Just kidding. Or you can put a desk here. It's up to you. Thanks, babe. I appreciate it. That's my office right there. Y'all saw her office. Here's my office. This might be nicer. My step-in office. This might be nice. I mean, either one. We made sure there was a light above each space. But you know, if you want a corner desk. And then we have a wall cabinet. Or if you want a wall desk and a corner cabinet. I'm not working in here. So just go to the laundry. Just listen. If he doesn't work in here, it's fine. But John usually works on his laptop. And likes to kind of be where he can see things that are happening. And so I think if this is the loft area. And hang out like hub. You'll be just hanging out. And going over there and looking out the window. Maybe. Here's the laundry room. The door is going to open some way. In here is the loft. Now that it has walls you can actually kind of see. It's really cool. So we'll have a TV mounted up on the wall. For movie nights. You know, sectional sort of situation. Over here. There are two closets. For storing blankets, games. Children. Maybe. We could probably make a dog house. Oh yeah. One for each. One for Chase. One for. They will like to snuggle together. So here is a little nook. We'll probably put kids in there. With like a table and a little activity. Alright. Up, up, up. And then the third floor. This looks so different. So different. Which you recommend, doesn't it? I mean it looks scary. So over here. Storage, air conditioning. All the things. This is our bedroom. This is so cool. This room is way bigger than I thought it would be. I'm very excited about it. We'll have like play kitchen. Little kid stuff. John, just so you know. I don't know if I can swing. Can I swing this way? Yeah. All things. Hangout area. Just a room for fun. Here is one of the situations where they made a slight mistake. The ceiling fan should be here. But it's there. So it is like just very not centered between the kid lights. We're going to need them to fix that. No problem. Yeah, it should be more like right there. So it was here. And we said, hey, move it six inches that way. And then it ended up there. Which is fine. They said they'll get it taken care of. So it will be centered. And then over here we have the girls bathroom. I can't wait to see the colors. I'm so excited about this one. Love you so much, God. And this will be probably Tyler and Elena's room. I'm thinking the older girls upstairs by themselves with their own bathroom. But this is a really nice sized room. They have two windows. see how there will be locks on these windows. People, safety first. They will not be able to open the windows because it's far enough to get out. Okay, and then along the lines of ceiling fan situations this one is also not centered between these two cans and that. It should probably be like six inches that way. But we'll get them to fix that too. Otherwise everything looks great. Like seriously, this house is I mean, the sheetrock's in. Everything's mudded and taped. The corner beads are on. It's scrapped out. Moving along. Once everything's dried completely and they sand it down, we'll be ready to paint. So guys, kids are all home now. About to make dinner. Got a whiny baby. She finally recognizes me. You recognize me now? That's how she looks at me normally. But she was looking at me earlier. Not normal. So about to get dinner going for all the girls. I cannot wait to see it get painted and the flooring to go in and the counters and the cabinets and all the things. I can't wait to show you guys all the things we picked. It's gonna be beautiful, I hope. You know, you pick it all separately and you have these tiny little samples that you're kind of choosing and putting things together with. So hopefully when it all actually comes together, a full size, it will be like I pictured it in my head. But anyway, we're winding down the night. We are gonna make dinner for our kids. We love you guys so much. We'll see you soon. I'm so glad we had a happy house update for you. And I feel so relieved. So much weight off my chest. So now we just gotta make sure they move those lights back over and wait for the next steps. You guys, also we have a special visitor coming this month.
